                           Chocolate Chip Pie

  2      c             All-purpose flour
  1      tb            Baking powder
    1/4  ts            Salt
  1 1/2  c             Light brown sugar --
                       - firmly packed
    1/2  c             Butter -- melted
  2      lg            Eggs -- beaten
  1      tb            Vanilla extract
 12      oz            Semisweet chocolate chips
    1/2  c             Walnuts or pecans -- chopped

Combine flour, baking powder, salt, and light brown sugar in a medium
bowl. Add butter, eggs, and vanilla; stir well. Stir in chocolate
morsels and nuts. Spoon into a greased 9" pieplate. Bake at 350 F for
35 to 40 minutes or until a knife inserted in center comes out clean.
Cool on a wire rack.

Yield: 1 Pie (9")

Wonderful with vanilla or butter pecan ice cream.
