Version 1.1 - Edited FAQ; minor formatting edits.
Version 1.0 - First upload!

#####################################
     Photo Channel Overview
#####################################

Welcome to the Photo Channel! Here, in this channel, you can have
fun with your photos and movies by viewing, playing with, and even
editing them! You can even send your pictures to Wii Friends
through the Wii Message Board. So, let's get started, shall we?

#####################################
             Menus
#####################################

So, at the start of the Photo Channel, you'll be given two main
selections which basically tell the Wii where to find your photos.

You can choose:
"DIGITAL CAMERA/CELL PHONE" or "VIEW WII MESSAGE BOARD PHOTOS".

For the 1st option, it should be noted that only SD CARDS are
compatible. Any other format will not be supported. For a full list of
compatible formats and more details on this, see page 30 of the System
Setup manual.

For the 2nd option, you can view any photos you have on the Message
Board that have either been sent to you from a Wii Friend, or, photos
that you, yourself, have sent there.

#####################################
           Viewing Files
#####################################

When your viewing files on an SD Card or from the Wii Message Board,
the following things will apply:

CONTROLS:
= A Button: Used to select a photo.
= B Button: Hold to scroll faster when viewing a list of photos. Hold
while viewing a photo to remove the bottom and top toolbars.
= Plus Button: Used to zoom in on photos or in a list of photos. Hold
      to zoom in faster.
= Minus Button: Used to zoom out on photos or in a list of photos.
      Hold to zoom out faster.
= 1 Button:
= 2 Button:
= D-Pad/UP: Used to scroll through the list of photos. Hold to
      increase speed.
= D-Pad/LEFT: NOT USED
= D-Pad/RIGHT: NOT USED
= D-Pad/DOWN: Used to scroll through the list of photos. Hold to
      increase speed.

Here are some other things you should know about while viewing files:
-       A question mark will appear if the file that the file is saved as
is unsupported.
-       This channel only has a capacity of displaying around 1,000 photos.
-       Press the Plus and Minus Buttons to enlarge and detract the size of
the list of files.
-       Hold the B Button to scroll through a large list of photos much
faster.
-       You can rotate your picture by pressing the middle button on the
top toolbar that will be seen when a picture is selected.
-       Zoom in and/or out by either highlighting it or pressing the
corresponding button on the Wii Remote.
-       You can Post pictures to your Wii Message Board to send to Wii
Friends by selecting Post on the bottom toolbar after selecting a
photo.
-       The transfer speed of your SD Card, the amount of maximum storage,
and the number and sizes of files you have on the card all affect
the speed at which the Wii reads them.

#####################################
  SD Cards / Recognizable Formats
#####################################

Not all formats will be recognized by the Wii. There are specific
formats that the Wii can recognize. For videos, it's a little more
complicated but for images and audio MP3's, it's less complicated.

The Wii only accepts SD Cards. Any other card, with the exception of
miniSD and microSD Cards and their adapters, will not be read by the
Wii console.

IMAGES:
GIF, and other files of that nature are not supported. You can only
view JPEG photos with up to 8192 X 8192 in size.

VIDEOS:
QuickTime .mov files are the supported video file format that the Wii
console can read. It has to be a motion JPEG video, though, so in some
cases, some .mov files may not work. For example, a video review from
IGN in an .mov format probably won't work.

Additionally, the audio of some video files may not be played during
the time you watch the movie.

Some other unlisted formats MAY work, though, so it's worth
experimenting. I know for a fact that WMV files won't work. Maybe AVI
files will work? Again, try it out.

AUDIO:
MIDI, WAV and other files of that nature aren't supported by the Wii
console. Only MP3 files are supported.

#####################################
     Feature: Mood Changes!
#####################################

You can change the MOOD of your photos by selecting this option.
There are 4 different moods to choose from:

BRIGHTEN: Does as the name suggests - brightens your photos.
BLACK AND WHITE: Makes your photo B&W/greyscale.
ZAP!: It's a very dramatic inversion of your photo.
HARD-BOILED: Essentially darkens your photos but not as you'd think.

The Brighten and Hard-Boiled moods have 8 degrees of levels that can be
selected.

