MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

     Title: Molasses Cookies
Categories: Cookies
     Yield: 12 Dozen

     2 c  Brown sugar
   1/2 c  Molasses
 4 1/2 c  Flour
     2 ts Cinnamon
     1 ts Cloves
          Granulated sugar
 1 1/2 c  Shortening
     2    Eggs
     4 ts Baking soda
     2 ts Ginger
   1/2 ts Salt

 Mix brown dugar, shortening, molasses, and eggs. Mix in flour, baking
 soda, cinnamon, ginger, cloves, and salt. Cover and chill for at
 least an hour. Heat oven to 375 degrees F. Shape dough by rounded
 teasponsful into balls. (Use a tablespoon to measure the dough for
 those big ones that you want to eat hot from the oven.) Dip the tops
 of the dough balls into granulated sugar. Put the balls sugar-side-up
 on lightly greased cookie sheets. Bake just until set, about 10
 minutes. DON'T OVERCOOK! Immediately remove from pan to cool.
