2. FAQ Information
I made this FAQ simply because there was no Walkthrough for it
anywhere at the time this is being made and it's a game I
have in my Wii Collection (it's in my collection, but it's
not mine exactly). Be aware that this guide contains SPOILERS
about the unlockables in the game. If you do not want to spoil
things for yourself, you are reading this guide at your own risk!
Be aware of this.

5. Party Mode Features
(5a) Overview
Accessible from the Main Menu, located under Adventure Mode,
Party Mode is a special mode, created by a different team of
developers from those that worked on the main Adventure mode. This
mode serves as a nice ''distraction'', if you will, from the
game's Main Mode and it let's you take part in multi-player games.
The available characters are the obvious foursome: Sonic, Tails,
Knuckles and Amy.
The four secret characters are: Shadow, Cream and two new, less
obvious characters: Silver and Blaze (both originating from STH2006
for the 360/Ps3). I was surprised when I first found out that
Rouge wasn't one of them but anyway...
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
(5b) Mini-Games
The main focus of this mode. This game spans a total of 40
mini-games. Some are quite lackluster but some are really
quite good.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
(5c) Fire Souls
Fire Souls found in Adventure Mode are used for unlocking new
stuff for Party Mode. Here's a list of all the unlockables that
can be found in this mode (in the order you'll unlock them):
Mini-Game #22: Aim! Big Crossbow < Funny sometimes. :)
Mini-Game #28: Sink 'em! Pirate Ship
Mini-Game #12: Row! Canoe Race
Mini-Game #29: Reel! Battle Fishing < Broken controls.
New Character: Shadow the Hedgehog
Mini-Game #30: Thrust! Bone Knight
New Character: Cream the Rabbit
Mini-Game #31: Cross! Balance Race < Pretty good.
Mini-Game #37: Watch out! Trap
Mini-Game #32: Put it out! Big Fire < Really Good Mini-game.
New Attraction: World Bazaar
Mini-Game #33: Fly! Ptero-Rider < Another good one.
New Character: Silver the Hedgehog < Last unlockable I got.
Mini-Game #34: Spin! Propeller Race
New Character: Blaze the Cat
New Option: Extreme Difficulty
New Attraction: Final Adventure X < As fun as it sounds?
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
(5d) Multiplayer
Throughout this guide, you'll find tips that will help you gain the
edge on your friends when you play with 2-4 Players.
People have been confused as to how the controllers work here.
1st Player = Must use Wii Remote
2nd, 3rd and 4th Players = Either Wii Remotes OR GC Controllers!
To use a GC Controller, plug it in the slot for the respective
player. If you're player 2, plug it into the second GC Controller
slot and etcetera. There should not be a GC Controller coming out
of the first slot.
However, “The_Shadow_Link” has told me how you can get a 4-player GC
Party game: To do this you must follow these steps:
(1) Load game as normal until player select screen. Have a GC
Controller in Port 1.
(2) Remove the battery Cover on the Wii-Mote
(3) Press the small red button (reconnect, this switches of the Wii-
Mote until a button is pressed.)
(4) Put the battery cover back on and don't push any buttons on it.
Practically if the 1st player Wii-Mote is not connected, then it will
pick up a reading from the first gamecube controller, allowing for 4
player GC Controller Party Mode.
Thanks TSL.
As for Computers, they can be set to the following difficulties:
Easy, Normal, Hard, and the unlockable, Extreme difficulty.
For more information on each of the mini-games, keep reading:

6. Secondary Modes
Other than the World Library (whereby you choose select mini-games
one by one), there are several other modes (dubbed: "Attractions")
whereby you can play the mini-games in different ways.
(6a) Tournament Palace
Like the Duel modes from Mario Party's 6 and 7. Basically, each
player is placed in 4 different windows in a castle and you must
duel the person beside you.
1/2/3/4 = Winner
||
1/2 VS 3/4
|| ||
1 VS 2 || 3 VS 4
||
START
Simply proceed and see if you can beat your opponents. Settings
include the ability to configure the amount of games you play
to allow for longer or shorter gameplay. 1, 3, or 5 rounds per
duel can be changed. Not that fun, in my opinion...
