                  New Potatoes With Green Onion Sauce

  1 1/2  Lb.           new potatoes
  1      C.            water
    3/4  Tsp.          salt
  6      Tbsp.         butter
  1 1/2  C.            sliced green onions and tops
  1      Dash          pepper
    1/4  C.            flour
  1                    tall can evaporated milk

Scrape or peel potatoes. Cut in half if large. Cover,
bring to boil with water and salt. Reduce heat and simmer
until fairly tender, about 20 to 25 minutes. Add butter,
onions and pepper. Cook 5 to 10 minutes longer. Make a paste
of the flour and half the milk. Add to undrained potatoes and
onions; stir to blend smooth. Stir in remaining milk; return
to heat, stirring until sauce is thickened.
Serves 6.
