1 c Shortening
1 c Brown sugar
1 c Granulated sugar
2 Eggs
1 t Vanilla
1 1/2 c Sifted all-purpose flour
1 t Baking powder
1/2 t Soda
1/2 t Salt
2 c Quick-cook rolled oats
1 c Coconut
1 c Gumdrops; cut small pieces
Thoroughly cream shortening and sugars; add eggs and vanilla; beat
well. Sift dry ingredients. Add to creamed mixture. Add remaining
ingredients. Drop from teaspoon onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at
375-degrees about 10 to 12 minutes. Makes about 6 dozen.
