1.Introduction
--------------

Welcome to my guide for Battlefront 1. Now I realize that this game has been
out for a long time. But I was looking for a Unit Guide, but I couldn't find
one. So I've decided to make my own, using my extensive knowledge of the units
of this game.

I hope this helps you become better with every unit you use.

This guide can be found on the following websites:

http://www.gamefaqs.com
http://www.neoseeker.com
http://www.supercheats.com

It can also be found on GameSpot, but GameSpot share GameFaqs FAQS.

On to the guide...

---------------------
2.Republic Clone Army
---------------------

Clone Trooper
--------------

Armed With:
 Blaster Rifle
 Blaster Pistol
 Thermal Detonators
 Concussion Grenades

Pro's:
.Good at both close and long range
 .Very effective rifle
 .Carries large amounts of ammunition
 .Good at cutting down enemies

Con's:
 .No special abilities
.May be difficult to eliminate Droideka's

Rating: 8.5/10

The standard trooper. They can be used in any situation. They aren't good at
anything, but they aren't bad at anything either.

Strategy:
If you get some other troopers to follow you, then you can be quite the
fighting force. Try to save grenades for vehicles or Droideka's, because both
of them are difficult to beat normally. No matter what you are doing, always
try to find cover. Even a rock that isn't even half your height is better
 then no cover.

Clone Sharpshooter
-------------------

Armed with:
Sniper Rifle (One level of zoom)
 Blaster Pistol
 Thermal Detonators
 Recon Droid

Pro's:
 .Very effective at long range
.Faster running speed than average troops
.Orbital Strike feature can be very damaging

Con's:
 .Lower health than average troops
.Not as effective at close range
 .Slow rate of fire
 .Small clip size
 .Only one level of zoom

Rating: 6.5/10

A sniper unit. Good at long range despite the fact that the sniper rifle only
has one level of zoom.

Strategy:
Try to find a place higher up than most units. Once you've found it, go prone
and try to get some headshots. If need be, get some Clone Troopers to follow
you, so if anyone sneaks up behind you, you can be alerted. After you've
taken a few shots, if possible, find a new place to fire from. This can
confuse enemy humans as to where you're located.

Arc Trooper
------------

Armed with:
 Rocket Launcher
 Blaster Pistol
 Thermal Detonators
 Mines

Pro's:
.More health than the average trooper
.Rocket can be devastating against vehicles and large groups of units
.Mines can kill many units/vehicles at once
.Can fire two rockets before needing to reload

Con's:
 .Slower than normal running speed
.Rocket Launcher takes a while to reload
.Not very good against single opponents

Rating: 8.5/10

Probably the best Rocket Trooper in the game. The ability to fire two rockets
before reloading is a really good asset.

Strategy:
If you're going into a small room, it's better to use a pistol rather than
a rocket. Laying mines in hallways and choke points, can give many kills.
The downside to this troop is it's ability to only fire one rocket before
needing to reload. Luckily the Rebel vehicles for the most part are pretty
weak, so this isn't much of a downside. When taking on soldiers, aim at the
floor in front of them, so they receive the splash damage. This way you don't
 have to be as accurate.

Clone Pilot
------------

Armed with:
 DN Bolt Caster
 Blaster Pistol
 Fusion Cutter
 Ammo/Health Dispenser

Pro's:
.Can kill enemies in one hit
 .Fusion Cutter can repair equipment
.Ammo/Health dispenser can, well, dispense ammo/health
.Automatically gives health to any vehicle that he's in

Con's:
.You need to be close to use DN Bolt Caster well
.The DN Bolt Caster must be charged up to deal enough damage
.Can't really hold his own against many troops

Rating: 4/10

Probably the most useless unit in the Clones army. Only really good to use if
you plan on sticking in a vehicle for most of the life.

Strategy:
One good thing about the Clone Pilot is, that a fully charged DN Bolt Caster
shot to a Droideka's shield at close range will take it down. The only
problem is getting close enough, and figuring out what to do after you've
 taken down the shield.

Jet Trooper
------------

Armed with:
 EMP Launcher
 Commando Pistol
 Thermal Detonators

Pro's:
.EMP Launcher can take down a Droideka's shield in one hit
.Jetpack allows you to get to previously unavailable areas
.A very high amount of Thermal Detonators, mean you can throw more
.EMP Launcher can shoot twice before needing to reload

Con's:
.Same health a sniper, but without the running speed

Rating: 9/10

On vehicle-less maps, this is probably the Clones most useful unit. The
ability to fly, easily take down Droideka's, and having a rapid firing pistol,
make this one of the best units to use. You just have to watch out for the low
amount of health.

