A- Introduction
-A1- Welcome Statement
Welcome to the Counter-Strike Single Player FAQ. I tried to make this guide as
extensive and helpful as possible. Included you'll find basics on the gameplay
of CS, some weapon statistics, and level statistics.
-A2- Contact Information
Have a question about this guide or the game? Perhaps a comment or advice to
help make the guide better? Or maybe you'd wish to contribute a strategy? Well,
you can contact me at my email-
[email protected]. I check
it ever so often, so feel free to email me about anything. Unfortunately, I do
not have Xbox Live, so don't bother emailing me any questions about it. On the
upside, any Xbox Live strategies are greatly appreciated and I will not
hesitate to post them, seeing as how most people do have Xbox Live.

C- Gameplay Basics
The following section will cover the groundwork for most of the game.
-C1- Game Information
Counter-Strike is an FPS(first-person shooter) game. In CS, you can play as one
of two teams: the counter-terrorists, and of course, the terrorists. There are
also two modes of gameplay: Demolitions and Hostage Rescue. In demolitions, the
terrorists try to plant a bomb at one of two bomb sites and then protect it.
The counter-terrorists try to prevent the bomb from being planted, or if it is,
try to defuse it.
In Hostage Rescue, the terrorists try to prevent the counter-terrorists from
rescuing the hostages, and the counter-terrorists try to bring all hostages
back to the rescue zone.
-C2- Terms of Victory
There are a few ways to win each round.
Demolitions: If the terrorists successfully plant a bomb and it blows, they win
the round. If the terrorists plant a bomb, but the
counter-terrorists defuse it, then the win goes to the CT's.
Hostage Rescue: If the counter-terrorists successfully extract all living
hostage to the rescue zone, then they win the round.
Note that no matter what mode of gameplay you are playing, you can still win
the round by eliminating the entire opposing team.
-C3- Earning Money
In Counter-Strike, you have to buy your own weapons, ammo, and equipment. You
can earn money by successfully planting and blowing a bomb or successfully
defusing one. You also earn money for each hostage you rescue, and for each
enemy you kill. Every member of the winning team for that round even gets some
cash, whether you die or not. Beware though, you can lose points by shooting
and/or killing hostages.
-C4- The Buy Zone
The Buy Zone, as I like to call it, is the area at the beginning of the game
where you can buy weapons and the like. You know you're in the buy zone when
the green shopping cart appears on the left hand side of your screen. You can
then access the weapons menu by pressing down the left thumbstick. From here
you can access the SMG, Rifle, Pistol, Heavy, and Equipment categories. You
can also buy primary ammo by pressing the R trigger and secondary ammo by
pressing the L trigger. How much money you have left is in the bottom right
corner of your screen.
-C5- Thumbstick Controls
Right-Handed: With the right-handed configuration, the left thumbstick controls
your movement forward and backwards, side-to-side. The right
thumbstick is your "look stick", and controls which way you are
looking. Pushing down on the left thumbstick will cause you to
walk, while pushing on the right thumbstick will activate fast
look.
Left-Handed: With the left-handed configuration, the left thumbstick is the
"look stick", whereas the right thumbstick now controls your
movement forward and backwards, side-to-side. Pushing down on the
left thumbstick activates fast look, while pushing on the right
thumbstick will cause you to walk.
Right-Handed Mixed: With the right-handed mixed configuration, the left
thumbstick controls your movement forward and backwards as
well as your ability to look left and right. The right
thumbstick controls your ability to look up and down as
well as your movement side-to-side. Pushing down on the
left thumbstick activates fast look, whereas pushing on the
right thumbstick causes you to walk.
Left-Handed Mixed: With the left-handed mixed configuration, the left
thumbstick controls your ability to look up and down as well
as your movement side-to-side. The right thumbstick controls
your movement forward and backward as well as your ability
to look left and right. Pushing down on the left thumbstick
causes you to walk, whereas pushing down on the right
thumbstick activates fast look.
-C6- Button Controls
A Button: Jump
B Button: Alternate Fire(silencers, scopes, etc.)
X Button: Reload/Use(plant/defuse bombs, talk to hostages, pick up weapons)
Y Button: Cycle Weapons
L Button: Crouch(Fire in left-handed mode)
R Button: Fire(Crouch in left-handed mode)
Black Button: Cycle Grenades
White Button: Drop Weapon
Start Button: Pause Menu
Back Button: Current Scores(this DOES NOT pause the game, so use caution)
D-Pad Up: Issues the "Follow Me" command. Useful if you know the level well.
D-Pad Down: Issues the "Hold This Position" command. Useful at enemy
chokepoints, hostage sites and/or bomb sites.
D-Pad Right: Issues the "Need Backup" command. Useful if under fire, or when
planting/defusing bomb.
D-Pad Left: Issues the "Report In, Team" command. Useful for finding bombs.
