==========================[ Part 1: Introduction ]============================

About The FAQ maker: Yes, I'm basicly a Trauma Center fanatic. My girlfriend
got me obsessed with this game during one of my visits to her neighborhood, so
i went out and bought a DS for the sole purpose of playing Trauma Center, and
I was instantly hooked. Now that this sequel of sorts is out for the Wii, I
bought a Wii for the same reason, just for Trauma Center.

About the game: Well as you probably know, Trauma Center is a surgery simulator
created by Atlus. This takes place in the year 2018, so please dont expect
complete realism. However, the controls are shockingly pleasing and easy to
learn, and gameplay is simply stunning. Hard mode is exceptionally difficult
at times, and theres an easy mode if you have problems.

About this FAQ: Well, its my third. I cant expect everything to be perfect yet.
(You know, like ASCII Art and the like.) However, what I do expect is that for
other websites to ask for permission to use this guide. Current sites allowed
are as follows.

www.GameFAQs.com
www.MyCheats.com
www.Neoseeker.com
www.CheatCC.com
www.honestgamers.com
www.supercheats.com

This is based off my DS FAQ. Any site i gave permission to host this is allowed
to host this one as well.

---------------------------=== [ UPDATE HISTORY ] ===--------------------------

V 1.0 - As usual, this guide doesnt get release until its complete, so...
All missions up to X7 done for both Normal and Hard.

Possible upcoming updates: Easy mode.

-------------------------=== [ Part 2: Game Basics ] ===-----------------------

First off, your general text scrolling features!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A button: Scroll through current text. Gets annoying when your assistant talks
during an operation when you dont want her to.

- button: Skips all current text. Yay?

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now, notice that little orange pointer on the screen when you're pointing your
Wiimote at it? Thats the starting point for every tool you use when you choose
to use it.

Trauma Center: Second Opinion is divided into Six episodes, and the Z episode.
Each Episode generally consists of half storyline sections and half operation
sections. THIS FAQ will cover only operation sections. If you want story, I
might add it at a later update, but dont look forward to it.

1 - Your patients vitals. Numbers range from 00-99. 00 basicly means your
patient is about to die. 99 is the best your vitals can be.

2 - Time limit. This is usually 5 minutes. When you run out of time you fail
the current operation regardless of how far you are into it.

3 - Operation Score. This generally increases whenever you do something right.
COOLs get the most points, followed by GOOD, then BAD. OKs sometimes get points
but not that often, and give only around 5-10 points each.

4 - Tools. You use your nunchuk control stick to pick which tool you are
currently using.

5 - Your assistant and the annoying text bar. Remember to press A to go through
her text whenever TALK replaces your pointer. Sometimes helpful, sometimes not.

6 - Chain amount. This increases whenever you get OK, GOOD, or COOL repeatedly.
Generally required to get high ranks. Whenever you get a BAD or something
happens to the patient that isnt supposed to, this gets reset.

--------------------------------=== [ TOOLS ] ===------------------------------

And now for the fun part. Starting from the top going clockwise.

===============================================================================

----------------------------=== { ANTIBIOTIC GEL } ===-------------------------

Gel is basicly a cure-all in this game. Well not really all, but it helps
everything. To use gel, hold down A or B and apply over where you want.

Gel instantly heals very small lacerations, and small holes caused by burning
away small tumors and polyps. You also use it to apply synthetic membranes in
certain operations.

By far the most important use in gel is using it over the trace line for your
initial incision, and geling over said incision after its been sutured after
an operation. You must do this for good ranks.

-------------------------------=== { SYRINGE } ===-----------------------------

First of all, no, you do not jab things with this. Bad game player! BAD!

The Syringe is used to inject Stabilzer and various other serums into the
patient's body. To use, hold A or B over the vial of liquid you wish to inject
and move it onto the patients body and hold A or B to inject. Note that the
serums must be injected in a specific location.

Stabilzer raises your patients vitals by quite a bit. A full syringe generally
heals 12 vitals. You can inject around 4-5 loads before running out of Syringe
uses assuming you do so non-stop.

Of course there's various other serums, like anti-inflammitory. But I'll get to
those when the operation requiring them begins.

------------------------------=== { STITCHES } ===-----------------------------

Stitches are obviously used to suture cuts. To use, point at the start of a cut
then hold down A or B, and drag the pointer in a zig-zag pattern over the cut.

The zig-zag doesnt have to be perfect, but the more it is the better.

Stitches also have a few other uses in the game, but we'll get to those when
the time comes.

--------------------------------=== { DRAIN } ===------------------------------

Look at the name, then think of what this can possibly be used for? That's
right, removing fluids! (Mostly blood, but also cytoplasm from large tumors.)

To use this tool, hold A or B over the fluid you wish to drain until the OK
message appears.

Pretty easy to explain eh? Theres not much more to this tool.

----------------------------=== { SURGICAL LASER } ===-------------------------

Rules of using the laser: 1. Do not play Etch-a-sketch on your patient.

In a more serious tone, this tool is used to remove little tumors or polyps as
I like to call them. To use this tool, like most, hold A or B over the affected
area until you get an OK. Generally you'll only have 6-7 seconds of non-stop
laser power.

Other laser uses involve harming certain strains of GUILT.

-------------------------=== { ULTRASOUND/MAGNIFIER } ===----------------------

Another rather obvious tool. You use Ultrasound to locate objects under the
skin. They will generally appear as shadows, and you'll have to scalpel them
out.

To use, Press A or B, causing the Ultrasound to ping. Anything found will
appear as either a shadow, or a haze in the case of certain GUILT.

The Magnifier is used the same way, except it zooms in on a certain area. Gone
are the days of the DS where you had to draw a circle that didnt work 75% of
the time! Anyway yeah, onto the next tool.

------------------------------=== { SCALPEL } ===------------------------------

Rules of using the Scalpel: 1. Do not play Tic-Tac-Toe on your patient.

The Scalpel is generally one of the more used tools in your arsenal. Obviously
used to make cuts, you use it in your opening incision, and to excise foreign
bodies such as tumors and GUILT.

To use, hold A or B and move the Wiimote across the guideline that appears. If
there is no guideline, just hold it over what you need to excise.

-------------------------------=== { FORCEPS } ===-----------------------------

What surgery game could be complete without Forceps? You use this wonderful
tool to actually REMOVE the foreign bodies. Also, you use this to drag blood
vessels together, pinch skin together in the case of large gashes, and other
various other things.

One of the more uniquely used tools in the game, to use Forceps, you must
point at what you intend to use this on, and press both A AND B and hold them
down. In the case of removal, you will have to drag the object over to a tray
that appears just below your operation score.

----------------------------=== [ OTHER TOOLS ] ===----------------------------

Some tools arent selected via the control stick. They will appear above your
other tools in a tray, which you'll just select using A or B when pointing at
them.

-------------------------------=== { BANDAGE } ===-----------------------------

The end all of the operation, this is the tool used to finish every single
operation in the game.

To use, pick up the bandage with A, point at the beginning of the stitched
final cut, then hold A or B and move across the cut with the Wiimote, then
release A or B.

Once used, the bandage cannot change direction. Be aware of this.

------------------------=== { PENLIGHT/ CAMERA FLASH } ===----------------------

Yeah, this is used for one whole operation. It provides light in dark areas.

To use, select it from the tray with A, then press A or B when your pointer
is over the area you wish to light up. The light will stay there until you
select the penlight again.

Later in the operation, the penlight will die and you'll use a camera flash
instead. Just select it with A and the light source will be automatic in about
2 seconds. Try to memorize where everything is, because the light will die soon
afterwards.

----------------------------=== { DEFIBRILATOR } ===---------------------------

Remember the easy method UtK used for restarting a heart? Completely Abolished.

Now you'll use this tool to restart a person's heart. Plus it looks cool on
screen.

To use, push both your Wiimote and Nunchuck towards the screen until a guage
appears above the pads on screen. Press Z and B simulaneously once the guage
line reaches the darker parts of the guage, preferably the green.

It takes 2 shots of the Light Grey area to restart a heart, but only one green.

----------------------------=== { HEALING TOUCH } ===--------------------------

Yes, your loved Healing Touch is back. Praise be it that it STILL slows down
time...for Derek anyway. For Ms. Weaver, it will raise vitals significantly
for every operation procedure you complete with a GOOD, COOL, or OK.

To use this, Hold down Z and B, then draw a star on screen with the Wiimote.
Keep in mind that the Star must be perfect and have only five lines for it to
even count. Also, you must start on the lower left.

===============================================================================

And thats it for tools and game basics. Now...onto the actual operations!

What? You want more? Character information? Bah. Fine, I'll list them as they
come along, even though it doesnt really matter.

=============================== { 3: EPISODE 1 } ==============================

Episode notes: Remember, if you want Story, you arent going to get it. This
just covers basic operation procedures for Normal and Hard modes. I'll basicly
detail the operation through phases, with what to expect on each phase in each
difficulty. Its up to you to do the actual operation though. I cant hold your
Wiimote for you.

When I list the starting vitals, it will be for Hard mode. Normal might start
with more. Some may not be included in the first version, because I'm writing
this mostly out of memory. Some vitals may be wrong, but i'll fix that in the
next version.

----------------------------=== [ EPISODE 1-1 ] ===----------------------------

-------------------------=== [ STANDARD PROCEDURE ] ===------------------------

Patient Kevin Turk is in the hospital due to Lacerations and glass shards
piercing his arm.

Starting Vitals: 85

Maximum Vitals: 99

===============================================================================

Phase 1: Pre-incision.

First Playthrough: Two Lacerations

All other playthroughs: Two Lacerations. Two Glass Shards.

Hm, seems fairly normal to me. You'll be instructed by Nurse Fulton to select
the stitches, then heal the lacerations. Remember to zig-zag! Assuming you're
on Hard, there are also glass shards. Use the Forceps to drag them out. You
have to drag in the opposite direction of entry first.

Remember, the closer place them to the center of the dish, the better your
rank.

After removing the glass, use gel on the small cuts they leave behind. Neat
stuff, huh? Wish we had that for real.

Anyway, then you gel the trace line that appears, then cut it with the scalpel.

PHASE 1 COMPLETE

===============================================================================

Going for rank? Make sure you dont get a miss, especially in the next phase.

===============================================================================

Phase 2: Inner Arm shard removal and Operation end.

All Difficulties: 3 Glass Shards

If you're playing Hard, you should know how to do this. If normal, just read
the first Paragraph from Phase 1 for how to remove the shards.

After you remove the shards and heal the cuts they leave behind. you'll have
to suture that cut you made. Not very hard. After that, use gel over the
bleeding stitched up area. After Fulton is done screwing up your concentration,
select the bandages then roll it over the stitched up cut.

OPERATION COMPLETE.

===============================================================================

I shall now detail ranking for you.

Operation score: Obvious.
Time score: Quicker = Higher score. Doesnt mean much in this game though.
Vital score: Higher vitals at the end = Higher score.
Special Score: Various things. I wont go into detail here, theres a guide
that lists these already.

S-XS cutoff: 5400

----------------------------=== [ EPISODE 1-2 ] ===----------------------------

-------------------------=== [ LEARNING THE ROPES ] ===------------------------

Patient Noah Laurie is suffering from a Tumor in his stomach. I'd assume he
has problems eating?

Starting Vitals: 99

Maximum Vitals: 99

===============================================================================

No real phases here, just doing a standard walkthrough, since both difficulties
are the same.

I'll basicly say this at the start of every operation, maybe with a little joke
but, Gel and incise the line.

Stomachy! Looks cool doesnt it? Your patient's vitals immediately drop to 60.
This isnt good. Select your Syringe when it becomes available and inject a FULL
DOSE of stabilzer. Your vitals will become 70 and you can proceed.

When your Ultrasound becomes available, select it. Fulton tells you to use the
B button, but it doesnt matter if you use A or B. The tumor is near the bottom
of the stomach, near the curve on the lower right. If you arent close enough
it will disappear, so ultrasound where it appeared again.

