     Title: WALNUT PENUCHE

          DOLORES MCCANN   (BSWN00A)
 1 1/2 c  Walnuts; chopped
   2/3 c  Butter; or margerine
     1 c  Brown sugar; packed
    14 oz Sweetened condensed milk
 1 1/2 ts Vanilla

    Toast walnuts: Spread a single layer in a 9-inch glass pie plate. Stir-
 ring every two minutes, microwave on high 6 minutes, or until toasted.
    Place butter in a 2-quart glass measure. Microwave on high one minute.
 Blend in brown sugar and condensed milk. Stirring every 2 minutes, micro-
 wave on high 8-9 minutes, or until mixture is a medium-caramel color. Stir
 in vanilla and beat with a wooden spoon 2-3 minutes. Fold in walnuts. Pour
 into buttered 8-inch square dish. Cool to lukewarm; then refrigerates until