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
(6b) Treasure Hunt
Ah, the memories of Sonic Shuffle bring tears to my eyes.. Okay
not really, but I expected this mode to be much different from
what it turned out to be.
Basically, players play mini-games and depending on the place
they earn, they'll be able to travel along the board.
1st Place earns you an 8-space movement.
2nd Place earns you a 6-space movement.
3rd Place earns you a 4-space movement.
4th Place earns you a 2-space movement.
Players must locate the treasure Omochao indicates. It's okay
if you fail to find the correct treasure as they'll remain in
the same place even under the next treasure search unless someone
changes the order.
Speaking of which, large Event Spaces in the middle of each
area (which must be landed on to reap the benefits) will allow
you to influence the game either by moving you to the space of
another player, shuffling all the treasure chests (frustrating
for others but a great move if you're behind) or to search for
a different treasure.
First player who successfully locates 3 of the required treasures
is the winner.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
(6c) Genie's Lair
This attraction pits players in a Lair of genies with a room
full of treasure chests. Players that win a mini-game will be
able to choose treasure chests to open and possibly earn some
points. All opened treasure chests will remain open
once the round has ended.
Once all the treasure boxes containing items (and not traps) have
been found, the game will end.
Treasure boxes will contain one of the following items:
-Silver Coin: Measly 1-point
-Gold Coin: 3-point value
-Gold Bar: 5-point value (Be sure not to risk losing this.)
They could also contain traps that will make you forfeit
(no pun intended) your turn, make you lose all your points and
possibly have another effect on the game:
-All the points you WOULD have earned are given to another player.
(Can be frustrating if you have like 10 or more...)
-All treasure chests will be shuffled around.
-> Opened boxes will remain opened.
-All treasure chests in the area will be opened and their
contents will be temporarily visible to all players.
Don't get too greedy...
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
(6d) World Bazaar
The first unlockable attraction. Players will use rings earned
from mini-games to bid on Carpets that are being auctioned off.
This game involves quite a bit of strategy as you need to know
WHEN to buy which carpets and when to refuse them.
Every time you play, some carpets will be worth more than
others due to their rarity. Some carpets can be extremely rare
yet others may be very common. The common carpets will be worth
less and less in the end as the game progresses. The rare carpets
will be worth much more if only a few people bid on them.
At the end of the game (depends on how many rounds you set it
to - up to 20 Rounds), what carpets are really worth in the end
will be revealed to all players. The player is the one who earns
the most points in the end.
Also, if you set this on in the Configurations of this game,
the King will choose a random carpet that will actually be worth
double than it actually is. Hope for the rare ones - if you placed a
bid on that one, that is.
Second best attraction IMO but I'm sure it would've been third
if I tried the second unlockable attraction...
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
(6e) Pirates Coast
Probably one of the best modes just cause it's so simple.
Players will take the roles of captains of their own respective
pirate ships. Players must race to the secret treasure location
at the end of the map by moving along the track. Players move
based on their placement in the mini-games that are played
every round.
1st Place earns you a whopping 10-space movement.
2nd Place earns you a 6-space movement.
3rd Place earns you a 4-space movement.
4th Place earns you a 2-space movement.
The fastest you can complete the game in is either 6 or 7
rounds (6 if you get the right items). Some areas on the track
will feature different Events that will greatly affect gameplay.
Your spaces can be divided in half on your next turn with Headwind.
Your spaces can be DOUBLED on your next turn with Tailwind.
You'll miss your next turn with the Whirlpool.
You'll be moved even more spaces if you get the rare Giant Fish.
You'll have to move back a certain number of spaces with Storm.
-> Such a dumb name, but anyway...
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
(6f) Final X Adventure
Accessible through the World Library; I don't know too much about
it except that you earn it after collecting pretty much all
Fire Souls.
I didn't unlock this before I took the game back but I do know
that the game is just like Endurance alley from Mario Party 6.
You go through as many mini-games as you can before losing one.
Once you lose one to a computer opponent, your game ends and
your high-score is recorded.

7. Mini-Games
(7a) Classifications
Mini-games fall under varying classifications (like in Mario
Party) that can be selected individually from the Library:
Survival Games - Require you to be the last player standing.
