1/3 lb Ground beef
1/3 lb Ground pork
1/3 lb Ground veal
1 sm Onion; chopped
1 ts Garlic; minced
1/2 ts Salt
1/2 ts Savory
1/4 ts Celery pepper
1/4 ts Ground cloves
1/2 c Water
1/3 c Bread crumbs or
4 Soda crackers; crushed
Place all except bread crumbs in pan. Bring to a boil and cook for 20
minutes, on medium heat. Stir often. Remove from heat. Add some of
the bread crumbs, let stand 10 minutes. If fat is sufficiently
absorbed do not use rest of bread crumbs. Pour into pastry lined pie
tin. Cover with pastry. Bake at 500 F until top is well browned,
15 to 20 minutes.
