2 c Sugar
1 1/4 c Flour
4 Eggs
3/4 c Cocoa
1 ts Vanilla
1 c Butter -- melted
1/2 c Walnuts -- (optional)
1/4 ts Salt
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Grease 8 or 9 inch pan. Melt butter.
Combine cocoa and sugar. Add melted butter. Add eggs and vanilla,
stir. Add flour and salt; mix, but DO NOT OVERMIX. Add walnuts.
Pour into prepared pan. Bake until brownies begin to pull away from
sides or toothpick comes out clean 40 - 50 minutes. Cool before
cutting into squares.