-C7- Bomb/Hostage Situations
If you are a terrorist, your goal will be either to plant a bomb and defend it,
or ensure that the hostages are not rescued. To find a bomb site, a place where
you can plant the bomb, follow the markings. There is always a bomb site A and
a bomb site B, and there will be occasional markings showing you the way to
each site. Once there, you should see a circle on the ground. Plant the bomb
anywhere around that area by looking at the ground and holding X until the
meter fills up. Counter-terrorists can also use the markings to help them find
bomb sites, where terrorists are likely to plant bombs. To defuse a bomb,
simply find it, look at it, and hold X until the meter fills up. The process is
made much faster using a BDK. Note that even though you are defusing a bomb, it
can still blow up. The beeping will get faster and faster closer to detonation.
For a counter-terrorist to rescue a hostage, you must walk up to the hostage
and press X. This will get him/her to follow you. Pressing X again will get
them to stop following you. You can escort as many hostages as you want.

D- Weapon Statistics(counter-terrorist)
-D1- Pistols
K&M .45 Tactical
Clip Size: 12
Max Rounds: 100
Secondary: Silencer
Firepower: 3/5
Fire Rate: 3/5
Accuracy: 4/5
Reload Rate: 4/5
Cost: $500
Description: This is one of the cheapest pistols you can get, and you start the
the match with it too, so its not bad to have around at the start
of the game. It's not too powerful, so you'll be reloading often,
but it does have a nice reload rate. The silencer isn't really any
help, unless you can manage to sneak into a bomb site.
Night Hawk .50C
Clip Size: 7
Max Rounds: 35
Secondary: None
Firepower: 4/5
Fire Rate: 2/5
Accuracy: 3/5
Reload Rate: 3/5
Cost: $650
Description: This weapon has many cons. It's pretty pricey, the clip size and
max rounds suck, and it has no secondary function. But the one
pro this weapon does have blows everything else off the map. It
has raw power. You can literally take down someone in 2-3 shots
with this baby. That's why the clip size isn't big. Even though
the max round size is less than half of other pistols, I doubt
you'll be heading back to the buy zone to get more ammo.
9x19mm Sidearm
Clip Size: 20
Max Rounds: 120
Secondary: 3x Burst Fire
Firepower: 1/5
Fire Rate: 3/5
Accuracy: 3/5
Reload Rate: 4/5
Cost: $400
Description: The 9x19 is the cheapest pistol around for a reason. It sucks.
Unless you're absolutely crunching for money, don't get this
plastic turd. It takes a whole clip to take down an enemy, so
don't use in groups. Even then, the firepower is so low that the
aforementioned enemy can fire back while you're popping him in the
face, point-blank. The burst fire doesn't help do anything except
waste your ammo and cause you to reload every 10 seconds.
ES Five-Seven
Clip Size: 20
Max Rounds: 100
Secondary: None
Firepower: 1/5
Fire Rate: 2/5
Accuracy: 4/5
Reload Rate: 2/5
Cost: $750
Description: Although the firepower is listed as 1/5, I'd say it's more 3/5.
The good thing about this weapon is that it's very accurate. You
can use from afar if things start to get sticky up close, but
trust me, it doesn't have the kind of firepower that the Night
Hawk offers, and you'll probably be reloading every 2-3 enemies.
Still, this is nice if your opponent is stuck long range with an
SMG. If he stands still long enough, whip this puppy out and bing
him with it. Another con, though, it is the most expensive pistol.
228 Compact
Clip Size: 13
Max Rounds: 52
Secondary: None
Firepower: 3/5
Fire Rate: 2/5
Accuracy: 3/5
Reload rate: 3/5
Cost: $600
Description: This isn't a bad weapon all in all, but it certainly isn't the
best the game has to offer. First off, there's no secondary.
Second, even though it has a nice punch, you'll be reloading
before you know it. Added to that is the small max round size,
which may force you to go back to the buy zone to get more ammo.
This is best used in close range levels.
-D2- SMG's
K&M SMG
Clip Size: 30
Max Rounds: 120
Secondary: None
Firepower: 2/5
Fire Rate: 5/5
Accuracy: 4/5
Reload Rate: 3/5
Cost: $1500
Description: A medium-priced weapon, the K&M isn't a bad SMG. I'd place it in
the average field. It has an average punch and average clip size.
The only real thing you need to worry about is reloading, because
the rate of fire is pretty hefty, and before you know it you'll be
in the middle of a group of enemies with no bullets in the clip.
Schmidt Machine Pistol
Clip Size: 30
Max Rounds: 120
Secondary: None
Firepower: 1/5
Fire Rate: 3/5
Accuracy: 3/5
Reload Rate: 5/5
Cost: $1250
Description: For this to be the cheapest SMG, it sure doesn't seem like it. The
Schmidt will get the job done. The only drawback to it is that it
doesn't have the power I'd like, and it isn't very accurate. This
weapon is more suited to close range levels, mainly because of its
stats and the fact that it's permanently silenced. Still, nice
weapon.
