     Title: MICROWAVE APRICOT BALLS

   1/3 c  Butter or margarine
     1    Egg; slightly beaten
     1 c  Dried apricots; snipped
   3/4 c  Sugar
   1/4 c  Flour
     2 c  Wheat squares;bite-size,
          -coarsely crushed
   1/2 c  Walnuts; chopped
   1/4 ts Almond extract

 Place the butter in a 2 1/2 quart bowl.  Cook, uncovered on high power for
 30 seconds to 1 minute or until melted. Add the slightly beaten egg,
 snipped dried apricots, sugar, and flour; stir till well combined.
 Micro-cook, uncovered, for 3 1/2 to 4 1/2 minutes or till very thick,
 stirring every minute. Remove from microwave and cool about 5 minutes. Add
 the crushed shredded wheat squares, the chopped walnuts and the almond
 extract; stir till well combined. Shape into 1-inch balls. Store tightly
 covered in refrigerator. Makes about 40 pieces.
