1/2 c Brown sugar -- packed
1/4 c Butter -- softened
1 c Bisquick baking mix
1/2 c Walnuts -- chopped
8 oz Cream cheese -- softened
1/4 c Granulated sugar
1 tb Lemon juice
2 ts Milk
1/2 ts Vanilla
1 Egg
Heat oven to 350 F. Grease square pan, 8x8x2". Beat brown sugar and
butter until fluffy. Stir in baking mix and walnuts until mixture
is crumbly; reserve 1 cup. Press remaining mixture in pan. Bake
12 minutes.
Mix cheese and granulated sugar; beat in remaining ingredients
until smooth. Spread cream cheese mixture overlayer in pan;
sprinkle with reserved crumbly mixture. Bake until center is firm,
about 25 minutes. Cut into about 2" squares. Store cookies in
refrigator.
Yield: 16 Cookies.
