     Title: APPLESAUCE CAKE (DRIED APPLES)

     Yield: 9 Servings

   1/4 c  Butter, unsalted
   1/2 c  Honey
     2    Eggs
     2 tb Water, warm
     1 c  Fried apples; pureed in
          -blender with 1/2 c. warm
          -water
 2 1/2 c  Whole wheat pastry flour
   1/2 c  Cornstarch
     1 ts Baking soda
     1 ts Cinnamon
     1 ts Nutmeg, ground
   1/2 ts Cloves
     1 c  Raisins
     1 c  Walnuts, chopped

 Blend butter and honey well.  Add eggs, water, and apples. Sift together
 flour, cornstarch, soda, cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves into first mixture.
 Blend well. Add raisins and walnuts. Pour into 3 4 1/2 x 8 1/2 x 2 1/2"
 loaf pans which have been buttered and lined with brown paper. Bake at 325
 F. for 45 minutes. Cut into slices and serve each with a spoonful of
 sweetened whipped cream on top.
