1 3/4 c All purpose flour
1 ts Baking soda
1/2 ts Salt
1/2 c Unsalted butter
1/2 c Creamy peanut butter
1 c Sugar -- divided
1/2 c Brown sugar
1 lg Egg
1 ts Vanilla
2 tb Milk
1 ts Vanilla
36 Hersheys chocolate kisses
With rack in top 3rd position, preheat oven 375 F. Sift flour, soda,
and salt onto a piece of waxed paper. In large bowl, with mixer on
high beat butter and peanut butter together until creamy. Gradually
add 1/2 cup sugar and all the brown sugar. Beat until light in color
and consistency. Beat in egg, milk, and vanilla. Using wooden spoon,
stir in flour. Place remaining granulated sugar in small bowl. Using
1 tb of dough for each, form dough into balls. Roll in sugar. Place
1-1/2" apart on ungreased baking sheets. Bake one sheet at a time,
until edges are set, 8 minutes. Remove. Place a kiss in the center of
each cookie. Return to oven; continue baking until lightly browned,
2 minutes longer. Cool on sheet 5 minutes then transfer to wire racks
to cool. Repeat.
