1 Cooking apple
2 tb Grape Nuts -- per apple
2 tb Sugar -- per apple
Cinnamon
Wash apple(s) and core. Place right side up in a medium sized baking
dish. Alternately layer the sugar and Grape Nuts in the core of each
apple until the core is full to slightly overflowing. Sprinkle 2 ts
or so of water on each apple and a little on the bottom of the baking
dish. Sprinkle with cinnamon to taste. Bake at 350 F until apples are
soft or for 45 to 50 minutes. Serve warm or cold with fatfree
half-n-half, if available.