Now, use your scalpel across the trace line. Oooh, gooey. Use the drain next
and hold it on the tumor till you get an OK, then scalpel the trace line again.
If you dont do that fast enough, more cytoplasm will appear, and you'll have
to drain again.

Anyway, use your forceps to move the tumor to the tray, then move the synthetic
membrane from the left tray using forceps on top of the hole in the stomach.
Gel over the hole, and you're done here.

Suture, gel, then bandage. (Again I'll say this at the end of each operation.)

OPERATION COMPLETE.

===============================================================================

S-XS cutoff: Unsure.

----------------------------=== [ EPISODE 1-3 ] ===----------------------------

----------------------------=== [ A FAREWELL ] ===-----------------------------

Patient Neil Spence is suffering from multiple tumors in his Pancreas. Also,
possible inflammation.

Starting Vitals: 99

Maximum Vitals: 99

===============================================================================

Again, no phases. Both difficulties are the same as far as I'm aware.

And you thought the last guy had health issues? Gel and Incise.

I had no idea the Pancreas looked like that. Anyway, those little red bumps are
inflammations. They make your vitals drop really fast if you leave them alone.

Select your syringe, and draw up the blue fluid. Point it over the two
inflammation areas and inject till you get OK. It shouldnt take more than a
quarter dose each.

Then, the fun part. Tumor removal! Erm... yeah, I'm not going to draw an ASCII
of the pancreas to show you. I'll just tell you where they are.

1 - Far left of the Pancreas. Ultrasound and scalpel, dont remove it yet.

2 - Moving right, ultrasound, you should get two shadows. Go further right
and you should find it. Scalpel it out, dont remove.

3 - Moving diagonal down to the left, you should find the third, scalpel it
out.

Now that you've found all three, Start removing them one at a time. For how to
remove tumors, look at Episode 1-2. For a less detailed way look below.

Drain -> Scalpel trace line -> Forceps tumor to tray -> Forceps membrane to
hole -> Gel membrane.

Once all three are removed, thats it. Suture, gel, bandage.

OPERATION COMPLETE.

===============================================================================

S-XS cutoff: 5400. I'm absolutely sure on this one.

----------------------------=== [ EPISODE 1-5 ] ===----------------------------

-------------------------=== [ SINGING THE BLUES ] ===-------------------------

Patient Elliot Cox actually has character art. Oops, I mean he has polyps in
his Trachea. Meaning hard breathing, and he cant sing anymore.

Starting Vitals: 99

Maximum Vitals: 99

===============================================================================

Angie is by far the most annoying Nurse ever. Gel and Incise.

Look, I know we have to take great care in this area! You dont have to state
the obvious!

Anyway, magnify the area with blood on it. (It takes the place of ultrasound
when you need it.)

The polyps are SO much bigger here compared to the DS. Anyway, drain the blood
and then start lasering polyps while applying gel to where they once were. To
save a few seconds, apply the gel first.

After bursting your fourth polyp, blood will form again. Dont worry, this is
supposed to happen. After this though, if it does, its your own fault for being
too slow. Drain the blood again and continue treating the polyps. After your
first area, good job, Unmagnify and raise vitals a bit.

Whats this, more polyps? Geez, what has this guy been smoking? Clear the polyps
the same way as before. You have 4 more of these "Phases" counting this one.

The third phase has way more polyps than the others, so use caution and dont
burn off too many at once. After that, its just a matter of Suture, gel, then
bandage!

OPERATION COMPLETE.

===============================================================================

S-XS cutoff: I BELIVE its 6300.

----------------------------=== [ EPISODE 1-6 ] ===----------------------------

---------------------------=== [ A REAL DOCTOR ] ===---------------------------

Patient Sean West (Name sound familiar?) is suffering from multiple tumors in
his Intestine, as well as messed up charts. This guy is loaded with problems.

Starting Vitals: 50

Maximum Vitals: 70

===============================================================================

Oh boy, a problem patient. Gel and Incise.

Well that isnt right. That's WAY more inflammation than the charts reported. Of
course, the rookie doctor that you are, you'll just wave it off and continue
operating since you've done this before.

(On the DS, people often posted that they didnt treat the Inflammations because
they couldnt see them. This time its so obvious you cant possibly miss them.)

===============================================================================

PHASE 1: Inflammation removal.

There are around Five large inflammations and 22 small inflammations. The Large
ones take half a dose of anti-inflammitory and the smalls take a quarter dose.

On Hard, these will reduce your vitals very fast. If you want a good rank, keep
your vitals above 25 at all times, preferably around 45.

All in all, it should take around Eight full doses to eliminate every
inflammation. Be careful you dont accidently inject into a non-inflammed area.

===============================================================================

Are your vitals at least 25? Get them above 45. Now.

===============================================================================

Phase 2: Tumor removal.

There are four tumors. All of them are generally around the center in a circle
pattern. You should know how to remove tumors by now. Refer to 1-3 for the less
detailed description of how to remove once you reveal a tumor.

After this, apparantly your vitals arent stabilizing. (Like they ever do. You
always do that yourself with stabilzer and gel.) Use ultrasound 10 times
anywhere. It doesnt matter because after you do, suture, gel, and bandage.

OPERATION COMPLETE.

===============================================================================

S-XS cutoff: Didnt record.

----------------------------=== [ EPISODE 1-8 ] ===----------------------------

---------------------------=== [ LIFE OR DEATH ] ===---------------------------

Patient Omar Flynn is suffering from chest wounds. What did you expect? He was
just in a car crash!

Starting Vitals: 10

Maximum Vitals: 30

===============================================================================

Gel and In...oh wait, we dont do that yet? Lol.

===============================================================================

PHASE 1: Pre-incision.

First Playthrough: Three Lacerations

Subsequent Playthroughs: Four Lacerations

Yeah it doesnt really matter, if you're relatively quick.

Anyway, to start, you must learn how to use the Difibrilator. (I cant spell
that if my life depended on it) Push the Wiimote and nunchuck towards the
TV and hold it there. Then, when the meter starts moving, press Z and B at
the same time once it reaches the green area. If you hit the green, you can
move on, but if you hit the light grey, you have to do it again until you
either hit the light grey again, the green, or miss 10 times and fail the
operation.

After starting this guy's heart, his vitals will increase to 22-24. Suture all
the lacerations you can see. It isnt really rocket science anymore, but on hard
his vitals might drop at a fairly quick pace. After this is done, finally you
can gel and incise!

PHASE 1 COMPLETE

===============================================================================

This next part was brought to you by Fan suggestions, which made any difficulty
on his mission disappear.

===============================================================================

PHASE 2: The Heart!

All Difficulties: Six glass shards. -> Defibrilator -> Giant shard -> Giant
laceration.

Okay, lets do this. Start removing the shards one at a time and place them into
the tray. Remember to remove them in the opposite direction they're pointing
first, or you'll miss. You dont have to heal the cuts until all the shards are
out, unlike Under the Knife, where you could only do two shards at a time.

Once you gel the little cuts...his heart stops. Again. Difibrilate like the
first phase. Remember you can only mess up around 10 times. Once you start his
heart again...

How the HELL did that shard get in there? Pull it out all the way, make EXTRA
sure you dont drop it back it, and place it on the tray. Suture the laceration
made by that thing.

Oh, you thought this was over, didnt you? NOPE. Not by a long shot.

A laceration the size of the entire heart opens up, and the vitals drop to 5.
This CANT be good for Derek. "CONCENTRATE..." A star appears on screen.

"Dont die on me!" The screen goes black and white (Almost, some color still)
and time slows down. This is the Healing Touch, albeit automatic activation.

Suture the cut as fast as you can. As soon as you do, vitals are restored to 30
and you can finish up with the usual suture, gel, bandage.

OPERATION COMPLETE!

===============================================================================

S-XS cutoff:

----------------------------=== [ EPISODE Z-1 ] ===----------------------------

---------------------------=== [ FROM OVERSEAS ] ===---------------------------

Patient Chambers is suffering from a fractured Ulna and Radius.

Starting Vitals:

Maximum Vitals:

===============================================================================

Oh boy, finally ACTUAL semi-realistic surgery! Meet Dr. Weaver. Gel and Incise.

This doesnt look good. There should be one bleeding wound. Drain all blood
pools then gel over the wound. Use the forceps to move the bone fragments over
to the tray. There's five fragments, make sure you get them all.

Then, use the forceps to pull the black part of the radius into alignment. Just
pull it downwards a little so that it doesnt overlap the other part of the
bone.

Time to place the fragments back in. This is done in the order you remove them
so i cant give accurate tips here.

To replace a bone, twist the Wiimote to rotate the bone and drop it into the
appropriate spot. Repeat for all five bone fragments.

Oh, theres still a part missing? Use the ultrasound to find it. It will be near
the lower right of the top white bone. Use the scalpel to dig it out, then
use forceps to place it with the others. Now that the bone is complete, gel all
over it. After 5 seconds, you'll zoom out. Suture, gel, bandage.

OPERATION COMPLETE.

===============================================================================

S-XS cutoff: Unknown.

=============================== { 4: EPISODE 2 } ==============================

Ready for harder operations? I thought so. These are generally all around
harder than episode 1, so be prepared for anything.

----------------------------=== [ EPISODE 2-1 ] ===----------------------------

--------------------------=== [ DORMANT ABILITY ] ===--------------------------

Patient Jesse Pratt has thrombi in his spleen. Lol spleen. *Is shot for trying
to make another spleen joke*

Starting Vitals: 99

Maximum Vitals: 99

===============================================================================

Once again, a two phase mission. Gel and Incise.

===============================================================================

PHASE 1: Thrombi Part 1

All Difficulties: Five Thrombi.

Well now we know what a spleen looks like. Use the Magnifier anywhere.

See those little dots moving around now? Those are thrombi. Your goal is to
prevent them from reaching the upper right and remove them.

How do you remove them you ask? First ultrasound so the dot becomes more opaque
then use your forceps on it to hold it in place. Select your scalpel and cut
the dot so it becomes a bleeding hole. Use the drain on the hole to suck up the
thrombi, then gel over the hole. Not so bad huh?

Not when all five are constantly moving. Try to excise the thrombi near the
upper right first. If any escape, you'll suffer around 10 points of vital
damage.

When all five are removed, Phase 1 is done.

===============================================================================

Whats that Angie, You're stating the obvious that the Thrombi are now going
berserk? Why thank you!

===============================================================================

PHASE 2: Thrombi Part 2, with more HT.

All Difficulties: Seven Thrombi.

Woah, these things are moving WAY faster now. As if that wasnt obvious from
Angie's little outburst. Get through her text quickly, ultrasound the upper
right like a madman, then forceps any thrombi you can reveal.

Healing Touch (HT) Activates again. Wheee, these are moving uber slow now.
The thrombi should be really easy to remove now. So just start with the ones
closest to the upper right and work your way backwards. Hopefully none will
have passed through and caused you any damage.

Remember: Ultrasound -> Forceps -> Scalpel -> Drain -> Gel.

Thats how you cure Thrombi (This mission is the only thrombi mission though XD)

Anyway once thats done, suture, gel, bandage.

What vitals? Theres no time limit either. Lets just get this over with.

===============================================================================

Time to learn the Healing Touch. First, make a bunch of cuts using your scalpel
so that Derek becomes desperate! Just Kidding.

You dont have access to your tools, not that you need them. First, hold down
the Z button on your Nunchuk, then hold down the B button on your Wiimote.
Point at the bottom left of the star, then trace the outline. Take your time,
you dont have to be fast.

Repeat this 4 more times and you're done. Easiest "Operation" Ever.

Patient Mario Kovac is suffering from Aneurisms in the large intestine. I had
no idea these even appeared there.

Starting Vitals: 70

Maximum Vitals: 80

===============================================================================

At least they fixed the spelling from the DS. Gel and Incise.

See the giant red blob? That is an Aneurism. Use the magnifier to get a closer
look.

To get rid of this ugly thing, use the syringe to inject it with Sedative, then
scalpel the trace line. Remove the Aneurism with forceps. Drain the blood that
appears, then use forceps to pull the blood vessels together. Suture them
and you've just removed an Aneurism.