Point Games - Require you to earn the most points.
Race Games - Timed games that require you to reach a goal.
Record Games - All games that save rankings. Record score/time
and the character you used.
(7b) All Mini-Games
All mini-games, the core of the guide, can be found here.
1 through 40. Here we go!
The format I will follow will be the following:
(MG title)
Objective - the objective of the game in a sentence or two
Fun Factor - how fun the game is, out of 5 stars
Difficulty - how difficult/easy the game is (1=Easy; 5=Very Hard)
Controls - how you play the game
Problems? - if the game is "broken" or not
Advantage - which controller (GC or Wii Remote) will have the
upper hand here
My Advice - tips I have for the game
___________________
Roll it! Heavy Ball
Objective: To squish as Kri Ma Djinn as possible using giant boulders.
Fun Factor: *
Difficulty: ***
Controls:
-WII: Move the Wii Remote to move your cursor.
-GC: Move the control stick to move your cursor. Press and hold A
and push towards a direction to move your boulder.
Problems: Not really. It's just really hard to get the hang of
it for some.
Advantage: Wii Remote (Hands down...)
My Advice:
-Blue, Red and Silver Kri Ma Djinn are worth 1, 3, and 5 points
respectively.
-Use the hill in the middle to earn you a bit of added momentum
and speed.
Hit it! Home Run
Objective: To hit as many Home Runs as possible after 3 pitches.
Fun Factor: **
Difficulty: **
Controls:
-WII: Simulate the action of holding a baseball bat by holding
the Wii Remote in front of you and swinging from your shoulder
in front of you once the ball comes to you.
-GC: Simply press the A Button when the ball comes to you.
Problems: Nope. Clean.
Advantage: I'd say GC Controller simply because pressing a button
with perfect timing is different than having to swing at the
perfect time.
My Advice:
-None really except play Wii Sports Baseball a bit if you're
having trouble. :P
Spin! Cogwheel Relay
Objective: Squish as many Kri Ma Djinn as possible using the cogs.
Fun Factor: *
Difficulty: **
Controls:
-WII: Hold the Wii Remote sideways and turn it in a rotary motion
as if simulating the action of turning a crank.
-GC: Hold the L Button to turn the crank. Hold the R Button to
turn the crank in the opposite direction.
Problems: Nope.
Advantage: Neutral.
My Advice:
-Watch the Kri Ma Djinn as they fall so they don't head off into
the safe zones.
-Only Kri Ma Djinn that reach the bottom or get squished will
count towards your point total.
Go! Mine Cart Race
Objective: Race to the end of the Mine Cart track.
Fun Factor: ***
Difficulty: ***
Controls:
-WII: Hold the Wii Remote sideways and move it upwards and
downwards to make the mine cart move. Stop moving to duck under
obstacles.
-GC: ???
Problems: None.
Advantage: Neutral
My Advice:
-Obstacles along the track will waste your time. Watch out.
Hit it! Parasol Ball
Objective: Knock the packets (dubbed "Parasol Balls") that
Omochao throws at you back into the moving bin.
Fun Factor: **
Difficulty: **
Controls:
-WII: Use the Control Pad to move under flying packets and
swing the Wii Remote to smack it with the Tennis Racket.
-GC: Use the Control Stick to move and press the A Button to
whack the packets.
Problems: None.
Advantage: Neutral.
My Advice:
-Watch the shadows and set yourself up as soon as you see the
Parasols being thrown.
-In the 2nd Round, more parasols will fall. Careful.
Get 'em! Parasol Diving
Objective: Collect the coins afloat in the air as you glide in
the sky.
Fun Factor: **
Difficulty: **
Controls:
-WII: Hold the Wii Remote normally and tilt the Wii Remote to
descend while falling.
-GC: Use the Control Stick to glide in the air.
Problems: Nope. Except that once you reach the bottom of the
screen, you can't go back up to the top...
Advantage: Wii Remote as it'll be easier to get around clouds
and other opponents.
My Advice:
-You can reach the bottom of the screen by going under your
opponents and/or trying to force them against the corners of
the screen.
-Clouds will waste your time. If you get stuck, swing the Wii
Remote/press A rapidly.