With each mood you choose except Brighten, the music in the background
changes a bit to suit the mood. Experiment with them all.

CONTROLS:
= A Button: Confirm selections.

#####################################
        Feature: Doodles!
#####################################

Let's doodle! This feature allows you to draw and place stamps on your
photos and even your movies too!

CONTROLS:
= A Button: Confirm selections. Hold to draw. Press to place a stamp
or use another feature.
= B Button: Hold to scroll around.
= Plus Button: Press to zoom in. 3 levels of zooming in.
= Minus Button: Press to zoom out. 3 levels of zooming out.
= 1 Button: Press while cutting to change the cutting area from
circular to rectangular. Press after cutting to reverse the
    direction of the cut.
= 2 Button: NOT USED
= D-Pad/UP: NOT USED
= D-Pad/LEFT: NOT USED
= D-Pad/RIGHT: NOT USED
= D-Pad/DOWN: Hold while selecting the Eraser to undo the last change
you made to the photo.

Items:
-       Eyedropper: Extract a colour from a photo (and/to reproduce it).
-       Pen: Used to draw on the photo. Appears in 7 colours.
-       Scissors: Cut out and paste a piece of the photo.
-       Eraser: Erases your doodles by way of a cursor.
-       Stamp: 4 different stamps that can be applied to a photo. Some
minor variations will appear on some of them as you use them
repeatedly.
-       UNDO feature: Returns the photo to its original state.

Also, note that you can affect the size of the tools by brining the Wii
Remote closer - enlarges the tool - and farther away - shrinks the tool
- from your television.

#####################################
        Feature: Puzzles!
#####################################

A fun feature that splits your picture or movie into puzzle pieces. Put
it back together as fast as possible and aim to beat your best records
that can be found by choosing the bottom selection on the Fun menu,
entitled "View Records".

After you complete the first 6-piece puzzle, you'll be given the
opportunity to choose from 3 other piece numbers that being 12, 24, and
48. [See the Secrets section for further on this.]

CONTROLS:
= A Button: Hold to grab a piece. Release to drop/exchange it for
another.

#####################################
      Feature: Slide Shows
#####################################

This section discusses the 4th feature, that of Slide Shows.

OVERVIEW:
Slide Shows are neat in that they allow you to see all of your pictures
on either your SD Card or the Message Board. It also plays movies
during the slide show as well!

PAUSE MENU:
Press the A Button during the Slide Show to bring up the Pause Menu:
here you can resume the Slide Show, customize some settings or leave.

SLIDE-SHOW SETTINGS:
Here, you can customize some settings:

* Order: dictates the order that pictures/movies will appear in the
slide show. Can be set to DATE - where pictures will appear in the
order of the date they were taken - or RANDOM.

* Effects: dictates which special effect is used as the pictures
appear. Can be set to SIMPLE, DRAMATIC, or NOSTALGIC. Try them all!
Simple: Pictures will appear as they are with no special effects.
Dramatic: Pictures will have progressively dramatic zooms (in/out).
Nostalgic: Pictures will appear in B&W and emphasize a focal point.

* Music: dictates what music will play in the background during the
slideshow. 6 default tracks are available to you when you first enter
the Photo Channel: Calm, Fun, Bright, Nostalgic, Beautiful and Scenic.
You can also choose to have no music playing during your slideshow. If
you REALLY want to make your slideshow a little bit more interesting,
get some MP3 files from your computer and put them on your SD Card, and
then make your way over to this setting. You'll see your MP3 files at
the top of the list and you can choose them to be played during your
slideshow. If you use this secret feature, there will be an option
entitled "All MP3 files" that will circulate through all your MP3 files
during the slideshow, otherwise, once a song is done, it'll just repeat
(but that's not necessarily a bad thing :D).

If you need more information, click on the "Other music..." selection on
the bottom right-hand corner of the screen and it will elaborate on
this feature of MP3 Files:

"To listen to your own music during the slide show, simply copy an mp3
music file to your SD Card. See the Wii Operations Manual for details."

If you need help, the page in the Wii Operations Manual that this is
referring to is page 30. There is a page in the Channels Manual that
discusses this as well: page 20.

