MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

     Title: Sate Ayam Madura (Maduran Style Chicken Satay)
Categories: Chicken, Indonesian
     Yield: 1 Batch

   500 g  Chicken; cut into 1x2 cm
          -pieces
     2 tb Sweet soy sauce
     1 tb Butter; melted
    25    Satay sticks; soaked in
          -water

MMMMM------------------------PEANUT SAUCE-----------------------------
   100 g  Peanuts; fried without oil;
          -skinned, finely pounded
     1 tb Garlic; finely pounded;
          -fried
     2    Red chillies (bird's eye
          -chillies); finely pounded
   1/2 ts Salt
   100 ml Water; up to 200 ml, warm

 Mix chicken with soy sauce and butter. Skewer 4-5 pieces with a satay
 stick.

 Mix 2 to 3 tb peanut sauce, 1 to 2 tb sweet soy sauce, and 3 to 5 tb
 boiling water in a plate and stir well.

 Dip each satay into this sauce, flipping over several times to cover
 all surfaces, then grill on hot charcoal.

 Serve satays with accompaniments.

 Serve with:

 Peanut sauce, sliced shallots, sweet soy sauce, and lime juice
