MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

     Title: Butter Pecan Banana Bars

     Yield: 48 Bars

 2 1/2 c  All-purpose flour
 1 2/3 c  Sugar
 1 1/4 ts Baking powder
 1 1/4 ts Baking soda
     1 ts Salt
   3/4 c  Butter; softened
   2/3 c  Buttermilk or sour milk
 1 1/4 c  Very ripe bananas; mashed
     2    Eggs
   1/2 c  Pecans; chopped

MMMMM-------------------BUTTER PECAN FROSTING------------------------
     4 c  Confectioners sugar
   1/2 c  Butter; softened
     2 tb Milk; up to 4 tb
     2 ts Vanilla
   1/2 c  Pecans; toasted, chopped

 In a 3 qt mixing bowl combind dry ingredients. Add butter,
 buttermilk, and bananas; beat until ingredients are moistened, about
 1 minute. Add eggs. Beat 2 minutes at medium speed, scraping sides of
 bowl often. Stir in nuts. Turn into ungreased 15x10x1" pan. Bake neat
 center of preheated 350 F oven for 30 to 40 minutes or until cake
 springs back when touched in center. Cool. Frost with Butter Pecan
 Frosting. Cut into bars.

 Butter Pecan Frosting:

 In 1 qt mixing bowl combine sugar, buttermilk, and vanilla. Beat on
 low speed, scraping sides of bowl often, until combined (1 minute).
 Increase to high speed, beat until fluffy (about 1-1/2 minutes). Fold
 in pecans.
