1 lb Pumpkin or winter squash;
- peeled,
- cut into bite-sized cubes
1 c Flour
1/3 ts Sugar
1/3 ts Salt
1/4 ts Cinnamon
1 pn Nutmeg
1 Egg; beaten
2 tb Vegetable oil
1/4 c Water
Cooking oil; hot
Dip cubed pumpkin into batter of combined flour, sugar, salt,
cinnamon, nutmeg, egg, vegetable oil, and water, and deep fry in hot
oil until golden brown. Drain on paper toweling and serve hot.