Raise vitals if you desire, then magnify out.

Holy...another one. Treat it the same way as the first one.

..Two more? This guy has horrible issues. Treat them both. Try to complete
both around the same time, because when one finishes, the next two will appear,
so you should start fixing them the same way.

Here's the basic shortcut list for how to fix Aneurisms.

Syringe (Sedative) -> Scalpel trace-line. -> Forceps (Remove Aneurism mass.) ->
Drain blood -> Forceps vessels together -> Suture vessels.

Once you finish those two, wait a minute, and then...FOUR at once? Oh god. Did
I mention if any of these burst, you get massive vital loss? You remember your
good old friend Healing Touch right? Activate it now.

Inject sedative into all four, then scalpel all of their trace lines. Remove
them one at a time from here on out. With Healing Touch, this shouldnt be a
problem, but if you're slow to activate it, one might burst.

Suture, Gel, Bandage once finished.

Starting Vitals: 40

Maximum Vitals: 60

Time limit is only 3 minutes.

===============================================================================

First female patient. Open up her chest. No, not like that you pervert. Gel
and incise.

If she has no external wounds, how did these internal ones appear. Anyway,
the first time you attempt this mission, there will be the following.

First Playthrough - 3 Lacerations. 1 Gash.

Subsequent playthroughs have - 4 Lacerations. 2 Gashes.

Holy...those Gashes are HUGE. Its a wonder she's still alive. Anyway, fix
these first. Drain the blood, then use forceps to pinch the skin together.
Suture the now-normal cut and thats it for the Gash. Do it quickly, or it'll
reopen and likely cause your patient to instantly die.

Heal the other gash the same way, then deal with the lacerations. You should
know how to do these by now.

What? Thats it? Suture, gel, and bandage.

Starting Vitals: 45

Maximum Vitals: 99

===============================================================================

PHASE 1: The rebirth of cuts.

So...what is she on? Gel and Incise.

Ok so...yeah. This part is the exact same as the last operation...er wait...
another gash got added in. Just fix this like you did the last operation. Make
sure you raise vitals to a suitable amount before suturing the last laceration.

PHASE 1 COMPLETE

===============================================================================

Vitals at least 75? Good.

===============================================================================

PHASE 2: It swims the blood channel.

O_o A laceration just formed ON ITS OWN. This woman is either taking some
seriously dangerous drugs, or she has a parasite. I'll go with the second
choice. Fix the laceration, then use Ultrasound to find something swimming
around her organ? WTH?!? Scalpel it out. How cute, it looks like a Manta Ray,
except with more sharp fins.

This is Kyriaki, your first form of the deadly parasite virus, GUILT. It likes
to create lacerations from inside your internal organs.

How to kill it? After you scalpel it out (Do that quickly, they dont appear for
more than 2 seconds unless you get lucky), tap it with your laser. It will
quickly move out of the way, then tap it again. It will die. Neat, huh?

Of course, this operation wont be that easy. More lacerations form. There are
more of these things? You bet, kid! *Is shot for EBA reference*. Treat these
the same way you treated the first. Make sure you suture cuts as soon as one
forms, because they can cause quick vital loss if there are 5 on screen.

When those two are dead...

PHASE 2 COMPLETE.

===============================================================================

Make sure your vitals are around 70 for the final phase.

===============================================================================

PHASE 3: And then there was the big one.

Three lacerations will form an Asterisk on screen, while you take around 20
vital loss. Quickly suture these, but start with one of the diagonal ones,
or you might get a bad rank if you start from the middle.

Once you finish healing those, ultrasound for the final Kyriaki. This one is
about three times as large as the others. This is the MATURE Kyriaki. It isnt
very different. Scalpel it out, then laser it. Ok, maybe it is. It just went
back under the skin. You'll have to dig it out and laser it two more times to
kill it. Remember to heal the cuts you make trying to get it out.

After that, Suture, gel, bandage.

Starting Vitals: 99

Maximum Vitals: 99

===============================================================================

Alas, poor heart, I knew you well. Gel and Incise.

If this were the DS version, I would say to just pick the scalpel, because if
you geled the line, it would go away after what happens next, but it doesnt
matter now.

Anyway, once you select the scalpel, her heart will fail. YAY, more Defib.
action. Try and 1 shot these, her vitals while in heart failure drop pretty
fast.

Once you revive her to 24 vitals, gel and incise the next line. Pretty...open
heart. Drain the blood, then trace the first line with the scalpel, then
the second, then trace both lines combined.

After that, assuming her heart didnt fail again, take the valve out with
forceps, drain the blood again, then place the new valve. Her heart will likely
fail sometime in these steps, so Defib. her back to normal.

Once the new valve is in place, suture it in. Unlike the DS, her heart CAN
fail beyond this point, so suture up her heart incision. This is tough to get
a good rank on. DO NOT suture wide. Either suture it horizontally or suture it
narrowly like a normal cut along its whole length. I've heard both work.

After that, suture, gel, bandage.

PHASE 1: New Tumor Pt. 1

Well, this is weird, not only can you see the tumor without having to reveal it
with ultrasound, it has three little "legs" on it. Drain the tumor fluid first,
then cut the veins "legs" with the scalpel. During this time, mini-tumors will
pop up.  Wait till you actually remove the tumor (after all 3 veins are gone)
before you laser the mini-tumors. Get your vitals back up before lasering and
geling the last mini-tumor.

PHASE 1 COMPLETE

===============================================================================

Vitals nearly maxed out? Good, you'll need them.

PHASE 2: New Tumor(s) Pt. 2

Two more of these things appear out of nowhere. Knowing the Trauma Center
universe well, there's bound to be a catch to getting rid of these. And, well,
you're right. Drain the fluid on both and work on removing all three veins
from BOTH tumors. Do NOT remove these one at a time. If you do, they will
likely regenerate. Once both tumors turn black from their veins being removed,
use the forceps to quickly move both of them onto the tray. After that, just
laser the mini tumors and gel them while keeping vitals up.

PHASE 2 COMPLETE

===============================================================================

What, you thought that was the end? LOL

===============================================================================

PHASE 3: New Tumor(s) Pt. 3

So, four of these things appear. Theres no way you can deal with the massive
vital loss those mini-tumors will create now. Or is there? Weaver HT, ACTIVATE.

Start to drain the fluid on all four tumors. You'll notice that as you do,
you'll regain vitals. That is the Weaver HT power. No slowed time, but massive
vital regeneration. Cut all twelve veins, then remove all four tumors. After
that, just get rid of the mini-tumors again, and you're done here.

All other playthroughs: 5 Lacerations : 2 Gashes.

Nothing really new here, just more wounds to fix up. You should know how to
do both by now.

Non-detailed method for Gash fixing: Drain -> Forceps (Pull skin together) ->
Suture.

After your final laceration or gash is fixed, the first Kyriaki will appear.
Again, you should remember how to do these, but here is the non-detailed
method below.

Ultrasound -> Scalpel (It'll be light blue compared to the organ.) -> Laser.

It shouldnt take more than 20 seconds to eliminate the first one which means...

PHASE 1 COMPLETE!

===============================================================================

PHASE 2: Kyriaki wave 2 and 3.

What, no witty remarks from me? XD

Anyway, second wave has two more Kyriaki. Remember to suture the cuts before
they add up. Scalpel them out and laser whenever you get a chance.

When these two are gone, the Mature shows up with is triple laceration and 20
vital damage trademark. Suture the three ASAP, preferably as they're being made
and start to unearth the Mature Kyriaki. Remember, it takes three hits, and
after each hit it'll dive back under the organ.

After three hits you are officially done here. Suture, gel, bandage.

Patient Amy Chase is suffering from the new Deftera GUILT in her stomach
and lungs! NEWNESS!

Starting Vitals:

Maximum Vitals: 99

===============================================================================

Ready to cut up an 8 year old? Oh wait, we already did that XD. Gel and Incise.

===============================================================================

PHASE 1: First Deftera.

Upon entering her stomach area, there appears to be bright and dark bumps all
over. These are tumors. Laser them off immediately. I believe there are 4. No,
you dont need to gel over these afterwards.

After this, what appears to be the Winged Boots of Hermes pops out and starts
swimming around in curves. This is Deftera, they make those wonderful colored
tumors that make your vitals drop like a rock!

Anyway, to remove these, when the two colors combine (They'll start to swirl
around.) use the drain on them until you get OK. They'll turn darker to signify
that the drain is working. Each subsequent time, you'll have to hold the drain
for a slightly longer amount of time. Three successful drains and...

Well this isnt good...you need to quickly scalpel the trace line, or the
completely drained Deftera will create tons of tumors and will likely kill your
patient. If you have decent speed, you should be able to trace it before it
creates three tumors. After that, just use forceps to remove the Deftera like
a normal tumor then place the membrane on the hole where Deftera once was, and
gel it. Remember to laser the tumors the Deftera made, and you should be done!

Suture, gel, bandage

PHASE 1 COMPLETE.

===============================================================================

Oh wait, did i say done? One more area to go. XD

===============================================================================

PHASE 2: Deftera times two?!?

Gel and Incise the lung. This girl is going to have so many scars growing up.

The good: No tumors to start with.

The REALLY REALLY REALLY bad: TWO pairs of Deftera instead.

Now calm down. I know a lot of people say Deftera is hard. I will safely say
with confidence that Two Deftera is NOT hard. Here are the bad points of
two Deftera at once.

1. Like colors bumping into each other = 8 points vital loss + instant tumor.

2. Any color bumping into a combined pair = instant tumor

3. And of course, Any color makes tumors approximately every 7-8 seconds.
The Blue Deftera makes their Dark tumors around 1-2 seconds after the Red ones
make their tumors, so take this information and use it well.

So now you ask, how do i get rid of this thing? Well, now I will tell you, and
in my VERY wise ALL CAPS WORDS.

DRAIN ONE PAIR COMPLETELY BEFORE EVEN TOUCHING THE OTHER.

Why do this? For one thing, draining only one pair will prevent the first bad
point from even occuring since technicly after one drain, they wont be the
"same" colors anymore.

If your vitals are low, you might want to consider using your Healing Touch
just after you drain one pair completely.

Also, a nifty trick is to use the gel as a wall. It tends to work well, but
I've heard that it causes large vital drops. Its never happened to me though
so your mileage may vary.

Once you drain and completely excise one pair, this operation just became
cakewalk. One pair is nothing to be worried about. Just drain it, laser tumors,
and boost vitals whenever possible.

Easier than you thought, right? Suture, gel, bandage once you finish the final
Deftera.

-----------------------=== [ AN EXPLOSIVE PATIENT ] ===------------------------

Patient Time Bomb is getting ready to explode in your face. Suddenly you know
how to disarm a bomb! >_>

Starting....no wait, there arent any vitals...ITS A BOMB.

===============================================================================

I'm going to describe this operation in just one phase, so you actually listen
and dont do something stupid like actually set off the bomb. However, I just
want to say this "Scenario" first.

Derek: Dr. Myers, if you have so much experience with this type of bomb, do it
yourself!

Cybil: Well, Derek, my hands are better suited for other things *coughGUYS* so
you have to do it.

Derek: >_> *Stabs Cybil and runs away*

I've always wondered why he didnt do that. Anyway, Gel and In...oh we dont do
that here.

First off, you must remove the plate cover on the bomb. You may notice that
there are four screws? You must twist these with your scalpel in the correct
direction. If you DONT do it in the correct direction, you will get a miss.

You do know how to twist the Wiimote, right? Just flip it over on its side.

I believe 3 misses sets off the bomb. Here's a little ASCII of what to do.

  1->-------------<-2
  | 666             |
  |                 |
  |            5    |
  |                 |
<-3-----------------4->

The arrow next to the number tells you what direction to twist in. Oh, you
want to know what 5 and 6 signify right?

6 is obvious. Those are the "MISS" markers. Properly labeled 666 for the devil
that this mission is.

