Yield: 30 Cookies
60 g Butter
1/2 ts Vanilla essence
1/3 c Caster sugar (75 g)
1 Egg; lightly beaten
1 ts Milk
2/3 c Self-raising flour (100 g)
1/2 c Plain flour (75 g)
1 tb Milk; + extra
2 tb Hundreds and thousands

Beat butter, vanilla, and sugar in a small bowl with an electric mixer
until smooth; add the egg and milk, beating until only combined. Stir
in sifted flours and mix to a soft dough.
Knead gently on lightly floured surface until smooth; cover and
refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Roll dough between sheets of baking paper until 5 mm thick. Cut into
5 cm rounds and place 3 cm apart on greased oven trays.
Brush rounds with extra milk and sprinkle with hundreds and
thousands. Bake in a moderate oven for 12 minutes or until firm. Cool
on trays.
