Yield: 6 Servings
1 c Uncooked Converted Rice
2 c Water
1 ea Knoor Vegetable Cube
1 cn Chopped mild green chilis
-(4 oz can) undrained
1/2 c Onion, diced
1/4 c Red bell pepper, diced
1 ts Dried oregano
1/2 ts Cumin seeds
Place water and vegetable cube in saucepan and bring to a boil over
high heat, making sure that the vegetable cube is dissolved. Add the
rest of the ingredients, lower heat to low, cover pan and simmer for
25-30 minutes OR until liquid is absorbed and rice is tender.
This dish has a slight Indian flavor.
There are all sorts of possibilities with adding other spices to give
the dish other flavors.
