Title: Bob Hope's Lemon Pie

1 c Sugar
2 tb Sugar
3 tb Corn starch
1 c Water; boiling
2 tb Butter
1 pn Salt
4 tb Lemon juice
4 Egg yolks
1 Lemon; grated rind of
3 Egg whites
Pie shell; baked
2 tb Sugar
Combine corn starch and sugar, add water slowly, stirring
constantly, until thick and smooth. Add slightly beaten egg yolks,
butter, lemon rind, juice and salt. Cook 2-3 minutes. Pour into
baked shell. Cover with meringue made from 3 egg whites, beaten
stiff and 2 tb sugar. Bake in slow oven 15 minutes until brown.
