3 lb Cucumbers
6 tb Salt
1 1/2 c Water -- boiling
2 tb Sugar
1/2 ts Accent
6 cl Garlic -- sliced
1/4 c Vinegar
1 1/2 c Ice water
2 ts Dried red pepper flakes
Cut the cucmbers in half lengthwise, then slice diagonally into
1/2"-thick slices and place in a large bowl. Mix salt with boiling
water and pour over the cucumbers and let stand 1 hour, then drain.
Mix the remaining ingredients and pour over the cucumbers and
refrigerate.