Spin! Steel Survival
Objective: Use Iron Balls to knock your opponents off towers above
the sky. Be the last one standing to win.
Fun Factor: *****
Difficulty: ***
Controls:
-WII: Swing the Wii Remote and press A to let go of the Iron Ball.
-GC: Use the Control Stick to spin and press A to let go of the
Iron Ball.
Problems: None.
Advantage: Wii Remote due to ease and timing.
My Advice:
-You don't have to swing profusely to hit your opponents
powerfully. Just enough that you can reach them.
-Let go of the A Button at the right time, otherwise, you'll
waste a valuable throw.
-You'll be temporarily stunned once you are hit.
Knockdown! Balance Battle
Objective: Not dissimilar to Bumper Balls from Mario Party, use
your balls to knock your opponents off the playing field.
Fun Factor: *** (Thought it would be a lot better)
Difficulty: **
Controls:
-WII: Hold the Wii Remote normally and tilt in the desired
direction to produce the desired effect on-screen.
-GC: Use the Control Stick to move.
Problems: None.
Advantage: Neutral.
My Advice:
-You'll be temporarily stunned once you collide with an opponent.
-Continuously knock your opponents while they’re near the edge to
knock them off.
-Use other opponents to knock off other people.
-Watch out that you don't get hit form behind when going for your
opponents.
-Watch out for the platform you're on. It'll rotate as players
shift to one side.
Grab it! Bubble Hunt
Objective: Collect as many butterflies as you can.
Fun Factor: *
Difficulty: ***
Controls:
-WII: Hold the Wii Remote and hold the A button to grasp the wand.
Swing it from your right shoulder to your left and let go to make
a bubble.
-GC: Hold the A Button to grasp the wand. Use the Control Stick
to make a bubble and release the A Button to let go.
Problems: Somewhat broken for the Wii Remote...
Advantage: GC Controller.
My Advice:
-Some butterflies are worth more points than others.
-Get away from your opponents and the walls. Your bubbles will
pop if they touch anything.
-The bigger you blow the better.
Spike! Fruit Catch
Objective: Make your own shish-ka-bob by "spiking" as many fruit
as possible.
Fun Factor: **
Difficulty: **
Controls:
-WII: Hold the Wii Remote normally and move the stick in the
direction you want as you point the Remote at the screen.
-GC: Use the Control Stick to move the stick.
Problems: None.
Advantage: Wii Remote takes the advantage especially in the
2nd Round.
My Advice:
-More fruit will fall in the 2nd round at a faster rate.
-You need to be pretty exact to get it on the stick. Sometimes,
it'll roll down the stick and hit you. (Kind of funny actually)
Whack! Giant Stakes
Objective: Whack as many posts into the ground as you can within
the time limit.
Fun Factor: ***
Difficulty: **
Controls:
-WII: Use the Control Pad to move and swing the Wii Remote
downwards to smack the posts.
-GC: Press A to smash the posts and the Control Stick to move.
Problems: None.
Advantage: GC Controller: button-mashing.
My Advice:
-Posts need to be hit 3 times for them to count for points.
-Gray posts will be worth more points (5 as opposed to 3) as they
require more hits.
-Try hitting two or more posts at the same time.
Row! Canoe Race
Objective: Race using canoes in a two-lap course.
Fun Factor: ***
Difficulty: ***
Controls:
-WII: Hold the Wii Remote sideways and simulate the motion of
rowing a boat by spinning the Wii Remote in a continuous motion
to move into the direction you want.
-GC: ???
Problems: Somewhat broken for the Wii Remote.
Advantage: ???
My Advice:
-Stay along the corners of the track and paddle as early as
possible to prepare yourself for the next turn.
Row! Canoe Salvage
Objective: Collect as many coins as you can using your canoes.
Fun Factor: **
Difficulty: ****
Controls:
-WII: Hold the Wii Remote sideways and simulate the motion of
rowing a boat by spinning the Wii Remote in a continuous motion
to move into the direction you want.
-GC: ???
Problems: Somewhat broken for the Wii Remote.
Advantage: ???
My Advice:
-Stay towards the middle-right. There tends to be a lot of coins
in this area and for some reason, the impulse will be to head
middle-left (for the COM's and maybe your friends as well). If
it doesn't work, then just switch sides.