ES C90
Clip Size: 50
Max Rounds: 100
Secondary: None
Firepower: 2/5
Fire Rate: 5/5
Accuracy: 3/5
Reload Rate: 2/5
Cost: $2350
Description: This is the most expensive SMG, but it proves its worth on the
battlefield. Nice firepower, good at pretty much any range, the
only drawback is the reload rate. By the time you change clips
you'll be dead. Also, the clip size may seem big, but because of
the enormous fire rate, it's actually just the right size. This is
a good weapon to use for laying down suppressive fire,
particularly around bomb sites. If only the max rounds were a bit
higher...
K&M UMP45
Clip Size: 25
Max Rounds: 100
Secondary: None
Firepower: 3/5
Fire Rate: 3/5
Accuracy: 4/5
Reload Rate: 2/5
Cost: $1700
Description: Nice weapon, a little expensive though. It definitely does what it
was made to do, but it has a little less kick, and the clip size
isn't what you'd expect. You'll shell out about 10-15 bullets for
each enemy, so reloading is to be expected. Otherwise, it is
extraordinarily accurate for an SMG.
-D3- Rifles
Clarion 5.56
Clip Size: 25
Max Rounds: 75
Secondary: 3x Burst Fire
Firepower: 4/5
Fire Rate: 5/5
Accuracy: 3/5
Reload Rate: 4/5
Cost: $2250
Description: The Clarion functions more as a beefed-up SMG than a rifle. The
only real difference between it and an SMG is that it's more
powerful and more costly. The rate of fire is enormous, and this
is tripled if you use the burst fire function. Couple this with
a ridiculously small clip size and you'll be reloading every time
you turn around. This is also the cheapest of the rifles.
Magnum Sniper Rifle
Clip Size: 10
Max Rounds: 30
Secondary: Zoom 2x
Firepower: 5/5
Fire Rate: 1/5
Accuracy: 5/5
Reload Rate: 3/5
Cost: $4750
Description: This weapon is the standard sniper rifle that everyone loves. It's
also the standard price that everyone hates. Very expensive, but
very powerful. 2 zoom levels ensure complete accuracy. Get up
close, though, and you're toast unless you can make a quick switch
to your secondary. This is best used in levels where you can hold
yourself up on a roof of something similar and pick off the
unsuspecting passerby.
Schmidt Scout
Clip Size: 10
Max Rounds: 90
Secondary: Zoom 2x
Firepower: 4/5
Fire Rate: 1/5
Accuracy: 4/5
Reload Rate: 5/5
Cost: $2750
Description: The Schmidt is like a miniature Magnum. Everything about it is
lowered except for reload rate. Firepower is cut in half, fire
rate remains the same though, and accuracy is brought down.
Fortunately, it's also half the cost, so if you're looking for a
cheaper alternative, then look no further. On the other hand, if
you have the money to spare, take the Magnum. It's a lot better.
Maverick M4A1 Carbine
Clip Size: 30
Max Rounds: 90
Secondary: Silencer
Firepower: 3/5
Fire Rate: 4/5
Accuracy: 3/5
Reload Rate: 3/5
Cost: $3100
Description: I love this weapon. First of all, for it to be so accurate and so
powerful, its reasonably priced. Second, if you put the silencer
on it, it sounds cool. Anyways, it is very powerful, and you can
take down enemies left and right with nearly no reload. This
weapon is the way to go.
Bullpup
Clip Size: 30
Max Rounds: 90
Secondary: Zoom
Firepower: 3/5
Fire Rate: 4/5
Accuracy: 3/5
Reload Rate: 2/5
Cost: $3500
Description: This is another favorite of mine, because it blends the Carbine
and traditional rifle together into a very nice gun. Although a
little on the expensive side, the Bullpup has a nice rate of fire,
and adequate firepower. It only has one zoom, which is perfect for
quick switching between close range and long range fighting. The
only real bad thing about it is that it isn't quite as accurate as
one would hope for-the kickback sucks.
Krieg 550 Commando
Clip Size: 30
Max Rounds: 90
Secondary: Zoom 2x
Firepower: 3/5
Fire Rate: 2/5
Accuracy: 3/5
Reload Rate: 3/5
Cost: $4200
Description: The Krieg 550 is basically a modified Magnum. It sacrifices a lot
of firepower for a faster firing rate. It's also cheaper. But
that's where the good stuff about this gun ends. It will take
about 6-10 shots to take down an enemy with the scope. Save your
money and get a Carbine or Magnum, because this gun just doesn't
quite fit the bill.
-D4- Heavy
Leone 12 Gauge Super
Clip Size: 8
Max Rounds: 32
Secondary: None
Firepower: 4/5
Fire Rate: 2/5
Accuracy: 3/5
Reload Rate: 2/5
Cost: $1700
Description: If the fact that it's pump action doesn't deter you from using
this gun, perhaps my following words of advice will. It sucks. If
you're ever caught using this against an SMG, you might as well
lay down and die. It takes about 3-4 shots to kill someone, point
blank, and you can get off about 2 before your brains are creamed
all over the ground. It is the cheapest of the heavy weapons.
