MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

     Title: Cinnamon Sugar Doughnuts

     Yield: 12 servings

     1 c  A-P flour
   1/2 c  Sugar
   1/2 ts Baking powder
   1/2 ts Baking soda
   1/4 ts Salt
   1/2 ts Ground cinnamon
   1/4 ts Ground nutmeg
     1 lg Egg; room temperature,
          - lightly beaten
   2/3 c  Buttermilk
     1 tb Canola oil
   1/2 ts Vanilla extract
   1/2 c  Sugar
     1 tb Ground cinnamon

 Set the oven @ 350 F/175 C.

 In a small bowl, combine the first 7 ingredients. In another bowl,
 combine the egg, buttermilk, oil and vanilla; stir the wet
 ingredients into the dry ingredients until just moistened.

 Pipe or spoon batter into 2 greased 6 cavity doughnut pans, filling
 each cavity three-quarters full.

 Bake until a toothpick inserted in the thickest part of the
 doughnut comes out clean, 10-12 minutes.

 Cool for 5 minutes before removing from pans to wire racks. In a
 small bowl combine the sugar and cinnamon to make coating. Roll
 warm doughnuts in coating.
