                              Pumpkin Bars

  1      cup           all purpose flour
  1      cup           whole wheat flour
  2      teaspoons     baking powder
  1      teaspoon      baking soda
  2      teaspoons     ground cinnamon
    1/4  teaspoon      ground nutmeg
    1/2  teaspoon      salt
  3                    eggs -- lightly beaten
 16      ounces        canned pumpkin
  1      cup           packed brown sugar
  3      Tablespoons   vegetable oil

Preheat oven to 350.  Coat 12x9 inch baking pan with vegetable cooking spray.

In small bowl, sift together flours, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon,
nutmeg and salt.  In medium bowl, mix eggs, pumpkin, sugar and oil.  Add
flour mixture and mix well.

Spread batter into baking pan and even out with spatula.  Bake 25-30 minutes
or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.  Cool and cut into 18
squares.
