The Weapons of Counter-Strike are ALL real-world Weapons, which the majority of
them are used by Counter-Terrorist Teams, Special Forces units, and Terrorist
groups around the world. Since the Weapons are real, the Ammunition they fire
is also real, and in effect, acts real. Fire a 9x19mm round at a door;
nothing happens. Fire a 7.62x51mm NATO round at a door, and the round will
pierce through, and kill the unlucky Terrorist standing behind it. Short Range
situations require Weapons with Ammunition that will take down the Target, but
not pierce through the Target, and hit a close by teammate. For Long Range
situations, the Ammunition has to have enough Range to reach out and touch
someone, but enough power to take out the threat quickly.
The Following Chart measures a Single Shot from the Weapon at a distance
measured by clicking the Left Stick in, and walking for 10 seconds. The Target
tested was shot in the Chest WITHOUT any Kevlar. The process was repeated
multiple times for accuracy. The damage is a ROUGH estimate based on number of
shots it took to kill the Target. When shooting a Target with Kevlar, minus
about 0.25% from the original damage, and that should come out to the total
amount of damage with Kevlar.
To be good at Counter-Strike means you have to work as a team. You must
think as a team, you must fight as a team, and you must die as a team.
A winning team is always organized, and always trusts each other, and
each other's judgment.
A winning team must also have a versatile Weapon Layout; try bringing a
player that has a Sniper Rifle, a player that has the FN M249 Light
Machine Gun, and the rest of the players with an Assault Rifle, or
Submachine Gun, depending on player preference, and Map Size.
The Sniper clears out the opposition from far away, while your guy with
the M249 lays down some suppressive fire to keep the enemies heads down.
The guys with the Assault Rifles and Submachine Guns can now do two
things: One would be to keep going through the area while the enemies'
heads are down, and get to the next area. Two would be to storm the
enemies in all the confusion, and kill them while they are preoccupied
with the Machine Gunner and Sniper.
With this layout, you will be ready for almost any situation. Now go out
onto the online battlefield known as Xbox Live, and get your ass kicked!