Just, don't get this gun unless you're looking for a death wish.
ES M249 Para
Clip Size: 100
Max Rounds: 200
Secondary: None
Firepower: 3/5
Fire Rate: 3/5
Accuracy: 3/5
Reload Rate: 1/5
Cost: $5750
Description: Damn, this thing is expensive! It also doesn't have the greatest
firepower of them, but it can empty out the bullets, and with a
clip of that size, you can go to town. This is great if you ever
encounter a large group, just lay on the trigger and pray that you
live or at least take down their health enough to make a
difference. The kickback to this thing blows, so its not very
accurate when used at long range. Still, shoot first and ask
questions later. I think the major bad thing to this is that if
you die, there goes 5750 down the drain.
Ballistic Shield
Clip Size: 20
Max Rounds: 100
Secondary: Riot Mode
Firepower: 1/5
Fire Rate: 2/5
Accuracy: 4/5
Reload Rate: 2/5
Cost: $2200
Description: The Shield is basically a Five-Seven with this massive riot shield
tacked on. As with before, the Five-Seven is an alright gun, but
now you have a shield which helps deflect shots, especially those
coming from the left side. I think the Shield has the best
secondary function out there. When you activate riot mode, you
will automatically hold the shield in front of you. You can't fire
your weapon, but noone else will shoot at you. This is great to
use if your backed into a corner. Just make sure you don't hide
behind there forever in demolitions mode.
Leone YG1265 Auto Shotgun
Clip Size: 7
Max Rounds: 32
Secondary: None
Firepower: 4/5
Fire Rate: 2/5
Accuracy: 2/5
Reload Rate: 3/5
Cost: $3000
Description: This shotgun is a hell of a lot better than the 12 gauge. Although
it's also nearly twice the cost, it makes up for it. The main
difference is the fact that this one is automatic. This means that
you can lay waste to enemies until you run out of bullets, then it
takes quite a while to put 7 shells back in. Still, it has a lot
power to it. I recommend this weapon.

Max Rounds: 120
Secondary: None
Firepower: 1/5
Fire Rate: 3/5
Accuracy: 2/5
Reload Rate: 1/5
Cost: $1000
Description: This is definitely an oddity. You carry two guns, and the upside
to this is that you fire twice as fast. Pretty good. Unfortunately
it's pretty damn expensive for a secondary weapon, and it lacks
firepower. You'll also wind up reloading often, and it takes a
long time to reload both guns. You be the judge on this one.

Max Rounds: 100
Secondary: None
Firepower: 2/5
Fire Rate: 4/5
Accuracy: 1/5
Reload Rate: 3/5
Cost: $1400
Description: The Mac wouldn't be so bad, but it has absolutely no power. It
takes half a clip just to bring someone down. It also has no
secondary to it, and the accuracy is shot. At least it has a fast
rate of fire. It's good for mowing things down and laying
suppressive fire.

-E3- Rifles
Defender
Clip Size: 35
Max Rounds: 70
Secondary: None
Firepower: 3/5
Fire Rate: 4/5
Accuracy: 4/5
Reload Rate: 4/5
Cost: $2000
Description: This is actually a very good rifle for it to have no secondary
function. It's also relatively cheap, so purchasing it early in
the match proves helpful. Firepower is average, but you won't be
reloading too much. Even if you do, it's a quick process, which
allows for some up close action.
CV-47
Clip Size: 30
Max Rounds: 90
Secondary: None
Firepower: 3/5
Fire Rate: 4/5
Accuracy: 4/5
Reload Rate: 4/5
Cost: $2500
Description: The CV-47 is a lot like the Defender in many aspects. The only two
main differences is that this is a bit higher and it has more
firepower. I would definitely recommend this one if you can spare
the extra $500. It also has a bigger clip and more max rounds.
Krieg 552 Commando
Clip Size: 30
Max Rounds: 90
Secondary: Zoom
Firepower: 3/5
Fire Rate: 4/5
Accuracy: 3/5
Reload Rate: 3/5
Cost: $3500
Description: I find that this Krieg is more similar to the CT's Bullpup than to
it's own cousin, the 550. It has one zoom, which is great for up
close action, and it has a nice delivery. Good for mopping up
remnants of the opposing team. It is a little on the pricey side,
though, so you might have to purchase it a bit later in the match.
D3/AU-1 Semi-Automatic Sniper Rifle
Clip Size: 20
Max Rounds: 60
Secondary: Zoom 2x
Firepower: 4/5
Fire Rate: 2/5
Accuracy: 3/5
Reload Rate: 2/5
Cost: $5000
Description: This is a very good weapon. If you can set up shop in a corner,
and have somebody watching your back, or at a chokepoint, this
weapon does good. You can easily pick enemies off in three shots.
