     Title: Corn-on-the-Cob in a Spicy Gravy (Masala Makai)

     2    Corn on the cobs
   425 g  Can of tomatoes; juice only

MMMMM--------------------FOR THE SPICE PASTE-------------------------
   1/2 sm Onion, finely chopped
     2 cl Garlic, peeled & chopped
     1 ts Coriander seed
     1 ts Cumin seed
   1/2 ts Grated fresh ginger root
     2    Green chillies, deseeded
          -- and chopped
     1    1 inch piece cinnamon stick
     1    Clove

 NOTES: 1 medium corn-cob will serve 3 as a side dish or 1 as main
 course.

 CONVERSIONS: 425 g = 15 oz

 ABBREVIATIONS:  sm = small
                 cl = clove
                 ts = teaspoon

 If you only have a hand blender or no blender at all, grind the
 coriander, cumin, cinnamon and clove in a coffee grinder or pestle
 and mortar.
