MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

     Title: Mom's Applesauce Fruitcake

     Yield: 1 servings

 4 1/2 c  Applesauce; hot
 1 1/2 c  Shortening
     3 c  Sugar
 6 3/4 c  Flour
 1 1/2 ts Salt
     1 c  Nuts; (or more)
     6 ts Baking soda
     1 ts Cloves
     1 c  Raisins
 1 1/2 ts Nutmeg
 3 1/2 ts Cinnamon
     1 pk Candied pineapple and/or
          -cherries

 Combine applesauce, shortening, and sugar. Add to remaining
 ingredients. Put in greased and floured pan and bake in oven [at 350
 degrees?] for 1 to 1-1/2 hours. A very moist fruitcake, and if
 wrapped properly, a keeper for 1-3 months.
