     Title: Canadian Army Butter Tarts

     Yield: 50 Servings

 1 1/3 kg Basic sweet or plain pastry
1 3/16 kg Brown sugar
   170 g  Shortening
    80 g  Butter
    60 g  Corn syrup
     1 ml Salt
   300 g  Frozen eggs; thawed
     5 ml Vanilla extract
   500 g  Raisins or sultanas

 Line each 4 cm tart tin, 25 g per tin. Set aside for use in step 5.

 Mix ingredients until smooth

 Add eggs and vanilla slowly; mix until smooth.

 Add raisins; mix well

 Using a #24 scoop, place 45 g mixture in each tart shell.

 Bake at 180 C/360 F for 35 minutes or until bubbly & cooked.

 Cool completely.