Strategy:
Try to keep to the roof tops. This can give you an advantage over most units.
Also, because of the sheer amount of grenades Jet Troopers have, I like to
through a few before a charge in to get a command post. This way it softens
 it up a bit.

------------------------------------
3.Confederacy of Independent Systems
------------------------------------

B1 Battle Droid
----------------

Armed with:
 Blaster Rifle
 Blaster Pistol
 Thermal Detonators
 Concussion Grenades

Pro's:
 .Much like the Clone Trooper
 .Good accuracy
 .A lot of ammo
 .High accuracy

Con's:
 .No special abilities
.Only available on the first two maps of the campaign

Rating: 8.5/10

The standard trooper. They can be used in any situation. They aren't good at
anything, but they aren't bad at anything either.

Strategy:
Use them like you would any other trooper. Use plenty of cover.

B2 Super Battle Droid
----------------------

Armed with:
 Wrist Blaster
 Tri-Shot
 Wrist Rockets

Pro's:
.Different weapons than the standard trooper
 .Tri-Shot is like shotgun

Con's:
 .Wrist Blaster shoots awkwardly
.Wrist Rockets not as effective as Thermal Detonators

Rating: 7.5/10

A very different trooper. No where near as good as they sound.

Strategy:
Use Tri-Shot when you're out of blaster ammo. Aim rockets at the feet of
large groups of enemy troops. Try not to use at too long of a range, try to
 keep the fight closer.

Assassin Droid
---------------

Armed with:
 Sniper Rifle (two times zoom)
 Blaster Pistol
 Thermal Detonators
 Recon Droid

Pro's:
 .Very effective at long range
.Faster running speed than average troops
.Orbital Strike feature can be very damaging
 .Two Levels of zoom

Con's:
 .Lower health than average troops
.Not as effective at close range
 .Slow rate of fire
 .Small clip size

Rating: 7.5/10

Assassin Droid's, like Rebel Marksman's, have two times zoom on their sniper
rifles. Otherwise they're the same as any other sniper unit.

Strategy:
Use the superiority over the Clone Sharpshooter to your advantage. With a two
times scope, you can sit even further away from the battle, and still get the
same view.   Try to find a place higher up than most units. Once you've found
it, go prone and try to get some headshots. If need be, get some B2 SBD's
to follow you, so if anyone sneaks up behind you, you can be alerted. After
you've taken a few shots, if possible, find a new place to fire from. This
can confuse enemy humans as to where you're located.

Assault Droid
--------------

Armed with:
 Rocket Launcher
 Blaster Pistol
 Thermal Detonators
 Mines

Pro's:
.More health than the average trooper
.Rocket can be devastating against vehicles and large groups of units
.Mines can kill many units/vehicles at once

Con's:
 .Slower than normal running speed
.Rocket Launcher takes a while to reload
.Not very good against single opponents
 .No special Rocket abilities

Rating: 7.5/10

Just like the Empire Shock Trooper. No different than the other Rocket
Troopers, except that they can only shoot one rocket before needing to reload.

Strategy:
The downside to this troop is it's ability to only fire one rocket before
needing to reload. Luckily the Rebel vehicles for the most part are pretty
weak, so this isn't much of a downside. When taking on soldiers, aim at the
floor in front of them, so they receive the splash damage. This way you don't
 have to be as accurate.

Droid Pilot
------------

Armed with:
 Mortar Launcher
 Blaster Pistol
 Fusion Cutter
 Ammo/Health Dispenser

Pro's:
.Can kill enemies in one hit
 .Fusion Cutter can repair equipment
.Ammo/Health dispenser can, well, dispense ammo/health
.Automatically gives health to any vehicle that he's in

Con's:
 .Mortar Launcher is pretty inaccurate
.Can't really hold it's own against many troops

Rating: 5.5/10

Generally you'll find that Pilots are pretty useless at combat. Only use as
either a support unit, or to drive a vehicle.

Strategy:
Stay behind the pack lobbing mortars over and damaging their troops. Either
that or get a vehicle and stay in it.