-Gold coins are worth more than Silver ones.
Row! Canoe Survival
Objective: Survive as long as you can in your canoes as you canoe
above a raging waterfall.
Fun Factor: *****
Difficulty: ***
Controls:
-WII: Hold the Wii Remote sideways and simulate the motion of
rowing a boat by spinning the Wii Remote in a continuous motion
to move into the direction you want.
-GC: ???
Problems: Somewhat broken for the Wii Remote yet this canoe games
works the best out of the three, I found.
Advantage: ???
My Advice:
-Watch out for beehives as these will temporarily stun you and
possibly throw you off the waterfall.
-If you're at the very top of the waterfall, and the beehive
appears on the side, stop rotating to get away then continue to
row cautiously.
Shine on! Kri Ma Djinn
Objective: Use the mirror to destroy as many Kri Ma Djinn as
possible.
Fun Factor: **
Difficulty: ***
Controls:
-WII: Hold the Remote facing upwards and tilt the Remote in the
direction you want to shine the mirror on Kri Ma Djinn.
-GC: Use the Control Stick to shine the mirror on the Kri Ma Djinn.
Problems: Practically broken for GC Controller. I feel sorry for
people that will use it when you're playing with friends. Like
in Wii Play/Laser Hockey when, according to Gametrailers, the
paddle (or in this case, the mirror) will randomly disappear.
Advantage: Wii Remote
My Advice:
-Red ones are worth the most points and will take longer to
destroy.
Recognize! Treasure Box
Objective: Once time runs out, be the player with the treasure
chest that wield the most coins. The catch? You don't know
what's in each case. All you can go by is the sound it makes.
Fun Factor: *
Difficulty: **
Controls:
-WII: Use the Control Pad to run and press A to choose a treasure
chest.
-GC: Use the Control Stick to guide your character and press A
to choose a chest.
Problems: None.
Advantage: Wii Remote, you can hear how many coins are in the box.
It's spoiled on the screen with GC. Otherwise, fairly neutral.
My Advice:
-Throw boxes at your opponents to make them drop theirs.
-Use the time limit wisely to run away from your opponents and
steal their boxes.
Spot! Pitch Black
Objective: Choose the card that is different from all the others.
The person that chooses the most correct cards within the time
limit wins. (Just like Odd Card Out from Party 6)
Fun Factor: ****
Difficulty: **
Controls:
-WII: -Use the Wii Remote to shine the lantern (move the cursor)
by holding the Remote normally and press A to confirm your
selection.
-GC: Use the Control Stick to move the cursor and press A to
confirm your choice.
Problems: Nope.
Advantage: Wii Remote; with it you can be more quick on your toes
than the player using the GC Controller.
My Advice:
-Some key things to look for in a card that may differ from the
others include:
* Eyes
* Specific Character Features (e.g, Cream's Ears)
* Shoes
-Sometimes a character may be holding something that may be
different from the others. Be sure to take notice of it.
Seek! Edge Race
Objective: Use Omochao to guide your blindfolded character to
the finish line.
Fun Factor: ****
Difficulty: **
Controls:
-WII: Use the Wii Remote to guide Omochao. Press A to clap.
-GC: Use the Control Stick to guide Omochao. Press A to clap.
Problems:
Advantage: Wii Remote; you can move Omochao more quickly.
My Advice:
-The less times you have to clap the better.
-At the very start, clap that will lead your character diagonally
towards the next path where you'll just have to go straight.
Then, make him/her go diagonally near the bottom, then left a
bit to avoid the drop, then straight, then straight across the
bridge, then straight up, then be careful as you set up to do
only two claps: one leading left and one leading straight up
that will guide your character the rest of the way to the goal.
Spill! Weight Puzzle
Objective: Find the number of coins in your chest that is equal
to the weight on the scale before your opponents do.
Fun Factor: ***
Difficulty: ***
Controls:
-WII: Tilt the Wii Remote downwards to spill coins.
-GC: Move the Control Stick down to spill coins.
Problems: Nope.
Advantage: Neutral.
My Advice:
-Drop about one to two-thirds so you can judge how close/far
away you are.
