MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

     Title: Simmered Pumpkin
Categories: Japanese
     Yield: 1 Batch

   600 g  Pumpkin or squash; cut into
          -chunks
    70 ml Fish broth
     1 tb Mirin sweet cooking alcohol
     1 tb Soy sauce
     1 tb Sake Japanese rice wine
     1 ts Cane sugar
          White sesame seeds
          Sichimi spice

 Cut pumpkin into chunks and put in a pot with the peel facing down.
 Mix next 5 ingredients and add to pot.

 Cover with lid and turn heat to medium-high. Bring to a boil and
 reduce heat to medium-low.

 Cook for 8-10 minutes. Turn off heat and continue to steam with lid
 on for another 10 minutes.

 Plate pumpkin and then pour any remaining liquid on top. Sprinkle
 white sesame seeds and shichimi spice on top.
