     Title: Kolache Dough

     1 c  Mashed potatoes
     1 c  Lukewarm water
     3 pk Yeast
     1 c  Lukewarm milk
   2/3 c  Sugar
   2/3 c  Margarine
     1 tb Salt
     1    Egg; beaten
     7 c  Flour
          -FILLING FOR KOLACHES-

    Boil one potato, enough to make 1 cup mashed
 potatoes, or use instant potatoes, making 1 cup. Scald
 water and milk. Cool water to lukewarm, then and only
 then, add the yeast. Scald milk and add to sugar and
 margarine or Crisco.  Add salt.  When cool, add the
 beaten egg. Add the mashed potatoes. When milk mixture
 is lukewarm, add yeast. Add 4 cups of flour; beat and
 beat using large spoon, 3 to 5 minutes. Add the
 remaining 3 cups of flour; beat, beat, and beat. Cover
 the bowl and place in the refrigerator. When the dough
 is completely chilled, make Kolaches, cinnamon rolls
 or dinner rolls, or doughnuts.

    Method of Making Kolaches.  To make your kolaches,
 dip a tablespoon into flour and dip out a heaping
 tablespoon of dough and drop onto a floured board.
 Roll dough in palm of hand. Place on greased baking
 pan. Brush with cooking oil or butter or margarine and
 let rise for about 20 minutes. Press down center of
 each and press spoonful of filling in each round. Let
 rise about 20 minutes and bake at 400 degrees until
 golden brown. When done brush with canned milk; cover
 to cool.
