     Title: Peanut Butter Chocolate Balls

     Yield: 54 servings

 1 1/2 c  Graham cracker crumbs
 1 1/2 c  Flaked coconut
 1 1/2 c  Peanuts or pecans; chopped
     1 c  Butter or margarine; melted
    16 oz Powdered sugar; sifted
    12 oz Crunchy peanut butter
     1 ts Vanilla extract
    24 oz Semisweet chocolate morsels
     3 tb Shortening

 Combine first 7 ingredients, stirring well.  Shape mixture
 into 1-inch balls. Combine chocolate morsels and shortening
 in top of a double boiler; bring water to a boil.  Reduce
 heat to low; cook until chocolate melts.  Dip each peanut
 butter ball into chocolate mixture.  Place on wax paper to
 cool.  Store in refrigerator.  Yield:  about 9 dozen.

 MICROWAVE DIRECTIONS: Combine first 7 ingredients, stirring
 well.  Shape mixture into 1-inch balls. Combine chocolate
 morsels and shortening in a 1-1/2-quart bowl; microwave at
 MEDIUM (50% power) for 5 to 6 minutes or until chocolate is
 softened; stir well.  Dip each peanut butter ball into
 chocolate mixture.  Place on wax paper to cool.  Store in
 refrigerator.

 NOTE:  Peanut Butter Chocolate Balls may be frozen in an
 airtight container for later use.  Remove balls from
 freezer 1 hour before serving.