CONTROLS:
= A Button: Brings up the Pause Menu. Confirms menu selections.
= B Button: NOT USED
= Plus Button: Increase the volume of the music track.
= Minus Button: Decrease the volume of the music track.
= 1 Button: Rewind a movie. Press to move back in intervals of about 3
seconds. Hold to move back even further/faster.
= 2 Button: Fast-forward a movie. Press to move back in intervals of
about 3 seconds. Hold to move back even further/faster.
= D-Pad/UP: Used in the Pause Menu to scroll through the music list.
= D-Pad/LEFT: NOT USED
= D-Pad/RIGHT: NOT USED
= D-Pad/DOWN: Used in the Pause Menu to scroll through the music list.

OTHER NOTES:
= When playing MP3 files, the music's volume will decrease when
viewing a movie, even if there's no sound and you put it on the maximum
setting.

#####################################
      Photo Channel Secrets
#####################################

This section lists some of the secrets that you normally wouldn't
notice otherwise in this particular channel. See if you knew about
these:

* The cat that appears over time in the Fun menu offers tips but only
if you can catch it! He may run in direction or back and forth so be
quick about it! Grab him by pressing the A Button. If you're having
trouble, wait for him to settle down and grab him when he walks towards
the "Fun!" text and starts meowing. Or, if you're feeling quick, follow
behind him in the direction he's coming from as he'll run the other
way, allowing you to more easily grab him.

* There is a secret puzzle option (yes, it does exist)! Head into the
Puzzles section under the Fun menu and after completing the 6-piece
puzzle, you'll be granted allowance to pick a specific number of
pieces. At this point, HOLD the 1 Button down to reveal a 192-piece
option that will appear where the 48-piece option used to be! Wish you
all the best on that one... XD

* Further on the above secret, if you complete a 192-piece puzzle, go
to the "View Records" selection at the bottom of the piece-selection
menu and hold the 1 Button down here to reveal your record time.

* Press up or down on the Control Pad and watch as your cursor becomes
pixelated! Try it!

On the note of the cat's remarks, the below area will list all of the
tips the cat has for you (all in random order):

(1)     There is an easy way to move from a close-up of one photo to a
close-up of the next: just press left or right on the +Control
Pad.
(2)     When the + and - icons appear on-screen, pressing the = and -
Buttons on the Wii Remote is the same as highlighting those
icons and pressing the A Button.
(3)     Press the + or - Buttons during a slide shot to adjust the
volume. You have more volume options with MP3 files than you do
with the default music.
(4)     The scissors in Doodle can do more than just cut. Try pressing
the 1 Button while you cut or just after you've cut.
(5)     When you have a lot of photos on your SD Card, you can press up
and down on the +Control Pad to scroll through them.
(6)     In some areas, you can aim the pointer while holding the B
Button to scroll around the screen. What's that? "Where's the B
Button?" Hmm... I wonder...
(7)     If you do a mood change to a movie file, the sound changes, too.
(8)     If you hold down the 1 Button when you choose the number of
pieces in a puzzle, the screen will... And if you do it when you
view records, it will also...
(9)     If you hold some buttons down, you might be able to scroll
faster.
(10) There's a simple way to create composite photos. First, use the
scissors to cut a piece out of one photo. Then just move to the
photo you want to paste that piece onto!
(11) The 1 and 2 Buttons are quite useful when you're watching a
    movie.
(12) Try pressing down on the +Control Pad and selecting the eraser
while doodling. This will undo some of your changes.
(13) Have you tried selecting the Brighten and Hard-Boiled mood
changes multiple times in a row.
(14) You can set slide shows to your favourite music. It involves an
SD Card... And a computer... And MP3 music files. Sorry! You'll
have to ask someone in the know. But slide shows are much
cooler when you set them to your favourite songs.

It's possible I've discovered EVERY tip but it's also possible that
I missed one which would make 15. Either way, I'll take note of it
and add it in if I do find one I miss.

Q: What's in YOUR Wii Collection?
A: I currently own Monkey Ball, Rayman and Wii Sports. I've rented
quite a few games like: Barnyard, Super Paper Mario, Elebits,
SSX Blur, and Sonic and the Secret Rings. I just don't have the
