1 head boston or red leaf lettuce
1 pint fresh strawberries -- quartered
2 cans mandarin oranges -- drained
1 purple onion -- sliced thin
1 kiwi fruit -- sliced
DRESSING:
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup cider vinegar
3/4 cup salad oil (canola)
1 tablespoon poppy seeds
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
1/4 teaspoon paprika
Tear lettuce in pieces. Combine with quartered strawberries, drained
mandarin oranges, onion and kiwi.
Dressing:
Combine all ingredients in a separate bowl and whisk.
Toss with salad right before serving.