It's semi-auto, so you don't have to worry too much about multiple
enemies unless they too have long range weapons. Unfortunately,
you pay for what you get, and this is the most expensive rifle out
there.

Smoke Grenade: Creates a cloud of smoke that masks your team's position.
Flashbang Grenade: Emits a blinding white light.
High-Explosive Grenade: Regular explosive grenade.
Bomb-Defusing Kit: Only available to CT's in Demolitions mode. Cuts the time
needed to defuse a bomb by at least half. You should have
one of these around at all times.
K&H: Kevlar vest and Helmet. Adds body armor and head armor.
Kevlar vest: Adds body armor.
-F2- Special Note
First of all, it seems that the only grenade you can purchase twice is the
flashbang. Secondly, if you buy the Kevlar vest, then the vest and helmet, the
cost for the vest and helmet is only subtracted for the helmet. So basically,
buying the vest then the vest and helmet is the same as buying the vest and
helmet in the first place.

G- Level Statistics
This is the layout for the level description.
Name
Type: Demolitions/Hostage Rescue
Description:
Bomb Site A: Directions on how to get to Bomb Site A from CT base and terrorist
base.
Bomb Site B: Directions on how to get to Bomb Site B from CT base and terrorist
base.
Hostages: Directions on how to get to the hostages from CT base.
-G1- Airstrip
Type: Demoltions
Description: This isn't so much of an airstrip as it is a lot of warehouses.
Trust me, there are warehouses everywhere. A bridge lies in the
middle of the map, and you can go over it or under it. A small
sewer system extends from CT base/Bomb Site B to the bridge.
Bomb Site A: To get to Bomb Site A from CT base, you have to get to the bridge
by either taking the left path or the sewers. From there, the
quickest way is to go over the bridge and into the warehouse. Just
follow it until it's end, then go through the last small door, and
you're automatically at the A site.
To get to Bomb Site A from terrorist base, you have to hook a left
at the fork. Go into the warehouse and follow it to the end. The
open area with crates piled up is the A site.
Bomb Site B: Ironically enough, the CT base is positioned directly on Bomb Site
B. Understandly, it doesn't get much action.
To get to Bomb Site B from terrorist base, hook a right at the
fork. Keep going until you're under the bridge. From here the
wisest choice would be to take the small sewer system directly to
the B site. Not only is it quicker but it provides you with more
cover. Anyways the site is in front of the warehouse.
-G2- Aztec
Type: Demoltions
Description: Aztec basically consists of a lot of ruins. It's a giant temple
divided into two sections, upper and lower. The upper is probably
what you'll be traversing the most. A lot of it is open, so use
the crates around for cover. There's also an old rickety bridge
that goes over the lower part, which is a stream/sewer/small river
thing.
Bomb Site A: To get to Bomb Site A from CT base, go left at the start and up
those stairs. It's right there outside the room filled with
crates.
To get to Bomb Site A from terrorist base, go straight through the
first doorway, then follow that around to the doorway on the
right. Go through the crate-filled room and look behind those
stacked crates. A door there leads directly to A site.
Bomb Site B: To get to Bomb Site B from CT base, go right at the start, then
through the three doors. It's right there as you exit the last
door, next to some crates and stairs leading down to the lower
part.
To get to Bomb Site B from terrorist base, go straight through the
first doorway, then follow that around to the first door on the
left. It's across the way, but be careful because the CT's like to
head here first.
-G3- Chateau
Type: Demoltions
Description: There are two distinct portions of this map. The first is this old
run down mansion. The first floor has holes in the walls
everywhere, and the second floor is caked with holes, making it
easy to access the first floor anytime you want. There are a few
good attic windows overlooking Bomb Site A. The second portion is
outside. It includes a large sewer system thing, a small canyon,
and a cellar, which leads back to Bomb Site B.
Bomb Site A: To get to Bomb Site A from CT base, go right at the beginning.
You should come across a small, yellow A sign. Go up the stairs,
then drop through the big hole in the floor. From here go straight
into the room ahead. There should be two windows looking outside
onto the A site. Just shoot one out and hop through it.
To get to Bomb Site A from terrorist base, enter the sewers and
immediately hook a left. This will take you around the outside of
the house. A ramp leads right up to the A site, which is situated
in a garden type thing.
Bomb Site B: To get to Bomb Site B from CT base, go left at the beginning. Keep
going until you reach the last room. It should have the opening
with two planks over it, and a pillar with a B sign pointing left.
As it suggests, go through the door on the left. The B site is in
the courtyard.
To get to Bomb Site B from terrorist base, enter the sewers, and
keep going. Don't turn off anywhere. The sewers will take you to
the cellar. From there go up those stairs and the B site rests in
the courtyard just beyond the doorway.
-G4- Cobble
Type: Demoltions
Description: The Cobble is a huge castle, if you will. Although you can go
inside, most of the fighting will be done outside in the large
courtyards. When you do go inside, it's dark and usually short.