5 Is a nifty little tidbit granted you DONT follow my ASCII. It'll basicly
show you EXACTLY what i just made a diagram of up there, if you magnify around
that number. Cybil points this out granted you actually somehow miss twice.

Whew, now that the cover is off, Derek states the obvious that you obviously
cannot laser the panels off the core because they're ALL red. Onto the voltage
regulator!

Basicly, you have to mess around with plus using forceps to pull them out and
place them in a different slot. To pull a plug out, grab it with forceps, then
drag the Wiimote towards your body quickly, then hover it over a new hole and
push the Wiimote back towards the screen. I dont know how many times you can
mess up here, but you shouldnt. Now for more lovely ASCII showing you where
the plugs are supposed to go.

 ____________________
 |                  |
 |  1           o   |
 |                  |
 |  o           o   |
 |                  |
 |  o           2   |
 |                  |
 |  o           o   |
 |                  |
 --------------------

Yeah, bad ASCII, i know, but it does the job. Numbers = plugs. O's = empty.

Now onto part 3. Here you'll have to use your laser to burn off all of the
panels. Of course, there are quirks here.

1. Lasering a red panel = MISS.

2. Lasering a non-existant panel = MISS.

You're only allowed two misses here, so careful with that trigger finger of
yours. Generally its easier at the beginning and harder at the end when some
of the panels take around 10 seconds to even get into view. The red panels
shift around around every 2-3 seconds.

Anyway once all the panels are gone, you can finally shoot the core! Oh wait...
one more catch. You didnt think it would be THAT easy, did you? If you shoot
a single one of those rotating rings for even a millisecond, the bomb will
instantly explode. Well...at least the Medical Board wont be notified...LOL.

Ok, joking aside, you're best off aiming for the TOP of the core, as that is
where i find the rings LEAST likely to cross. If you're lucky, the bomb wont
take more than 15 seconds to be defused. Keep in mind that regardless, the
timer drops to 30 seconds for this final phase. Of course, you can always use
your Healing Touch to defuse MUCH faster, just dont look forward to a good rank
for doing so.

COUNTER-TERRORISTS WIN. Er...OPERATION COMPLETE!

===============================================================================

S-XS cutoff: Erm...If you reach the core in 1 minute 20 seconds you pretty much
get an XS. Just dont use HT.

----------------------------=== [ EPISODE 3-8 ] ===----------------------------

------------------------=== [ CADUCEUS ON A PLANE ] ===------------------------

Patient Chi McGinley is suffering from Edema in his lungs. I'll just describe
it as INFLAMMATION FLUID. Oh and you're on a plane.

Starting Vitals: 90

Maximum Vitals: 99

===============================================================================

Did anyone else catch the Operation title reference? Gel and Incise.

Well, his lung APPEARS to be normal. Oh wait, we're treating these like tumors.

Anyway, use ultrasound to find a little black shadow, then poke it with your
scalpel. Suddenly blue fluid fills the surface of the lung, which you'll be
ordered to quickly use the DRAIN on, then gel the hole left behind. Easy.

Oh wait, the catch. Turbulence. Occasionally the plane will start to shake,
in which case, unless you're draining fluid, quickly inject one dose of
stabilzer. (You'll want to, trust me. This patient's vitals drop like a rock
after revealing fluid) When the plane shakes violently, dont do ANYTHING.
If you do, you'll make a laceration...oh and like 15 points of vital damage
on top of that. Also, make sure no fluid is showing when the plane shakes, or
you'll get around 3 small inflammations. Obviously not a good thing, so use
anti-inflammitory on those. When the plane returns to normal, just repeat the
above processes.

All in all, I believe you have to find twelve of these fluid areas and drain
them before the operation is complete. Not difficult, but heres the ever-useful
non-detailed shortcut key.

Ultrasound -> Scalpel shadow -> Drain fluid -> Gel hole.

After healing problem areas twelve times, suture, gel, bandage.

---------------------------=== [ PANDORA'S BOX ] ===---------------------------

Patient Reuben is suffering from Triti *CoughTriforceCough* in his Pancreas.
Stupid sellouts to Zelda. >_>

Starting Vitals:

Maximum Vitals: 99

===============================================================================

This is the only African person in the game, but he doesnt look it when you
start the operation. XD. Gel and Incise.

Yup, this game sold out to Zelda alright. There are a bunch of dark green
triangles all over the place with thorns in them.

This is Triti. It petrifies organs! You remove it using forceps.

The director wants you to directly remove the Triangular membrane, but Angie
once again points out the obvious that the thorns are holding it in place. So,
remove the three thorns on the edges of a triangle, and remove it. (This is
obviously wrong, as Triti cant be THAT easy, but i'm letting you do this for
your own good and for future reference)

So, you've obviously noticed what you did wrong, right? Triti just multiplied
all over the place. Now, I shall explain the little quirks of this operation.

1. -----|
  \   /
   \ /
    |

See the Adjacent thorns on this Triti piece? If you remove another piece while
leaving this piece with adjacent thorns, Triti will multiply to the lower right
(on this example) if there is an open space there.

2. -----|   |-----|-----|
  \   /     \   / \   /
   \ /       \ /   \ /
    -         |-----|

On the above example, you will notice how the single piece isnt attached in any
way to the three pieces to the right of it? If it regrows a thorn (like it did
in the example) before you can remove it, it will regenerate on every possible
side if there is an open space.

3.

  |-----|-----|-----        mmmmm
   \   / \   / \   /        mmmmm
    \ /   \ /   \ /
     |-----|-----|

Example 3 shows what MIGHT happen during an operation when you pull a thorn
out, it has a chance to turn into mist. Mist is VERY bad, so you should use
your DRAIN on it IMMEDIATELY. If it reaches the point indicated on my diagram..

  |-----|-----|-----         -----|
   \   / \   / \   /         \   /
    \ /   \ /   \ /           \ /
     |-----|-----|             -

Yeah...see example 2 for why this shouldnt happen.

If you cant understand how Triti works after this, the obviously simple way is
Healing Touch. Of course, going for rank, you cant use this. But HT should last
you the whole operation.

During the operation, one of the Triangles will turn a light green-blue-ish
color. This piece does extra vital damage. Every 9 seconds or so, this is what
will happen.

Without special piece. Vital damage = Possible triangle thorns / 2.

With special piece, Vital damage = Possible triangle thorns.

Thorns will regenerate roughly every 10 seconds. You need to be quick for this,
but otherwise once you get the pattern down, Triti is a gimme.

After completely removing Triti, suture, gel, bandage.

OPERATION COMPLETE!

PHASE 1: Darkness

Opera...OMG I'M BLIND. No, its just pitch black, so you'll need light. Press A
over the penlight tray, then move it over to the right so you can see multiple
lacerations, and press A again to have your lovely British assistant hold it in
place.

Basicly, heres what you have to deal with on the outside.

3 Normal Lacerations. Suture these. Not Rocket Science.

1 Gash. Drain -> Forceps -> Suture. Also not Rocket Science.

1 Glass Shard. Been a while since we've seen these. Drag them out with forceps.
Remember you have to pull in the opposite direction of entry first. Then gel
the small cut to finish this.

After that, Gel and Incise.

PHASE 1 COMPLETE.

===============================================================================

I suggest you activate your HT around now.

===============================================================================

PHASE 2: Inside the patient.

Inside the abdomen, you'll face the same problems as outside. 3 lacerations, 1
gash, and 1 glass shard. I'm not going to tell you how to deal with them again
so i'll just skip to the second part of this phase.

The second part is largely the same except you have four lacerations instead.

Oh wait, your penlight just died. Sucks, doesnt it? Now you have to use a
camera flash instead. Just click the camera icon to temporarily fill the whole
screen with light. It'll only last around 5 seconds, but it should be enough
time to at least suture all the small lacerations, and maybe the gash. If your
memory is good, just pull out the shard in the darkness and gel over where it
was.

Well, that wasnt hard was it...and NOW the lights come on. How ironic.

Random Patients are suffering from Immature Tetarti. Tetarti looks really cool.

Starting Vitals: 90

Maximum Vitals: 99

===============================================================================

Ready? Gel and Incise. You're going to have to do these at LEAST 3 times for
the main story, I'm only going to cover the last one you need though.

This reminds me of a Kobold from Wild Arms 3. That thing is Tetarti, and it
creates poison from inside the body. I'm trusting you listened to angie and
will actually use the Serum to attempt to stop it? Be careful, it moves fairly
fast, so you might miss a bit.

After the first injection, it'll dive back under the skin. Use Ultrasound to
locate it (If you're having problems, wait a few seconds and a poison cloud
will give away its location) then scalpel it back out. Repeat with the Serum
two more times.

Assuming this is one of the first two serums you need or already have, you can
just drag the now immobile Tetarti to the tray with forceps, then scalpel it,
then drain its fluids. Done.

Oh wait, this is the last one, right? Tetarti will now go berserk and create
tons of poison clouds. Follow it by rubbing gel along its path, to prevent
massive vital loss. After it stops, just deal with it as stated in the above
paragraph.

After that, Suture, gel, bandage.

Doctor...er...Patient Greg Kasal is suffering from MATURE Tetarti. If you
thought the immature were bad, you havent seen anything yet.

Starting Vitals: 75

Maximum Vitals: 80

===============================================================================

Time to save your former mentor. Gel and Incise.

See those colored bumps? Those are called Diverticula. You basicly treat them
like a mix of Aneurisms and Tumors, they have some parts of both. First, inject
the correct color serum into the corresponding color of Diverticula. Then,
trace the line with the scalpel. I would stop at this point and repeat those
two steps for the other Diverticula. After that, forceps the bump out, then
place the membrane over the hole and gel it.

Of course, no part of my guide that has long steps like that isnt without the
handy non-detailed shortcut list.

Syringe (MATCH SERUM TO ITS MATCHING COLOR DIVERTICULA) -> Scalpel trace line
-> Forceps (Remove dead Diverticula to tray) -> Forceps Membrane to hole -> Gel

And thats pretty much it. No wait...now you have to fight the actual Tetarti!

Three Tetarti appear, each one with the color Purple, Yellow, and Green. That
sounds familiar...weren't the Diverticula the same color? Basicly, like the
first step in removing those poison sacs, you have to inject the colored serum
into the same color of Tetarti. Of course, this isnt as easy as it sounds.

Why? The Tetarti are constantly moving, and they like to make hairpin turns
when you least expect it. And what happens when you get messed up concentration
like that? To quote "Lazykenny" from the forums...

"MISS.MISS.MISS.MISS.MISS.MISS.MISS.MISS.MISS.MISS.MISS. *patient dies*

On top of that, they lose their color after a second so you have to memorize
which Tetarti is which, which wont be that hard because they also give out the
same color poison gas. Of course, the gas complicates matters by making the
Tetarti a little hard to see.

And then if you inject the wrong color, you have another Diverticula to remove.

If you have to, use Healing Touch. It should get you through two rounds of
Tetarti. And hopefully enough to boost your vitals to max. They take five
rounds to kill. Remember, You have to inject ALL THREE for them to take damage.
And you have to do it quickly, or they'll go back under the skin.

After the Tetarti die, its just a simple matter of...Suture, gel, bandage.

Patient Richard Anderson is suffering from the new Pempti Strain. No, it isnt
that pink liquid you get for upset stomachs. This is in the lungs.

Starting Vitals: 90

Maximum Vitals: 99

===============================================================================

MOOBS...er...Gel and Incise.

Your lovely assistant Victor (Who has the only decent voice acting in the game)
will now instruct you as to different possible treatment methods on how to
remove that GIANT gelatonous mass known as Pempti. I'll just make a neat little
list for his orders.

1. Scalpel. Pretty easy, just hold the scalpel down, or run it over like a
madman, i dont care. When you get OK...

2. Laser. Hold it down in one place. When you get OK...

3. Gel. Rub this all over the thing. Then, when you get OK, Victor says nothing
will currently work and will now start to subject Pempti to test medicine.

4. Blue Medicine injection. You must inject a full dose of this into that large
hazy circle. It'll disappear every 4-5 seconds or so, so be quick.

