500 g Sausage Meat
1 Red or green capsicum
1 ts Thyme
1 c Soft breadcrumbs
1 md Onion
1 cl Garlic
1 c Cheese; grated
400 g Pkt flakey pastry
Chop onion & capsicum finely. Crush, peel & finely chop garlic.
Combine with sausage meat, breadcrumbs thyme & cheese. Mix
thoroughly with hands. Lightly flour bench & roll sausage mixture
into 3 sausages approximately 1 inch in diameter.
Roll out pastry into 3 strips approximately 4 inches wide. Place a
sausage in the center of each pastry strip. Roll up pastry around
sausage mixture, sealing well with milk. Glaze with milk & cut into
sausage rolls approximately 2 inches long. Cut a couple of
diagonally slits in top of pastry.
Place rolls seam side down on a greased or sprayed oven tray. Cook
at 425 F (220 C) for 20 minutes.