There is a small watch tower you can access by going up a ladder,
then up another ladder until you're at a window overlooking one of
the courtyards.
Bomb Site A: Bomb Site A is right next to CT base. Just go up those little
stairs at the beginning.
To get to Bomb Site A from terrorist base, go straight at the
beginning. At the top of the hill, expect some resistance, because
this site is a major battlefield. Head right to the door with the
the large A next to it. Follow that passage through, turn right,
and the A site is right up those stairs.
Bomb Site B: To get to Bomb Site B from CT base, go through the door on your
right at the beginning. It's hidden behind some crates. Follow
that room outside and the B site is across the way, around those
crates.
To get to Bomb Site B from terrorist base, turn right immediately
and go up the ramp. Go through the door and follow it, then head
left at the large B. Follow that passage through and down the
stairs to the B site.
-G5- Corruption
Type: Demoltions
Description: The entire level is pretty expansive and you can get lost easily.
It consists mainly of a two story house and the outlying
courtyard. There are plenty of passages, streets, and walkways to
traverse in this level, but there is also plenty of cover, so
don't worry too much about being a sitting duck.
Bomb Site A: Bomb Site A is directly in front of CT base, in that little
depression with the brown tile.
To get to Bomb Site A from terrorist base, go up the short stairs
and through the doorway on the left. Keep going out into the open
and head through the clearly marked doorway. When you reach the
room with three more doorways, take the one immediately to your
right. Head down those stairs and straight ahead is the A site.
Bomb Site B: To get to Bomb Site B from CT base, go up the stairs at the start
of the level. Continue on, then head through the right doorway,
and proceed down that short flight of stairs. Keep going straight
until you make it outside. The B site is sitting right there on
the brown tile.
To get to Bomb Site B from terrorist base, go down the ramp and
hook a left next to the door. Keep going, and hook another left at
the next door. Go through the next door and up the small steps and
you'll be at the B site.
-G6- Dust
Type: Demolitions
Description: This level is kind of a fort/village type thing. Most of the
playing field is outside, and the passages are somewhat narrow, so
confrontations are to be expected. There are a couple of places
inside, but they are dark and perfect hiding places. This can work
to your advantage or disadvantage.
Bomb Site A: To get to Bomb Site A from CT base, pass up the small stairs and
go on the main path until you hit the fork. From here turn right
and go through the door. A site is placed around the red barrels.
To get to Bomb Site A from terrorist base, go up the stairs and
hook a left. Keep going, then hook another left at the first
opening. Go left around the corner, and out the doorway. The A
site is right there around the red barrels.
Bomb Site B: Bomb Site B is directly in front of CT base, around those red
barrels.
To get to Bomb Site B from terrorist base, go up the stairs and
hook a left. Keep going, then hook another left at the first
opening. Go left around the corner, then turn right out of the
first doorway. This should take you to the door which leads to the
A site. From there take another left and follow that path up to
the B site. Take extreme caution: the B site is nestled right next
to the CT base, and if you head that way too early, you will meet
a LOT of resistance.
-G7- Dust2
Type: Demolitions
Description: The scenery and everything is just like Dust. There's a little
more inside to this level though, which means you have to keep a
watchful eye out for enemies that tend to hide and wait. This is
definitely a more enclosed level, with more crates scattered
about.
Bomb Site A: To get to Bomb Site A from CT base, head left(obviously) up the
small ramp. Hook a right at the fork and go up on the
terrace/balcony looking thing. The A site is right there.
To get to Bomb Site A from terrorist base, head right down the
ramp, then go left. Go through the open door, then head left. Keep
going straight up the ramp and the A site is right there.
Bomb Site B: To get to Bomb Site B from CT base, head right(obviously) and keep
going straight, through the door. The B site is immediately to
your right.
To get to Bomb Site B from terrorist base, head left, down the
ramp and into the dark room. Head left again and exit the room,
then continue forward. The B site is around those crates.
-G8- Fastline
Type: Demolitions
Description: Fastline basically consists of a subway, which only one car is
accessible, and a very run down subway station. The station rests
on the upper floors. Escalators and stairs will take you to those
floors. Knocked over vending machines provide some cover, but
otherwise, it's open and close range fighting. Also, the Bomb
Sites are not clearly marked, but for all intents and purposes the
one in the subway is A and the one by the escalators is B.
Bomb Site A: Bomb Site A is in the subway, directly adjacent to the CT base.
To get to Bomb Site A from terrorist base, follow the strategy
below to get to the B site. From there you can follow it through,
then hook a right at the fork and into the subway to get to the
A site quicker.
Bomb Site B: To get to Bomb Site B from CT base, go up the stairs on your side
of the train, then hook a left at the fork. Follow that passage
through to the B site.
To get to Bomb Site B from terrorist base, go right at the start.
Once you reach the big room, look in the lefthand corner for an
airduct. Shoot it and continue on. Go into the first duct on your
left, and follow it to the escalators, then go down them to the
B site.
