MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

     Title: Old Fashioned Pepperkakor

     Yield: 94 Cookies

 3 1/2 c  Flour
 1 1/2 ts Ginger
 1 1/2 ts Cinnamon
   1/4 ts Cardamom (optional)
     1 ts Baking soda
     1 ts Cloves
   1/2 c  Butter
   3/4 c  Sugar
     1    Egg; unbeaten
   3/4 c  Molasses
     2 ts Orange zest

 Sift dry ingredients together.

 Cream butter adding sugar gradually. Cream until light and fluffy.
 Add egg, molasses, and orange zest, beating well.

 Stir in the dry ingredients gradually, mixing until well blended.
 Cover. Chill overnight. Will keep 1 week in the refrigerator. Roll
 out on well-floured pastry cloth to 1/8" thick. Cut with cookie
 cutter. Place on greased cookie sheet and bake at 350 F for 8 to
      10    minutes.