Droideka
---------

Armed with:
 Repeating Blasters
 Shield

Pro's:
 .Repeating Blasters tear through enemies
.Shields make you very hard to beat
.Ball mode so you can get around quick

Con's:
 .Ball mode hard to control
 .Non-Ball mode very slow
 .Weak once shield goes down
 .Quite hard to master

Rating: 9.5/10

THE most powerful unit in the game. Very deadly when you use it. Even deadlier
when the AI use it.

Strategy:
Roll up behind cover, deploy, activate shield, waddle out into hallway,
completely destroy enemy resistance. Rinse and Repeat as needed. Make sure to
get back under cover once your shield goes down.

-----------------
4.Galactic Empire
-----------------

Storm Trooper
--------------

Armed with:
 Blaster Rifle
 Blaster Pistol
 Thermal Detonators
 Concussion Grenades

Pro's:
.Good at both close and long range
 .Very effective rifle
 .Carries large amounts of ammunition
 .Good at cutting down enemies

Con's:
 .No special abilities

Rating: 9/10

THE most versatile unit in the game. The Storm Trooper is more accurate, and
can shoot faster than any other trooper in the game. When teamed up with other
Empire units against Rebel units (not vehicles) you'll win nearly every single
encounter.

Strategy:
Team up with other Storm Troopers/Dark Troopers or any other unit you can
find. And then go on a rampage. Don't forget to use cover. You aren't
 invincible.

Scout Trooper
--------------

Armed with:
Sniper Rifle (one level of zoom)
 Blaster Pistol
 Thermal Detonators
 Recon Droid

Pro's:
 .Very effective at long range
.Faster running speed than average troops
.Orbital Strike feature can be very damaging

Con's:
 .Lower health than average troops
.Not as effective at close range
 .Slow rate of fire
 .Small clip size
 .Only one level of zoom

Rating: 6.5/10

Same as the Republic Sniper. Best long range unit in the Empire arsenal, but
only has one level of zoom.

Strategy:
Try to find a place higher up than most units. Once you've found it, go prone
and try to get some headshots. If need be, get some Storm Troopers to follow
you, so if anyone sneaks up behind you, you can be alerted. After you've
taken a few shots, if possible, find a new place to fire from. This can
confuse enemy humans as to where you're located.

Shock Trooper
--------------

Armed with:
 Rocket Launcher
 Blaster Pistol
 Thermal Detonators
 Mines

Pro's:
.More health than the average trooper
.Rocket can be devastating against vehicles and large groups of units
.Mines can kill many units/vehicles at once

Con's:
 .Slower than normal running speed
.Rocket Launcher takes a while to reload
.Not very good against single opponents
 .No special Rocket abilities

Rating: 7.5/10

Just like the CIS Assault Droid. No different than the other Rocket Troopers,
except that they can only shoot one rocket before needing to reload.

Strategy:
The downside to this troop is it's ability to only fire one rocket before
needing to reload. Luckily the Rebel vehicles for the most part are pretty
weak, so this isn't much of a downside. When taking on soldiers, aim at the
floor in front of them, so they receive the splash damage. This way you don't
 have to be as accurate.

Imperial Pilot
---------------

Armed with:
 Mortar Launcher
 Blaster Pistol
 Fusion Cutter
 Ammo/Health Dispenser

Pro's:
.Can kill enemies in one hit
 .Fusion Cutter can repair equipment
.Ammo/Health dispenser can, well, dispense ammo/health
.Automatically gives health to any vehicle that he's in

Con's:
 .Mortar Launcher is pretty inaccurate
.Can't really hold his own against many troops

Rating: 5.5/10

Generally you'll find that Pilots are pretty useless at combat. Only use as
either a support unit, or to drive a vehicle.

Strategy:
Stay behind the pack lobbing mortars over and damaging their troops. Either
that or get a vehicle and stay in it.

Dark Trooper
-------------

Armed with:
 Blaster Cannon
 Blaster Pistol
 Thermal Detonators

Pro's:
.Jump Jets allow you do 'jump' really high
.Blaster Cannon is devastating at close range
 .Many Thermal Detonators

Con's:
.Jump Jet takes along time to charge up
.Less health than the standard trooper
 .Pretty useless at longer ranges

Rating: 8/10

The ultimate ambush unit. Jump Jets would be more useful if they charged
faster.

Strategy:
Hide behind some cover. When someone comes along, jet out, land in front of
them, and hit them with your Blaster Cannon. Instant kill at close range.