-G9- Havana
Type: Hostage Rescue
Description: Havana consists of a small outside portion, which houses the
rescue zone, the main inside part, two courtyards which can easily
become battlefields(one contains a fountain, the other a gazebo),
and the upper floor, where the hostages are located. A lot of
hallways and small rooms provide for some close range action.
Hostages: Go through the left opening at the start. Keep going, sticking to the
wall, and not going in any rooms. You'll be outside again. Go past
the dumpster and up the stairs, then hook a left and keep going that
way. Once that passage ends, look to your left and you'll spot two
hostages. Gather them up then head into the next room and look left
again. Two more hostages. Gather them up then drop through the hole
in the floor and from there directly outside to the rescue zone.
-G10- Italy
Type: Hostage Rescue
Description: This level is one of my favorites. It has the perfect blend of an
outdoor village and indoor housing. Although the level itself
isn't large, it's still a nice combat zone. There's even a couple
of nice sniping positions.
Hostages: Take the right path at the start. Go through the doorway, cut left
and go through that doorway, then go right and up the tunnel type
thing. Once you come out of the tunnel, head for the opening under
the awning type thing. Two hostages reside on the lower floor. Go
upstairs to find two more hostages. Head back the way you came.
Beware, terrorists like to hold up at the rescue zone.
-G11- Miami
Type: Hostage Rescue
Description: A giant bank. That's basically the whole level. There are offices
and such scattered about, but there are also numerous vents around
which can be used for or against you. Overturned cabinets serve as
cover. The center of attention for this mission is the vault. Not
only does it look cool, but there are hostages inside. Two vents
lead to it as well.
Hostages: Enter the building and head left. Once inside the large room, go
behind the counter and look up for an air vent. Take it to an office.
Carefully enter the hallway and head right, to the other end. The
first door on the right side houses two hostages, and so does the
vault right next to it. After you've gathered them up, take them back
down to the other end of the hall, last door on the left, labeled
Manager. Go through it and out the front door.
-G12- Militia
Type: Hostage Rescue
Description: Militia is another favorite of mine. It consists of an outside,
rocky area, which provides no real cover. It's easy to get picked
off, so your best bet is to head inside the house or into the
sewers. The sewers are good because they're quicker, stealthier
ways to get to parts of the map. The house is a three-story cabin.
The roof is accessible, as is a small grate on the side of the
house, which can be used to get into the attic.
Hostages: For rescuing the hostages, this is a hard map to beat. Mainly because
it's so small, that the CT's will be all over that house, which means
that the terrorists will usually be crawling within the house, making
hostage extraction that much harder. If at all possible, head into
the maintenance shaft. Go down into the sewers, then immediately
climb up the next ladder. Head over to the large ladder going up the
house, and drop down. Go through the door, then turn right and keep
going. You may not see it at first, but there are stairs there. Now
turn right at the next fork and the hostages are there. Lead them out
the old fashioned way- through the front door.
-G13- Piranesi
Type: Demolitions
Description: According to the banners put up at the front of the structure it
is "Villa Piranesi!". It's actually a castle with a bunch of
courtyards and a bunch, I mean a bunch, or good sniping positions.
there are more balconies in this level than any other. Good for
the patient Magnum-purchaser, bad for the idiot who wanders off
into a courtyard.
Bomb Site A: To get to Bomb Site A from CT base, go straight forward all the
way until the end, then go right, through the doorway. The A site
is just to the right, around those crates.
To get to Bomb Site A from terrorist base, go straight and head
inside at the clearly marked A. Keep going and head left at the
other marked A. Once outside, head up to the other side. The A
site is sitting off to the left.
Bomb Site B: To get to Bomb Site B from CT base, Keep going forward until you
see the arches on your left. Go under those, then under the next
set. Just go up the stairs and there's the B site.
To get to Bomb Site B from terrorist base, go right at the start
towards the giant B. Keep going straight, ignoring the ramp area.
Go up the stairs and head to the left. Keep going up and the B
site rests there.
-G14- Prodigy
Type: Demolitions
Description: I really don't know how to describe this except as some weird
base of sorts. It has a garage area and several control room type
things. Anyways the level itself isn't too big. There's also an
air vent that's pretty expansive and is accessible by ladder.
Crates are numerous.
Bomb Site A: To get to Bomb Site A from CT base, go down the hallway at the
beginning. It should have a B sign pointing back the way you came.
From there, turn left and go up the stairs. Go into the last door
on the left, across the small catwalk and onto the next one. The
A site is down on the ground floor.
To get to Bomb Site A from terrorist base, follow the only route
provided you. Once you get out of the small tunnel thing, take the
left exit up the stairs and around the green crates. Go through
the door, down the stairs and into the room with the A marking on
it. Keep going across the first catwalk. The A site is down on
the ground floor, and can be accessed from the second catwalk.
Bomb Site B: Bomb Site B is in CT base, inside the room.
