     Title: Pumpkin With Dal (Jaffna Style)

     Yield: 1 Batch

     1 lb Pumpkin
   1/2 ts Cumin seed
     2 tb Mung dal or channa dal
   1/8 ts Turmeric
   1/2 c  Coconut paste
          Salt

 Boil the dal for 15 minutes and set aside. Boil the pumpkin in 1/2 cup
 water for 15 minutes. Add the dal, coconut paste, and spices, stir
 well and simmer for 10 to 15 minutes.
