1 c Flour
2/3 c Sugar
2 tb Cocoa
2 ts Baking powder
1/4 ts Salt
1/2 c Water
2 tb Unsweetened applesauce
1 ts Vanilla extract
2/3 c Brown sugar
1/4 c Cocoa
1 3/4 c Water -- hot
Mix first 5 ingredients. Add next three. Mix just until moistened.
Put into an 8" square pan, which has been sprayed with Pam. Mix cocoa
and brown sugar. Sprinkle evenly over battter in pan. Pour hot water
evenly over all. Bake at 350 F for 40 to 45 minutes.