----------------
5.Rebel Alliance
----------------

Rebel Trooper
--------------

Armed With:
 Blaster Rifle
 Blaster Pistol
 Thermal Detonators
 Concussion Grenades

Pro's:
.Good at both close and long range
 .Very effective rifle
 .Carries large amounts of ammunition
 .Good at cutting down enemies

Con's:
 .No special abilities

Rating: 8.5/10

The standard trooper. They can be used in any situation. They aren't good at
anything, but they aren't bad at anything either.

Strategy:
If you get some other troopers to follow you, then you can be quite the
fighting force. Try to save grenades for vehicles, because they are difficult
to beat normally. No matter what you are doing, always try to find cover.
Even a rock that isn't even half your height is better then no cover.

Rebel Marksman
---------------

Armed with:
 Sniper Rifle (two times zoom)
 Blaster Pistol
 Thermal Detonators
 Recon Droid

Pro's:
 .Very effective at long range
.Faster running speed than average troops
.Orbital Strike feature can be very damaging
 .Two Levels of zoom

Con's:
 .Lower health than average troops
.Not as effective at close range
 .Slow rate of fire
 .Small clip size

Rating: 7.5/10

Rebel Marksman's, like Assassin Droids, have two times zoom on their sniper
rifles. Otherwise they're the same as any other sniper unit.

Strategy:
Use the superiority over the Scout Trooper to your advantage. With a two
times scope, you can sit even further away from the battle, and still get the
same view.   Try to find a place higher up than most units. Once you've found
it, go prone and try to get some headshots. If need be, get some Rebel's
to follow you, so if anyone sneaks up behind you, you can be alerted. After
you've taken a few shots, if possible, find a new place to fire from. This
can confuse enemy humans as to where you're located.

Rebel Vanguard
---------------

Armed with:
 Rocket Launcher
 Blaster Pistol
 Thermal Detonators
 Mines

Pro's:
.More health than the average trooper
.Rocket can be devastating against vehicles and large groups of units
.Mines can kill many units/vehicles at once
.Can fire two rockets at once

Con's:
 .Slower than normal running speed
.Rocket Launcher takes a while to reload
.Not very good against single opponents

Rating: 8.5/10

Probably the best second Rocket Trooper in the game. It's ability to fire two
rockets at once is a really good asset.

Rebel Pilot
------------

Armed with:
 Blaster Cannon
 Blaster Pistol
 Fusion Cutter
 Ammo/Health Dispenser

Pro's:
.Blaster Cannon is better than the Dark Troopers
.Blaster Cannon is the best close range weapon in the game
.Ammo/Health dispenser can, well, dispense ammo/health
.Automatically gives health to any vehicle that he's in
.Can hold his own against other troops
 .Best pilot in the game

Con's:
 .Not good at long range

Rating: 9/10

Both the best Pilot, and close range fighter in the game.

Strategy:
Try to stand around corners, and surprise enemies with a blast to the face.
Try to keep away from long range fights. Or you could take a vehicle.

Wookiee Smugglers
------------------

Armed with:
 Wookiee Bowcaster
 Grenade Launcher
 Timebombs

Pro's:
 .Excellent amount of health
.Both weapons effective at longer ranges
.Timebombs gibe you enough time to get away before detonation

Con's:
 .Running Speed is terrible
.Grenade Launcher accuracy can sometimes be bad

This unit has the most amount of health of any trooper in the game.

Strategy:
Use it as you would a normal trooper. Because of slow running speed, you'll
get hit by shots more often. Use cover wisely.

Contact Information
--------------------
This is the place to go if you want to contact me. I have a few rules that
you need to follow if you would like a reply.

1.Because of the possibility of getting spam, can you please include in the
topic of your email, something along the lines of, 'Battlefront' or,
'Unit FAQ'. Your email will probably get deleted otherwise.

2.Please use the best spelling, grammar, and English that you know. For
example, I wouldn't answer to something like, "ZOMG, I LEIK DTNO UDNRESATND
WAHT 2 DO?????" Everybody can type better than that. While I may have limited
understanding of Spanish and Dutch, writing an email in a language other
than English is most likely going to go ignored.

3.Don't ask anything that doesn't have anything to do with this guide.

Anyways, now my email address:

[email protected]

I try to check my email everyday, but there are some day when I just can't
even get to my computer. Every question will be answered within a week,
that I can promise you.