5. Orange Medicine. Yeah, same thing as the Blue.

6. Pink Medicine. Um...yeah. Inject into hazy circle again...Okay, loads of
good that did. Now his vitals are dropping faster than a rock.

7. White Medicine. Let his vitals drop below 70 before injecting this or you
wont get the next order.

8. Raise Vitals. Inject stabilzer until vitals are at 70. DO NOT INJECT INTO
THE PEMPTI MASS.

9. Inject Blue, then Pink medicine. This is a bit tricky, as you have only
4-5 seconds to do this. I suggest injecting only a half dose of blue, wait
for the circle to reappear, then quickly inject the other half, then the
pink medicine. If it disappears while injecting the second medicine, you'll
have to start over.

10. Inject Orange, then White medicine. Same as part 9. Shouldn't have to
repeat myself.

11. Excise sample. Pretty easy, just scalpel over the trace line, then use
forceps to drag the sample to the tray.

After that, Suture, gel, bandage.

MORE MOOBS...Gel and Incise.

I swear that Pempti is laughing at us right now. Inject the Nanomachine into
the hazy circle the first chance you get.

Excellent, it appears to be working. Inject it again.

Oh wait...Pempti is making mini-tumors. (I'll just call them polyps). Laser the
polyps and gel them, then inject the Nanomachine once more. Remove the next set
of polyps quickly.

Oooh, so that rotating thing is the core? Use your laser to make it die.

Inject stabilzer while you can, then the core will regenerate and the blue
Pempti mass will wash over the lung again. Basicly repeat everything above.

Inject -> Inject again -> Laser/Gel polyps -> Inject 3rd time -> Laser/Gel
polyps.

After you inject the 3rd time...again...the Core will once again show up for
damaging. After you kill it again, quickly scalpel around it and remove the
core with forceps.

Yay you killed...no wait...crap. The core regenerated again, and mean old
Sidney forces you to stop the operation. Suture, gel, bandage.

-------------------------=== [ PROLONGED STRUGGLE ] ===------------------------

Patient Richard Anderson is STILL suffering from Pempti. Why isnt he dead yet?

Starting Vitals: 75

Maximum Vitals: 85

===============================================================================

Lets get rid of this thing once and for all. Gel and Incise.

Lets start by injecting the nanomachine into the hazy circle. You remember how
to do THAT much, right? Pempti will shrink, then inject it again. Cool, now it
only takes two doses and no tumors form! :D

Now laser the core with your new and improved SUPER LASER. It has unlimited
time to be used. Too bad you only get it for Pempti operations.

After the core dies a horrible lasery death, Pempti should go away...but its
not so that means...yes. The core regenerated...AGAIN. And this time its
bringing friends! Time for Pempti attack descriptions.

1. Pink laceration cores. These slowly move out from the center of the main
core and stop near the edge of the Pempti, where, after another second, will
jet out and make a VERY large laceration. Laser these to death ASAP.

2. Blue Polyp cores. Pempti sends five of these out in a small curving arc
to the edge of the blue Pempti mass, where, after 3-4 seconds, the cores will
force the blue mass to watch over and create LOTS of polyps over whichever
cores are still alive. This is a MUST KILL. You can usually hit 2 at a time if
your laser is centered between both. If you dont kill all 5 before Pempti's
next attack, the Pempti will regenerate every dead core, on top of starting
another attack. Also, if the blue mass washes over any polyps that havent been
lasered off yet, the mass will burst them and you'll take around 1 damage per
bursted polyp, on top of losing your current chain.

3. Blue rotation cores. These start out from the center of the main core, and
slowly rotate around the main core in a circle. While they are rotating, the
patient will suffer vital damage, and it isnt small either. The damage will
increase geometricly while the cores are still around.

Aka. Every 2 seconds, the patient will take 1 damage, then 3, then 6, then
10. You get the idea from that pattern.

Of course, if you center the laser on the center of the Pempti core, you can
kill the rotating cores before they even cause damage.

Angie once again states the obvious that if the Pempti is acting THIS desperate
to kill the patient, the laser is working. Every once in a while, you'll get
the chance to damage the main core, while it is less transparent. The best
chances to do this are when it makes the Pink and Rotating cores. As far as I
know, unlike Under the Knife, Desperate mode isnt on here, so nothing changes
as you damage the Pempti other than it'll take longer to show itself after each
hit.

6-7 hits later, and Pempti bites the dust. Fix any internal wounds remaining,
then suture, gel, bandage.

OPERATION COMPLETE!

===============================================================================

S-XS cutoff: 6500 points. Let a few pink cores make lacerations to get 6500.

----------------------------=== [ EPISODE Z-4 ] ===----------------------------

-----------------------------=== [ TRANSPLANT ] ===----------------------------

Patient is suffering from Kidney failure, so you will have to replace it. Also,
those weird tumors from Z-2 are back.

Starting Vitals: 50

Maximum Vitals: 60

===============================================================================

If you are on Hard, activate HT. NOW. Gel and Incise.

===============================================================================

PHASE 1: Veined Tumors Redux.

Two veined tumors. Keep in mind that these will make little tumors a LOT faster
than Z-2, so you'll need to be quick. Drain the fluid on both, then scalpel off
all six veins. Then, move both of the tumor remains to the tray with forceps.

Non-Detailed Shortcut for the above Paragraph if you dont like reading text.

Drain -> Scalpel (The Red veins in a triangle) -> Forceps tumor to tray

Hopefully you have enough of your HT left to remove all of the mini-tumors as
well. That should pretty much do it for this phase.

PHASE 1 COMPLETE

===============================================================================

Now for the fun part...KIDNEY TRANSPLANT!

===============================================================================

PHASE 2: Kidney transplant

Use the forceps to move the Kidney to the area left of the blood vessels, and
just drop it in. Now for something remotely challenging.

Use the Vaso-constrictor (The fluid left of the stabilzer in the syringe menu)
on the blue vein. When it shrinks down, a trace line will appear. Scalpel it.

Ouch...your vitals probably just got hit for around 20 damage. Quickly drain
the blood, then use forceps to pull the BLUE vessel of the kidney to the
bleeding area of the vein. This can be tricky if its your first time. If you
are too slow, the Vasoconstrictor might wear off.

Once the vessel is attached, suture it in place. I just use vertical stitching.

Next part, the red vessel. Do this the same way as the blue. Raise vitals up
to at least 40 after finishing that up.

Now to attach the Kidney to the bladder (at least i THINK thats the bladder, I
never really paid much attention in science class despite my good grades). Same
thing, except no Vasoconstrictor required. I think you have to stitch this up
horizontally, but i have issues with this last one.

Anyway, after that, suture, gel, bandage.

New super special TIME LIMIT: 10 minutes.

===============================================================================

Being the untimely lazy guy that I am, you should know full well how to handle
Kyriaki by now. Here's the helpful shortcut again for both Infant and Mature.

Infant: Ultrasound -> Scalpel -> Laser twice.

Mature: Ultrasound -> Scalpel -> Laser -> Repeat 3 more times. (They now take
four hits to kill).

I'll state in PHASES how much stuff you have to deal with per patient. You only
have to get to the third in 10 minutes to pass, but given how EASY Kyriaki are,
that shouldnt even be an issue.

By the way, I BELIEVE the first time you pass this, there arent any gashes on
the first two patients. I dont remember though, and this is going by memory.

3 Diverticula. You should know how to remove these. Shortcut below.

Syringe. (Inject matching color serum) -> Scalpel trace line -> Forceps lump to

Remember to not actually move the Diverticula lump to the tray until you've
excised all three.

And then the Tetarti appear. The only real differences is that they move faster
and cause more Vital damage. Just treat them the same was as in "Stepping Up".
Remember they cant be harmed unless all three are injected in a certain
timeframe.

After the Tetarti are injected six times, they will finally die.

-----------------------------=== [ INFECTION ] ===-----------------------------

Anethesiologist Cybil Myers is infected with the new Paraskevi strain of GUILT.

Remind me how Victor knows this even though there hasnt been a case of it yet?

Starting Vitals: 95

Maximum Vitals: 99

===============================================================================

Poor Cybil! D: *cries* Gel and Incise.

Oh boy, two whole lacerations...so threatening. Suture them and inject some
Stabilzer.

And THEN the Paraskevi appears. Oh joy, a worm...threatening. This thing moves
across and burrows into organs to travel. Once it burrows into the heart, the
patient instantly dies. Since the way it is now is WAY too big to extract...

Here is the basic jist of how to deal with Paraskevi.

First, you're going to have to stun it. To do so, Zap its tail with the laser.
Then, cut across its center with the scalpel. Doing so will cut it into two
halves. Each half will create a laceration in its wake, so suture. They'll do
around 12 vital damage each time you cut the Paraskevi.

Basicly this is the order you'll want to cut Paraskevi in.

Whole -> 2 Halves -> 1 Half, 2 Quarters -> 1 Half, 1 Quarter, 2 Eighths ->
1 Half, 1 Quarter, 4 Sixteenths.

At the Sixteenths stage, you can remove them after stunning using forceps to
place them in the tray. You can basicly figure out where to go from the above
ordering.

Oh wait, remember that I said they burrow? When their tail starts to shake, the
Paraskevi will burrow into the organ after the second shake. Stun it ASAP. If
you dont, it will move on to the next area.

Area 1 - Intestines.
Area 2 - Stomach
Area 3 - Liver
Area 4 - Heart

Needless to say as I've mentioned already, if you let it reach area 4 and let
it burrow there, your patient will instantly die, regardless of how many worms
you've extracted already.

If you get caught up with too many worm segments for some reason, or too many
lacerations and vital loss, feel free to use Healing Touch.

After every single Paraskevi segment is removed, suture, gel, bandage.

Starting Vitals: 99

Maximum Vitals: 99

===============================================================================

So, now you have to help your enemy eh? Gel and Incise.

First playthrough has 4 lacerations, the rest have five. Neither should be
difficult, just suture them all.

After the fifth, wait a second and...OH. MY. GOD. A laceration opens up and a
TON of purple baby spiders come out. This is IMMATURE Savato. They dont really
do much, just laser them till they die, then suture the laceration.

If you wish for a good rank, HT now.

Soon, the second wave of Immature Savato comes out, if you dont have HT on,
they'll combine to form a BLUE Immature Savato. These will not only halve
your current vitals, but they'll reduce your Maximum vitals by 25 per Blue
Savato. (Maximum of 3 Blue Savato, lowest Max vitals are locked at 36) You can
deal with the Blue's the same way as the purples, just be quick, and they take
around a second longer to kill.

Keep the laser on for 4 or 5 more waves, and you'll finish this operation after
you finish suturing all of the lacerations those infant Savato made.

Suture, gel, bandage.

OPERATION COMPLETE!

S-XS cutoff: 6500. Unsure, but thats what i think.

----------------------------=== [ EPISODE 5-9 ] ===----------------------------

--------------------------=== [ DEATH AWAITS ALL ] ===-------------------------

Professor Kenneth Blackwell is suffering from MATURE Savato, although the game
screen wont tell you so.

Starting Vitals: 99

Maximum Vitals: 99

Time limit of 10 minutes. Trust me, you'll need them.

OPERATION NOTE: YOU CANNOT USE THE HEALING TOUCH UNTIL I SAY SO IN PHASE 3.
DO NOT DO SO BEFORE THEN OR YOU CANNOT PASS THIS MISSION.

===============================================================================

Blackwell: Angie...I AM YOUR FATHER.

Angie: That cant be true...thats not POSSIBLE!

Blackwell: Search your feelings, you KNOW it to be true. In fact, you admitted
to it like 3 episodes ago.

Angie: Damnit...he's right.

Anyway...silence...eerie isnt it? Gel and Incise.

===============================================================================

PHASE 1: The WEB.

You are now introduced to the MATURE Savato, which is basicly a HUGE spider
with flames coming out of its back. You may have noticed the web across Mr.
Blackwell's heart? Select your scalpel and a report from Victor (helpful, isnt
he?) telling you to cut the web. Hold your scalpel down on an intersection of
the web until a strand breaks.