To get to Bomb Site B from terrorist base, go into the entrance
hidden behind those crates with the B above it. Continue down the
ramp and through the crates, then turn left at the next B. Turn
left again and head into the room where the B site is located.
-G15- Stadium
Type: Demolitions
Description: The Stadium isn't so much a Stadium as it is the lobby, resturant,
and maintenance areas of a stadium. There are multiple floors,
one for catwalks, the ground floor, and the maintenance levels.
A nice, large level to get lost in. Expect the most action around
the lobby area.
Bomb Site A: To get to Bomb Site A from CT base, go through the clearly marked
left doorway and up the stairs. Continue on that route and through
the double doors into the resturant. The A site is in the plaza
right outside the glass.
To get to Bomb Site A from terrorist base, head out to the hallway
and go right. Go past the vending machines and down to the
stairwell. Go up that and at the top head right. The A site is in
the plaza-type area right outside the resturant.
Bomb Site B: To get to Bomb Site B from CT base, go up the large staircase to
your right. Keep going that way until you hit the large open area.
The B site is around the Corndog Cabana, that thing sitting in the
center. Be careful, because terrorists will probably be swarming
through there soon.
To get to Bomb Site B from terrorist base, head out to the hallway
and go left. Continue along the path until you reach the Corndog
Cabana, the little thing in the center with the yellow sign. The B
site is there.
-G16- Tides
Type: Demolitions
Description: Tides is basically a large mansion with courtyards scattered here
and there. In fact, most of your fighting will be done outside.
Nothing real special about this level, it's pretty much like all
the other mansion scenario type levels in the game.
Bomb Site A: To get to Bomb Site A from CT base, go up the stairwell at the
start and through the frontmost doorway. Keep going that way until
you reach the open spaces. Jump through one of them(it's faster),
then go forward under the bridge. Turn left after exiting and go
up the grass knoll and get on the bridge. The A site is at the end
near the gate.
To get to Bomb Site A from terrorist base, go on the leftmost path
at the start. Keep going into the doorway. When you come outside
again, you should see the big A plastered on the side of the
bridge. Turn right and climb the grassy knoll, then get on the
bridge. The A site is at the end near the gate.
Bomb Site B: CT base rests directly on top of Bomb Site B.
To get to Bomb Site B from terrorist base, take the rightmost path
at the start. Keep on that path under the bridge and finally back
out again. The red X on the ground is the B site.
-G17- Truth
Type: Demolitions
Description: This is one of the most original levels throughout the game, and I
love it. It's basically a Japanese mansion. There are a few
courtyards and balconies to match. The mansion itself is three
stories and packed with crates. Still, I find that cover seems to
be a problem. In this close range setting, you should shoot first
and ask questions later.
Bomb Site A: To get to Bomb Site A from CT base, go in through the front door
and keep going until you reach the room with the carpet and the
plant. Turn to your right and you'll see a doorway right next to
the one you just came out of that is plainly marked A. Go down the
stairs, then up the other ones, and the A site is there next to
the overturned tables and stuff.
To get to Bomb Site A from terrorist base, go through the doorway
without the lanterns hanging from the ceiling. You'll come to a
hole whichs leads to a basement type thing. Follow that around
until you come to some stairs. Go up them and around the middle
thing. The A site is right there near the overturned tables.
Bomb Site B: CT base rests directly on top of Bomb Site B.
To get to Bomb Site B from terrorist base, go through the doorway
with the lanterns hanging from the ceiling. Go straight into the
clearly marked doorway and straight across the courtyard. This
will lead you to two doorways. Obviously, take the right one which
is marked B. Follow that around until you reach the front, which
is the B site. Be careful: The B site is on the CT base, so
getting there won't be easy.
-G18- Vostok
Type: Demolitions
Description: Vostok is an old snowy town. It reminds me of something from a
WWII game like RTCW or MoH. Anyways, most of your time will be
spent in the streets, though you can go into some of the
buildings. Most of them offer balconies and basements. I just like
the setting.
Bomb Site A: To get to Bomb Site A from CT base, go through the arch and head
left. Keep going straight, towards the big A, then go down the
stairs and into the big doors. The A site is on the other side of
the fountain near the truck.
To get to Bomb Site A from terrorist base, head to the right and
down that way, then up the stairs until you reach the big doors.
Enter them. The A site is on the other side of the fountain, near
the truck.
Bomb Site B: To get to Bomb Site B from CT base, go through the arch and head
left. Instead of going straight, though, take another left where
it is marked. Behind the small fence is a doorway. Enter up and
go up those stairs, then back down some stairs and outside. The
B site is on the front porch of the house nearest you.
To get to Bomb Site B from terrorist base, head into the doorway
on the left, back outside and up the stairs. Keep going straight
no matter what until you reach the arch. Forward is the CT base,
so head to the right instead. After that take a left where it is
marked. Behind the small fence is a doorway. Enter up and go up
those stairs, then back down some stairs and outside. The B site
is on the front porch of the house nearest you.
