4 oz German chocolate squares
2 c Sugar
3 c Flour -- sifted with:
1/2 ts Soda -- and:
1/4 ts Salt
2 ts Vanilla
1 c Butter
4 Eggs
1 c Buttermilk
Partially melt chocolate over hot water. Remove and stir rapidly
until entirely melted. Cool. Cream sugar and oleo. Add eggs, vanilla,
and buttermilk. Then flour mixture. Stir in chocolate until blended.
Bake at 300 to 325 F for 1-1/2 hours in greased and floured bundt
pan. Remove from pan and place under tight cover until thoroughly
cold.