Uh oh, apparantly the web also melted your scalpel. This is normal and happens
you cut every strand, so just wait for your scalpel to become available again.

You can cut around 3 strands before Savato makes a new strand. Of course, with
the strand comes around 7-8 Savato babies. Laser them between cutting strands,
but cutting strands takes priority when you get your scalpel back.

Did you finish the first web? Good. Savato now run down the Heart to make a new
web. Any babies in the first area will vanish without a trace. Start to cut
this new web, it has just as many strands as the first, so the same strategy
can be applied.

After you finish cutting the second, same deal, Savato retreats upwards and
makes a MUCH bigger web this time. Seriously cut from intersections this time.
You have around 6-7 base strands, plus you'll probably have to cut through
another 3-4 that Savato might make. MAKE SURE YOU LASER THE BABIES THIS TIME.

PHASE 1 COMPLETE

===============================================================================

If you let Savato absorb a Blue Immature Savato, Restart. Now. You'll thank me
later.

===============================================================================

PHASE 2: Lasering Savato

After you finish off the third web, another report from Victor, and more of
Angie's general pestering later, you can finally start to attack Savato. You
HAVE to KEEP the laser on Savato for him to take damage. And when I say Keep,
I mean "HOLD THE BUTTON ON HIM FOR 6 SECONDS" Thats how long it takes for the
first shield to even break.

Of course, Savato can still attack you in this Phase. I've found that the rate
at which he attacks increases with how many blue bugs he absorbed from the web
phase.

1. Savato creates 3 lacerations in a small arc. This usually causes around 11
vital damage. It's nothing really serious, but suture these ASAP. They can add
up quickly.

2. Savato speeds across the screen and creates a HUGE laceration that spawns
about 10 babies, and causes 6 points of vital damage. Laser the babies ASAP,
then suture the cut.

Of course, you'll ask me why i'm saying to suture the cuts ASAP. Any lasering
you've been giving to Savato when he just randomly decides to cut up your
patient has just been for nothing. Just suture the cuts ASAP, as Savato is
immune to damage for 2 seconds after he makes a cut.

You have to break through four shield layers first. Each layer takes a second
less than the previous layer to break (probably because the flames take up less
of Savato's body)

After the final shield layer, you'll finally be able to directly attack Savato
with your trusty scalpel. Run it across his body and he should take damage.
Of course this means he will now retreat to the lower heart and repeat the
process. Begin the laser the shield layers off again, dealing with cuts and
babies as you go along. Scalpel Savato again after the final shield layer is
off again. Savato retreats to the upper heart.

Victor, being the incredibly helpful person that he is, comes by to give you
the newly developed Serum designed to kill Savato! Apparantly that last guy you
saved is grateful and helped make this before passing out. Now, while Victor
was giving his speech, Savato got another set of shields. You know the drill.

Stab Savato after you get rid of the 4th shield layer, and then Savato will
absorb any babies currently on screen. Raise your vitals to 30. (Mine were
below when i first did this, and Savato instantly killed me with the next
attack), then inject Savato with the Serum.

PHASE 2 COMPLETE

===============================================================================

Your Vitals will now be reduced to 30.

===============================================================================

PHASE 3: FINISH HIM! DO DEE DOOOOOO. DEREK STILES WINS! FATALITY. (And now,
me being serious.)

Savato goes into Berserker mode and makes 9 lacerations in a circular pattern
in the center of the screen, and while an automatic HT activates, goes to make
another 5. After the HT, Mr. Blackwell will slowly lose vitals. Savato will
continue to make the 5x lacerations for 20 vital damage every 7 seconds. If you
wish, suture as many of these lacerations as you can while injecting stabilizer
before Savato attacks again.

When you're done playing around, if you want to try, attempt to inject Savato
with the Serum again. Savato will just dodge out of the way. He's just too fast
even with HT on. So how do we fix this problem? Hopefully you actually listened
to me and didnt use your HT yet? Use it now. Time will completely freeze. Vital
loss will stop. And more importantly, SAVATO will stop. Suture every single
laceration on screen, raise vitals to 99, (dont worry, this lasts forever),
laugh at Savato being helpless, then inject him with the Serum.

BLUE CLOUDS! This means that Savato must be dying! Indeed, it slowly crawls to
the center of the Heart, where it breaks into pieces and dies. Congratulations.

Suture, gel, bandage.

OPERATION COMPLETE!

===============================================================================

S-XS cutoff: Geez, I had such a huge point gap (12k) between S'ing then XS'ing
this. I'd guess around 20k.

-----------------------------=== [ Sayonara ] ===------------------------------

Patient is suffering from Kyriaki, and possibly another GUILT?!?

Starting Vitals: 99

Maximum Vitals: 99 (After the operation anyway...)

===============================================================================

I'll just state that this is one MESSED UP operation. Gel and Incise.

Look at the intestine. Notice anything strange about anything concerning
Kyriaki? That's right, NO GASHES. Heal all the lacerations. (I think theres
only two...)

After that, the first Kyriaki shows up. Well...its only one. They take three
laser hits to kill now, but other than that, not really harder in the least.
Zap it with the laser and move on.

Oh god...3 Blue immature Savato's just popped up. Your vitals will likely be
reduced to the new Maximum, 36. You're instructed to keep these things alive
throught the entire procedure. Well, you dont have to keep them ALL alive, but
you get a better rank if you do, and Kyriaki is so easy, it didnt even concern
me. Anyway, 2 seconds later, another laceration signals more Kyriaki. Even
though only one laceration appears, its still two infant Kyriaki. Deal with
them like normal, but keep an extra eye on vitals.

Then the Mature shows up. Make sure you have at least 30 vitals before this
thing shows up. Suture all lacerations ASAP, then inject stabilzer till your
vitals are maxed. NOW you can start to kill it. If you're fast, you can laser
it twice, while it only makes two lacerations, before having to inject
stabilizer again. Four hits kills the Mature.

After you get rid of the Mature Kyriaki, you'll now have to inject the Savato
with Sedative so you can remove it while its immobile. Inject it JUST as they
stop moving around, then use forceps to move it to the tray. Repeat as many
times as you have Immature Savato remaining.

After that, suture, gel, bandage.

OPERATION COMPLETE!

===============================================================================

S-XS cutoff: Again, I XSed this off the bat. Probably between 9500-9700.

And now for something different! EPISODE 6! FINALLY.

=============================== { 8: EPISODE 6 } ==============================

The two miracle doctors finally come together at Caduceus Europe, and you get
more information on what they call "Z-cells" which was basicly what Adam in
Under the Knife called "BLISS" which is the final GUILT. I'll give a little
rundown on "Z-cells" before starting the Operation portion.

Z-cells, or BLISS, comes directly from Adam's body. These super-cells boost
other cells in the area's regeneration/dividing rate exponentially, causing
MASSIVE wounds to heal REALLY REALLY fast and completely. Complete recovery
only takes DAYS instead of years now.

Of course, Z-cells, being GUILT, dont come without a horrible price, as they
release a random MUTATED GUILT into the persons body once the regeneration
process is complete.

Anyway, now that thats out of the way...

----------------------------=== [ EPISODE 6-3 ] ===----------------------------

------------------------------=== [ RELAPSE ] ===------------------------------

Patient Kathy Lyans is suffering from a possible mutated strain of Tetarti.

USE CAUTION.

Starting Vitals: 70

Maximum Vitals: 75

===============================================================================

Oh boy, Tetarti. Gel and Incise.

No Diverticula to start with? That's new. The Tetarti show themselves right
away, so inject them when you get the chance. Remember their colors for the
first injection, same as normal...then things turn upside down.

Round two, they dont even show their colors, and walk MUCH faster. You have to
use their poison clouds to distinguish what color to inject with, and that can
get crazy with 12 clouds taking up the screen so you cant even SEE the Tetarti.

Try to inject them as best you can, because you'll likely miss at least 6 times
trying to do so. Raise vitals.

3rd round is back to normal, as Angie states the obvious. Remember their colors
and inject. They move significantly slower.

Every round after that, you have to distinguish by poison clouds. The vitals
drop slower in this state, but that wont matter if you miss 10 times.

You need seven rounds of injections to finally kill Tetarti. Once you do so...

Suture, gel, bandage.

OPERATION COMPLETE!

===============================================================================

S-XS cutoff: Dont know. 7500 got me a XS.

----------------------------=== [ EPISODE 6-4 ] ===----------------------------

--------------------------=== [ SECOND OPINION ] ===---------------------------

Doctor Siles (HAHA. PAYBACK!) Is suffering from BOTH Kyriaki AND Paraskevi at
the same time. What's more, its the heart. LOL.

Starting Vitals: 60

Maximum Vitals: 99

===============================================================================

Haha, Angie is probably having a heart attack now. Poor girl. Gel and Incise.

Obviously a gash on the heart would probably instantly kill Derek, so you just
get normal lacerations right now. After you stitch them up, the Kyriaki and
Paraskevi will arrive.

===============================================================================

PHASE 1: Dual GUILT - Part 1

Two Kyriaki infants and two segments of Paraskevi show up. Don't worrk, these
segments are already in sixteenths, so you can just stun and extract them ASAP.

I dont really advise that, because if you do, you'll trigger two more segments
and I believe THREE more Kyriaki infants. Having five Kyriaki at once, even
though they're very easy, isnt good. I would take out one segment, then remove
the Kyriaki, then remove the last segment. Keep the remaining segments stunned
AT ALL TIMES. If its tail wags twice, consider yourself stripped of your
medical license.

Once the second wave of three Kyriaki and two more sixteenth segments comes in,
remove the segments immediately. Treat the Kyriaki like normal afterwards.

PHASE 1 COMPLETE
</pre><pre id="faqspan-3">
===============================================================================

During the short break you get, I HIGHLY suggest you activate your HT.

===============================================================================

PHASE 2: Dual GUILT - Part 2

The Mature Kyriaki shows up, but it isnt alone, its brought two EIGHTH segments
of Paraskevi with it. Stun the segments and cut them as soon as they show up.
Hopefully with HT on you'll max out your vitals doing this, then just stun and
remove the sixteenth pieces to the tray. Suture every single cut on screen as
there are likely eight by now, they'll reduce your vitals fairly quickly.

The Mature Kyriaki should be cakewalk to you by now, especially with maxed
vitals. You can just ultrasound it as soon as it goes back under and scalpel
it immediately. Just heal the lacerations just before it dives back under
and you'll be done in no time!

Suture, gel, bandage!

OPERATION COMPLETE!

(Its worth it to fail this purposely once just to see Angie's reaction XD)

===============================================================================

S-XS cutoff: Unsure. 13400 got me an XS. I'd think its somewhere between 13000
and my score.

----------------------------=== [ EPISODE 6-6 ] ===----------------------------

------------------------=== [ THE FUTURE OF GUILT ] ===------------------------

Patient Helgi is suffering from advanced Pempti. I told you those cells werent
really good for the body...GROSS, the screen got covered in blood. Lol j/k.

Starting Vitals: 90

Maximum Vitals: 99

===============================================================================

Pempti is ready for round 2. Are you? Gel and Incise.

Part 1 is basicly the same, just inject the Nanomachine twice, then laser the
core once it appears after Angie's non-necessary stating the obvious again.

Ah yes, did you notice the main core takes a LOT longer to take damage now?

Thats pretty much the main difference, nothing else has really changed. I think
the tumor cores might take less time to go out and make tumors, but i didnt
really notice since i can still kill ALL of them before they do so.

Just make sure you dont fall behind. Pempti can and WILL kill your patient if
you do, especially with the now increased vital damage that everything does.

Pempti takes 7-8 hits to die now. Each time you damage it, it'll stay hidden
for a longer period of time, plus when you deal the last hit, it wont actually
die until all visible mini-cores are destroyed.

Once you've done so, suture, gel bandage.

OPERATION COMPLETE!

===============================================================================

S-XS cutoff: I believe its 6500.

