     Title: Ants Climb a Tree

     Yield: 4 Servings

     8 oz Bean threads
     6 cl Garlic; minced
          Ginger root (1/2"); minced
     2 tb Soy sauce
     1 ts Sesame oil
     5 tb Peanut oil
     2 tb Hot pepper sauce
     6    Scallions; shredded
 1 1/4 ts Salt
     1 lb Ground pork

 Mayi Shang Shiu (Pork with Mung Bean Threads) apparently translates
 into English as "ants climbing in trees." [g]

 Soak bean thread in 4 cups boiling water for about 20 minutes.
 Marinate meat in 1/2 scallions, soy and sesame oil. Chop ginger
 and garlic. Heat oil in wok and stir-fry the hot pepper paste,
 ginger and garlic over high heat. Add meat and stir fry for about
 2 more minutes. Add 1/4 cup soy sauce and cook another 30 seconds.
 Add noodles and stir, chopping noodles in process. Add 2/3 cup
 water and rest of scallions. Adjust salt to taste.
