     Title: BRICKLE BITES

     Yield: 35 Servings

    35    Saltine crackers
   1/2 c  Butter or margarine
   1/2 c  Brown sugar
   1/2 c  Semisweet chocolate chips
     2 ts Shortening

 Recipe by: Sue Klapper Heat oven to 350. Line jelly roll pan with foil,
 extending foil over edges. Generously grease foil. Arrange crackers, with
 sides touching, over bottom of foil-lined pan. In small saucepan, combine
 margarine and brown sugar.  Bring to boil over medium heat; boil 3 minutes,
 stirring occasionally. Pour evenly over crackers; spread quickly to cover.
 Bake at 350 for 6 to 8 minutes or until bubbly; cool completely. In small
 saucepan over low heat, melt chips and shortening, stirring constantly.
 Drizzle over cooled crackers.  Let stand until set. Break into pieces
 between crackers.
