                     Cheesy New Potatoes With Bacon

 12                    medium-sized new potatoes
  8      Slices        bacon -- cooked and crumbled
  1      C.            shredded medium-sharp Cheddar cheese
    1/2  C.            butter or margarine -- melted
  1      Tsp.          salt
                       pepper to taste

Wash potatoes thoroughly; do not peel. Place potatoes
in a small Dutch oven; cover with water. Bring to a boil;
reduce heat and cook about 20 minutes or until tender. Drain
well and cool slightly. Cut into 1/4 inch slices. In order
listed: potatoes, bacon, cheese, butter, salt and pepper, layer
half of all ingredients in a 2 quart casserole. Repeat layers.
Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes. Yield: 6 to 8 servings.
