2 c Water
1 cl Garlic; minced
2 tb Brown sugar; packed
1 tb Sesame seeds
1/4 ts Ground ginger
1/2 c Soy sauce
3 lb Spareribs; cut in 2" pieces
1 tb Corn starch
2 tb Green onion; chopped
Combine water, 1/4 cup soy sauce, and garlic in large saucepan.
Place ribs in liquid and bring to boil. Reduce heat, cover and
simmer over low heat 1 hour. Remove cover, bring to boil and cook
20 minutes longer. Drain, reserving 1/4 cup cooking liquid. Mix
remaining 1/4 cup soy sauce, brown sugar, corn starch, sesame
seeds, green onion, and ginger. Place spareribs and reserved
1/4 cup cooking liquid in skillet over medium heat. Pour seasoned
soy mixture over ribs and cook, turning ribs often and spooning
sauce over until sauce is thickened and adheres to ribs, about
10 minutes. Serve in chafing dish to keep warm.