----------------------------=== [ EPISODE 6-7 ] ===----------------------------

--------------------------=== [ FALLEN HEROES. ] ===---------------------------

Four Patients are suffering from random (not really) strains of GUILT. They're
pretty much all mutated somehow (again untrue.)

Starting Vitals: 99 (Each patient starts with this)

Maximum Vitals: 99

Time Limit is 10 minutes for this operation.

===============================================================================

Oh boy, this is going to be a long day. Remember, you switch between doctors
each patient, so you technicly have 2 Healing Touches. Gel and Incise.

===============================================================================

PHASE 1: TRITI.

First Patient is Triti. I'll just mention this quick bit, then get on with this
phase.

If you want XS, DO NOT USE YOUR HEALING TOUCH HERE. You must get at least 3-4
thorns to turn to mist to get enough points for XS.

That being said, if you want to use HT here, go ahead. Since you're using
Derek, you'll get the time slow effect, and just remove all thorns and Triti
pieces and you'll be done.

If you know the Triti pattern, dont bother, work your way from right to left,
starting with the two piece section at the top right.

If you dont really know the pattern, but dont want to waste your HT here, work
your way to the left anyway. Less regeneration that way.

Once Triti is gone, Suture, gel, bandage.

===============================================================================

PHASE 2: KYRIAKI

Kirishima is next, operating on Kyriaki. LOL. Gel and Incise

I'm doing the Pre-Kyriaki part from memory, but i believe its 3-4 lacerations
and 1 gash. You should know how to fix these by now.

Wave 1 - Two Kyriaki infants. Easy. They take 3 hits to die.

Wave 2 - Two more Kyriaki infants. Also Easy. Raise vitals before you fix the
last wound or kill the Kyriaki if there arent any wounds.

Wave 3 - One Mature and One Infant Kyriaki. Suture the triple lacerations,
then get rid of the Infant. After that, this is easy. Oh wait...its Kyriaki.

Its easy anyway. LOL. After the Mature is gone, Suture, gel, bandage.

===============================================================================

PHASE 3: DEFTERA

Back to Derek. Gel and Incise.

Oh boy, that isnt normal. The entire organ is hemorraging. Drain all of the
blood. Soon after you do and after Angie's annoyances, the Deftera appear. You
just jump straight to the two pairs. Occasionally more blood pools will form.

Thats okay, drain them when you get the chance. Drain one pair of Deftera
IMMEDIATELY when you get the chance so like colors cant collide anymore. Work
on only ONE pair before you even START the other. Remember to laser tumors as
they appear. If a blood pool forms on top of a tumor, you have to drain the
blood first.

If you saved the HT, use it after the third time the first pair is drained.

Did i mention how much it sucks if you've already used HT and blood pools up
right when the trace line appears? Anyway, once one pair is gone, as usual
Deftera becomes much easier to handle. Just deal with the second one like in
the operation "Something Precious" Phase 1.

After that, Suture, gel, bandage.

===============================================================================

PHASE 4: PARASKEVI

Kirishima does the last patient. I shouldnt mention how bad this is if you
screw up now. Gel and Incise.

I forgot to mention you start at Area 4, the heart. And this isnt like 6-4,
where you got only 16th and Eighths segments. No, this time you have to deal
with the WHOLE worm. If a SINGLE piece burrows, regardless of how large it is,
you'll have to start Fallen Heroes from the first patient.

This would be much easier if you had Derek's HT, which slows down the worms,
but no, you have to deal with the massive vital restore HT. Angie will actually
be helpful and tell you when a segment is about to burrow. Remember, a segment
will wag its tail twice, then burrow. If ANY segment does this, laser it
IMMEDIATELY, and all others for good measure.

I'll copy the order you should do this in down here, and add to it a bit, so
you dont totally screw up.

Whole -> 2 Halves -> 1 Half, 2 Quarters -> 1 Half, 1 Quarter, 2 Eighths ->
1 Half, 1 Quarter, 4 Sixteenths. *remove Sixteenths* -> 1 Half, 2 Eighths ->
1 Half 4 Sixteenths *remove Sixteenths -> 2 Quarters -> 1 Quarter, 2 Eighths ->
1 Quarter, 4 Sixteenths *remove Sixteenths* -> 2 Eighths -> 4 Sixteenths.

I think that speaks for itself. If you cant do that successfully, you arent
ready for this operation.

Afterwards, Suture, gel, bandage.

OPERATION COMPLETE!

===============================================================================

S-XS cutoff: 24000

----------------------------=== [ EPISODE 6-8 ] ===----------------------------

---------------------------=== [ VULNERABILITY ] ===---------------------------

Doctor Robert Hoffman is suffering from a mutated Mature Savato. Use EXTREME
Caution. I'm NOT kidding.

Starting Vitals: 99

Maximum Vitals: 99

10 minute time limit.

OPERATION NOTE: REMEMBER. MATURE SAVATO. THIS MEANS NO HEALING TOUCH UNTIL
PHASE 3.

===============================================================================

Epic music straight off the bat, so you KNOW this is going to be hard. Gel
and Incise.

===============================================================================

PHASE 1: RED Savato Web Phase

Ah yes, you remember Savato, right? Its web just got a MAJOR strength upgrade.
In more than one way.

1. The web now takes 3 seconds to cut. This is why cutting at an intersection
is important, as it'll cut two strands at once.

2. The web now will turn red on occasion. Cut a web strand to prevent this, but
this occurs fairly fast. Once it turns dark red, it will damage your patient
for around 20-25 vitals, plus ruin your current chain.

3. Not that its important, but strand making creates 1-2 more purple savato
infants.

Now, allow me to dispel some rumors that I found on the few other guides for
this game.

1. Savato does not spin webs any faster, it just takes longer to cut strands.

2. Your tools do NOT run out faster.

Now that that's out of the way, you can start by cutting up the first web. It
should only have four strands, and granted you're fast, Savato should only make
one more strand. Be sure to laser the babies when they're made, but switch to
the scalpel just before it gets re-activated. Once the last strand is cut,
Savato will retreat downwards and make a new web.

Kirishima side, still 4 strands. Just do what i said the last paragraph. This
shouldnt be any different.

Back to Derek for the final web, this one has six strands. Be EXTRA sure you
cut only at strand intersections, otherwise the web will definitely turn red.
Also, make sure you dont leave ANY Savato babies alive before you cut the last
strand. As i said in Death Awaits All, the more blue immature Savato the Mature
absorbs, the more often he attacks.

PHASE 1 COMPLETE

===============================================================================

PHASE 2: RED Savato. The Lasering.

Savato hasnt really changed much here. He still generally attacks around as
often, maybe a half second faster, does a bit more vital damage, and still
makes the same amount of purple savato babies when making the baby spawn
laceration. So, anything really change?

Yep! The time it takes to remove a shield just got increased by a second. This
generally takes almost all of your laser power to remove the first shield, and
if Savato makes lacerations during any stage of it, you're better off just
waiting for the power to get back to the laser and suture the lacerations made.
Remember to laser the baby's exit direction point AS SOON AS THE CUT IS MADE.
Having blue immatures on the screen is NOT a good idea.

Savato has four shield layers again, and once you break through them all, you
have to slice Savato with the scalpel. After each shield breaks, he WILL use
a baby spawn cut, and that's bad if you used all your laser power to break his
shield.

After you slice Savato once, you'll be in control of Kimishima for the second
shield removal. You CAN use her HT here if you get in trouble. Just repeat
what you did above, and you'll be fine.

After the Savato retreats back to Derek, you'll notice you now have the Serum.
Too bad you still have to break through the third set of shields. Savato wont
give you many chances to do so here, so take every chance you can get.

After the third slice, inject the serum.

PHASE 2 COMPLETE

===============================================================================

PHASE 3: RED Savato. The Finish.

Savato goes berserk again with the massive amounts of lacerations.

"I'm tired of this GUILT crap..."

Same here Naomi. Her HT auto-activates, not Derek's. Remember that Savato will
be moving pretty fast, but each successful suture heals a TON of vitals. You
can easily keep up with the damage Savato does until you feel you have enough
points, then activate Derek's manual HT.

As usual, Time completely freezes. Suture any remaining lacerations, then
inject the Serum once more.

Savato does its little death dance, then you're free to suture, gel, bandage.

OPERATION COMPLETE!

===============================================================================

S-XS cutoff: I believe 25000. Not sure though.

Well, you've just beaten the storyline missions. Load your clear file and
you'll find...

============================ { 9: THE X MISSIONS } ============================

These operations have their own difficulty, EXTREME. This implies that these
operations are VERY VERY VERY hard compared to the main storyline. Most of the
time, this is true, as vitals on ANY of these patients drop like a rock if you
have even two lacerations on screen at once. If you arent confident, go play
a few missions in Hard difficulty, if you can at least S a few, you're set.

You can play these with either doctor, and once you finish one X mission, you
unlock the next for both doctors. Some are best settled with Derek's time
slowing HT, some are best fixed with Naomi's Vital regeneration HT.

OF COURSE if you want XS, you cant use HT on any of these except X7.

I'll be covering the X missions assuming you DONT use HT, which is applicable
to BOTH doctors. If you feel you cant pass your current X mission without HT,
I'll add (dHT), (nHT), or (bHT) next to paragraphs where its a good idea to
use HT. Ready?

(dHT) = Derek HT
(nHT) = Naomi HT
(bHT) = Both Doctor's HT.

----------------------------=== [ EPISODE X-1 ] ===----------------------------

---------------------------=== [ X-1 - KYRIAKI ] ===---------------------------

Some Unknown guy is suffering from Kyriaki. You should know that this is by FAR
the hardest Kyriaki in the game.

Starting Vitals: 99

Maximum Vitals: 99

===============================================================================

Are you ready for a decent challenge on Kyriaki for once? Gel and Incise. (bHT)

Okay, this is new. Three lacerations and FOUR gashes. Fix the gashes ASAP. Do
NOT stop for anything until they are fixed. Once they're fixed up, you can
suture two of the three lacerations. Get your vitals up to at least 60-70, then
fix the last laceration. (bHT)

===============================================================================

PHASE 1: First waves.

First wave has 3 Infant Kyriaki. Remember, heal lacerations as SOON as you can.
Their effects really add up on X-1, but it shouldnt matter. Once you get vitals
back up to around 55, start to dig up Kyriaki and kill them. They still only
take three hits.

After you kill two from the first wave, the second wave appears with two more
infants. Heal their lacerations ASAP, then start digging up Kyriaki. Kill
them as soon as you dig one up, even if you have two lacerations on screen,
then suture all wounds present. Before you heal the last wound or kill the
last Kyriaki, make sure you have at least 70 vitals. (bHT)

===============================================================================

PHASE 2: Final Wave.

This time, FOUR lacerations are caused, because the Infant got smarter hanging
around the mature. Suture all four lacerations ASAP, then dig up the infant
as soon as you find it. Remember to keep your vitals up, and kill the infant.

The Mature wont be very hard after that, just treat it like a normal Mature.
(Except heal the cuts when its dug up each time).

After that, suture, gel, bandage.

OPERATION COMPLETE!

===============================================================================

S-XS cutoff: I had a really big gap here, but i believe it was around 12500.

----------------------------=== [ EPISODE X-2 ] ===----------------------------

---------------------------=== [ X-2 - DEFTERA ] ===---------------------------

Yet another random patient is suffering from the most difficult Deftera yet.

Starting Vitals: 99

Maximum Vitals: 99

===============================================================================

Tumors. Fun. Gel and Incise.

===============================================================================

PHASE 1: Deftera singles.

On Derek's side, there'll be around 5-6 tumors, on Naomi's side, only 4. Just
Laser them all. After that, the single pair will show up. You should know how
to deal with just one pair, it doesnt require strategy. Just remember the
random blood pools interfering with your work sometimes. After three drains,
excise and remove Deftera, and laser the remaining tumors before adding the
membrane and geling it in.

Suture, gel, bandage.

===============================================================================

PHASE 2: Deftera doubles.

You wont like this part, but gel and incise.

