MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

     Title: Vietnamese Pork Chops
Categories: Pork, Vegetables, Citrus, Chilies
     Yield: 6 servings

     2    Lemongrass stalks; chopped
     2    Shallots; chopped
   1/4 c  Soy sauce
   1/4 c  Fish sauce or add'l soy
          - sauce
     3 tb Brown sugar
     2 tb Oil
     3 cl Garlic; minced
 1 1/2 lb Thin-cut boneless pork loin
          - chops

MMMMM-----------------------DIPPING SAUCE----------------------------
   1/2 c  Hot water
     3 tb Sugar
     3 tb Lime juice
     2 tb Fish sauce or soy sauce
     1 cl Garlic; minced
   1/4 ts Red bird's eye chile (optional)

 In a shallow dish, combine the first 7 ingredients. Add pork; turn
 to coat. Refrigerate 4 hours or overnight.

 In a small bowl, whisk dipping sauce ingredients until sugar is
 dissolved. Cover and refrigerate until serving.

 Drain pork, discarding marinade. Grill pork, covered, over medium
 heat or broil 4" from heat, 5 to 6 minutes on each side. Let stand
 5 minutes before serving. Serve with dipping sauce.
