3 oz Sugar
2 oz Soy sauce
1 oz Hoisin sauce
1 oz Sherry
1 cl Garlic; mashed
Red food coloring; as
-desired
MMMMM--------------------FOR "TERIYAKI"-STYLE-------------------------
3 oz Sugar
2 oz Soy sauce
1 oz Sherry
1 cl Garlic; mashed
1 Ginger piece; mashed
1 Scallion; minced
1 tb Oil
The teriyaki would more likely be used for beef or chicken but can
be used for pork as well.
Combine all ingredients in a bowl, cut the meat into appropriate
sized pieces, and marinate: for roast pork at least 2 hour, turning
occasionally; for teriyaki at least 1 hour, turning once.
Both of these will make a dish that is less sweet than at the
restaurants. If you desire more sweetness, add more sugar or some
corn syrup up to a ratio of 2:1 sugar to soy sauce.