GENTLEMEN! Behold, two pairs of super-charged Deftera. Treat this the same way
as Phase 3 of Fallen Heroes, except for the faster vital drops all-around.

Tips: If you get clogged by tumors, activate (nHT) to have a much easier time,
or use (dHT) if you're quick with the stabilizer.

When you drain a pair for the third time, unless you're skilled, activate HT
on either doctor IMMEDIATELY and scalpel the trace line as quickly as you can.

As usual, dont even START to drain the second pair of Deftera until the first
pair is removed. You have more than enough time to drain that once you get
around to it.

Drain blood pools as they appear. If one appears on top of a Deftera you're
about to excise, you're pretty screwed, as 5-6 tumors will likely appear before
you can drain the blood and excise the Deftera.

After you've removed both, Suture, gel, bandage.

OPERATION COMPLETE!

===============================================================================

S-XS cutoff: Dont know, XSed first try. I believe its 7800.

----------------------------=== [ EPISODE X-3 ] ===----------------------------

----------------------------=== [ X-3 - TRITI ] ===----------------------------

Unknown Patient #3 is suffering from Triti...which hasnt really advanced at all
in any way.

Starting Vitals: 99

Maximum Vitals: 99

===============================================================================

Gel, Incise. Lets get straight to the point, i dont feel like wasting time
writing a section on something incredibly easy.

This setup is completely different from the DS. I'll make ASCII in a few weeks
to tell you how to remove this without thorn regeneration. If you're having
trouble with the pattern STILL, use Derek's HT and just clear out the Triti.

For all you XS obsessed people, like me, you have to get at LEAST 880 operation
points before eliminating the last Triti. This means you have to let at least
six thorns turn to mist, and you have to do this within a 1 1/2 minute time
window. Not that easy, but it can be done with 15 seconds left.

Once you completely remove the Triti, thats it. Suture, gel, bandage.

OPERATION COMPLETE!

===============================================================================

S-XS cutoff: 6400

----------------------------=== [ EPISODE X-4 ] ===----------------------------

---------------------------=== [ X-4 - TETARTI ] ===---------------------------

Random Patient is suffering from...well, isnt it obvious from the operation
title?

Starting Vitals: 85

Maximum Vitals: 99

Oh, and you have a 3 minute time limit.

===============================================================================

..I hate this mission SO much. Gel and Incise.

Three Diverticula again, Inject the serum and excise them fast. They grow MUCH
faster on this mission than on GUILT Evolves. You only have about 12 seconds
to excise them all before one bursts. Once you cut the trace line on all three,
remove them all, place the membranes on all the holes, boost vitals, then gel
all the membranes.

Tetarti starts out this time by having to be identified by the poison gas. Oh,
did i mention vitals drop really fast if you're slow or miss a lot? Inject
all three. Round 1 done. Round 2 is the same.

Round 3 is...ugh. You can tell the Tetarti by their initial color showing, but
the vitals drop FASTER than a rock now. At least they move slowly.

Rounds 4 and 5 are the same as 1 and 2. Round 6 mirrors round 3. Then you have
two more rounds of identifying by gases before Tetarti is eliminated for good.

HT is applicable whenever. Derek's is generally better for this operation, as
Naomi's only raises vitals by 10 per round.

After the final injection, suture, gel, bandage.

OPERATION COMPLETE!

===============================================================================

S-XS cutoff: XSed my first try, so somewhere around 8000?

----------------------------=== [ EPISODE X-5 ] ===----------------------------

----------------------------=== [ X-5 - PEMPTI ] ===---------------------------

X-Pempti Patient. Know the patterns? Good. Dont know them? Go learn them before
attempting this.

Starting Vitals: 95

Maximum Vitals: 99

===============================================================================

Oh boy, ANOTHER jacked up Pempti. Gel and Incise.

Lets skip right to the actual fight, you should know how to get there by now.

Two real changes to this.

1. The main core, once again, takes MUCH longer to actually get an OK lasering
it constantly.

2. The tumor cores wash out around a second earlier, meaning its impossible to
kill them all before they do.

Then theres the obvious ones, like laceration cores causing more damage,
generally quicker vital loss. Etc. If theres anything i missed, let me know.

When you feel overwhelmed by tumors or cores in general, use HT to just get rid
of everything, both work well here. Naomi's is generally better though. Thats
all i can really say. Do not lift your laser for ANY REASON, You have unlimited
time and usage with it on Pempti for a reason you know.

Pempti takes 8-9 hits to die this time. Remember that after each hit, the core
will stay hidden longer. The later hits, the fight might turn against you,
depending how often he spams the tumor cores. Just dont let up, or Pempti WILL
kill you.

After Pempti dies, take care of any internal injuries, then suture, gel,
bandage.

OPERATION COMPLETE!

===============================================================================

S-XS cutoff: 6500 again.

----------------------------=== [ EPISODE X-6 ] ===----------------------------

--------------------------=== [ X-6 - PARASKEVI ] ===--------------------------

EXTREMELY Unstable patient is suffering from Paraskevi. Oh joy.

Starting Vitals: 35

Maximum Vitals: 50

Yeah, those Vitals arent lies. And this is an X operation. >_>

===============================================================================

Alright, lets start, Gel and Incise. I'll break this into parts.

===============================================================================

PHASE 1: First Half.

Upon entering the body, you'll see 4 lacerations. Fix these ASAP. As soon as
you fix the last, start injecting stabilzer until your vitals max, then when
Paraskevi appears, stun it.

It will quickly become apparant how much more difficult this is than some of
the other X missions so far. Each segment stays stunned for only about 1 1/2
seconds. Plus, each time you cut a segment, your vitals get lowered by 30, and
you have to deal with two lacerations, which vital loss adds up quickly.

Basicly, you can only cut 1 segment at a time, and you have to be above 35
vitals to do it, otherwise your patient could die while suturing the
lacerations left behind from the last segment cut.

So, tips on how to do this?

1. After cutting Paraskevi for the first time, allow one half to burrow into
Area 2. Less worm stunning = less worrying.

2. After you stun a 16th segment, immediately remove it, even if the other 16th
is about to escape. A 16th wont shake when its about to get out of stun, so
you might get a MISS if you try to remove it after stunning the other 16th.

3. Stabilze until one segment is about to escape, then laser it and all other
segments on screen.

Anyway, once you let one half escape, treat this like the last part of a normal
Paraskevi operation, just 1 cut at a time, meaning...

1 Half -> 2 Quarters -> 1 Quarter, 2 Eighths -> 1 Quarter, 4 Sixteenths
Now becomes...
1 Half -> 2 Quarters -> 1 Quarter, 2 Eighths -> 1 Quarter, 1 Eighth,
2 Sixteenths.

Basicly, you have a lot more stunning to do, especially with the MUCH shorter
stun times. Always cut one of the smallest segment you can. When you're done
in this area...

===============================================================================

PHASE 2: Second Half.

Hopefully you still have around 2 1/2 minutes left. Once you move to Area 2,
stabilize like a madman until the Paraskevi appears. If ANY segments escaped
from Area 1 that WASNT the half piece, take care of those first.

Treat the second half segment like Phase 1. If you wish, and believe you'll
have spare time, let a Quarter segment escape into Area 3, so you have less
stunning to do, then proceed as usual. Remember to only cut 1 segment at a time
and suture immediately afterwards. This should overall be easier than Phase 1.

After you've removed all segments, assuming you let a Quarter escape, when you
move to area 3, inject stabilzer to max, then remove the remaining segments.

After that, Suture, gel, bandage.

OPERATION COMPLETE!

===============================================================================

S-XS cutoff: 11000 I believe.

----------------------------=== [ EPISODE X-7 ] ===----------------------------

---------------------------=== [ X-7 - SAVATO ] ===----------------------------

Faceoff with Death Incarnate. Also the return of EPIC MUSIC.

Starting Vitals: 99

Maximum Vitals: 99

Time Limit is 10 minutes again.

YOU ABSOLUTELY CANNOT USE HT ON THIS MISSION UNTIL THE THIRD PHASE.

===============================================================================

Are you ready to be completely emmasculated in front of your friends?

Gel and Incise.

I was expecting a Purple Savato, but no matter.

===============================================================================

PHASE 1: X-7 Savato - Web Phase

Oh joy, Savato got harder across the entire board again.

1. Webs now take around 4 seconds to cut.

2. Red web forms a little faster.

3. Web strands now spawn about 10 Purple immatures.

As long as you cut intersections only, the web should never damage you itself.

Basicly, you have to go through three sets of webs again...4-4-6 strands.

You might get Web-damaged at the last strand, and thats okay. Your bigger
priority on the last web set should be the Immature Savato. KILL EVERY SINGLE
ONE BEFORE YOU CUT THE LAST STRAND. YOU WILL REGRET DOING SO OTHERWISE.

===============================================================================

PHASE 2: X-7 Savato - Laser Phase

If you let Savato absorb ANY babies, you will likely get spammed with a triple
laceration attack every 2 seconds or so and die fairly quickly. If Savato didnt
absorb anything, his attack rate will still be an attack every 6 seconds or so,
so the average person could still suture and stabilze until Savato lets up on
the attacks.

Once again, the Shield takes a little longer to burn off here. Around 7 1/2
seconds for the first shield, and subtract a second for the shield layer after
that down to the last layer. This will generally use up your laser, but if it
doesnt, let it off, and wait for Savato to make the baby spawning cut like he
always does after losing a shield, otherwise you might not be able to kill them
all, and then you'll be screwed.

Each time you successfully scalpel Savato, his attack rate will increase, but
not enough for me to warrant it significant. He does have a longer string of
attacks before letting you try to burn off his shield though. Just keep at it
until you scalpel him for the third time, then inject the Serum

PHASE 3: X-7 Savato - Healing Touch Phase.

This is where the XSers make or break it. You'll need to rack up at least 25k
points before activating your second HT. Derek's side has to inject stabilzer
3 times for every time Savato does the 5x laceration, Naomi's side just has to
keep up with the lacerations, but Derek's side has the advantage of slowed down
time. On average, the player will enter this phase with around 2:15:00 left.

You'll need at least 30 seconds to rack up 25k points, and still have the time
to get the time bonus. Derek's side has a rougher time keeping vitals up during
this time period, but Naomi's side might run out of stitches trying to keep up
with Savato. Either way, once you hit 25k activate your manual HT.

Yes, even Naomi can stop time on THIS Savato. Fix all remaining lacerations,
laugh at Savato, raise vitals to max, laugh at Savato again, then inject the
final dose of serum.

After that, suture, gel, bandage.

OPERATION COMPLETE!

=========================== { 10: GUILT STRATEGIES } ==========================

This section is here for fans of this guide to submit their own strategies.

If you have a strategy you would like others to try, please submit it to

[email protected]

If it has the subject "Trauma Center" in it, I will certainly read it and
respond.

The only section I might contribute to myself is Triti, and those will just
be a series of ASCII Diagrams showing you what order to remove thorns and
Triti pieces in to prevent any regeneration.

================================ { 11: FAQ } ==================================

I'll post interesting questions asked on the various forums I find and
any question anyone e-mails me. Anyway, just one for now.

===============================================================================

Q: TAMKFan from GameFAQs asks: How and Where do I rotate the bone from Naomi's
first mission?

A: This is a tough one to answer, seeing as i cant be completely accurate at
describing bone pieces without drawing ASCII. I will at one point, but for now
I'll just go by words and hope you'll understand.

1st Large Piece (Right next to the bone you reposition) Goes on the left side
of the bone you reposition. No twisting required.

2nd Large Piece (Piece that has only two fractures, i mean two large triangular
points) - This goes on the bone diagonal left of the last piece you fixed. You
may have to twist it left a little.

3rd Large Piece (Well its the last large piece) - Fits on the bone segment next
to the bone you had to reposition. Might have to twist it right a little.

The smaller (non-wide) pieces i cant describe well, but try to match them up
with the bone fragments you already put back.

The last piece is, as i mentioned hidden, and it should be obvious where that
goes.
