MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

     Title: Spanish Rice

     Yield: 6 Servings

   1/4 c  Butter; in cubes
     2 c  Uncooked instant rice
14 1/2 oz Can diced tomatoes;
          - undrained
     1 c  Water; boiling
     2    Beef bouillon cubes
     1 md Onion; chopped
     1 cl Garlic; minced
     1    Bay leaf
     1 ts Sugar
     1 ts Salt
   1/4 ts Pepper

 In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add rice; cook and
 stir until lightly browned. Add remaining ingredients; bring to a
 boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer until the liquid is absorbed
 and rice is tender, 10 to 15 minutes. Remove bay leaf before
 serving.