Aye aye Captain! Pirate Flag
Objective: Follow the genie's directions and move the flag in
the directions he indicates to avoid the onslaught of the
pirates.
Fun Factor: ****
Difficulty: ***
Controls:
-WII: Hold the Remote normally and tilt the Wii Remote in the
direction you want.
-GC: Use the Control Stick to move the flag in any direction.
Problems: Nope.
Advantage: Neutral.
My Advice:
-Subsequent rounds will require more flag movements and more
memorization on your part.
-Once 3 players have lost, the game is over.
Spin! Safe Dial
Objective: Enter the password that opens the safe before your
opponents.
Fun Factor: ***
Difficulty: **
Controls:
-WII: Turn the Wii Remote in a spinning motion to simulate the
action of spinning a wheel; stop turning to slow down and come
to a stop.
-GC: Use the Control Stick to spin and release to slow down and
stop.
Problems: Nope.
Advantage: Neutral.
My Advice:
-Be sure to remember the password so you don't have to waste
time by re-showing it.
Aim! Big Crossbow
Objective: Get as close to the center of the moving target as
possible.
Fun Factor: ****
Difficulty: **
Controls:
-WII: Aim the crossbow with the Wii Remote. Hold A and release
to fire.
-GC: Aim the Crossbow with the Control Stick. Hold A and release
to fire.
Problems: Nope.
Advantage: Neutral.
My Advice:
-Remember that the target is moving so you'll need to go with
enough power so that you can hit the target near the center.
-Watch out for the mallets that will result in an automatic
failure.
Aim! Color Balloon
Objective: Pop as many balloons as you can using your bow.
Fun Factor: **
Difficulty: ****
Controls:
-WII: Aim your bow with the Wii Remote and fire with the A Button.
-GC: Aim with the Control Stick and fire with the A Button.
Problems: Not sure. I'm really bad at this game, I remember that.
Advantage: ???
My Advice:
-Give yourself a little bit of elbow room. The balloons fly
upwards so fire a little higher than where they are so you'll
increase your chances of hitting it when the balloon does
reach the height you need.
-Balloons closer to you will wield less points and balloons
further away from you will wield more points.
Whack! Hatchet
Objective: Whack as many logs as you can with your trusted axe.
Fun Factor: ***
Difficulty: **
Controls:
-WII: Hold the Wii Remote in front of you and swing the Remote
down to simulate the movement of swinging an axe downwards.
-GC: Press the A Button to swing the axe downwards.
Problems: None.
Advantage: GC Controller. They can mash their buttons a lot more
faster than you can with swinging the Wii Remote.
My Advice:
-Hitting Omochao will waste time. Other than that, go fast but
not too fast that you hit the poor guy... (Or at least try to
resist the temptation, as if on impulse.)
Stay Tight! Big Balloon!
Objective: Fill up the balloon as fast as you can without being
the ones to pop it. The loser is the player who pops the balloon.
Fun Factor: *
Difficulty: *
Controls:
-WII: Hold the Wii Remote sideways as in the main game and imitate
the action of pumping air to a balloon. Bring the Wii Remote up
and down in a fast-paced motion to input more air into the balloon.
-GC: Simply press the A Button as fast as you can/as much as you
want to fill up the balloon.
Problems: None. (Except that this game could've been so much more
if it weren't finished so fast.)
Advantage: GC Controller. Button-mashing ftw.
My Advice:
-Hold the Wii Remote in one hand and move it downwards as fast
as you can. This will pump up air more quickly.
Pull on it! Carpet
Objective: To pull as many carpets as you can away from the
genie's collection. Watch the genie's dance routine and whenever
he jumps, steal as many carpets as you can.
Fun Factor: *****
Difficulty: ***
Controls:
-WII: Hold the Wii Remote sideways as in the main game and imitate
the action of pulling on something by bringing the Remote close to
you.
-GC: Press the A button as fast as you can to steal the carpets
once the genie falls off/is in the air.
Problems: None.
Advantage: GC Controller. Again, button-mashing once the
opportunity is there.
My Advice:
-If the genie's carpet is pulled while he is still dancing, he
will fall off and actually fall onto the person that was the
cause of it, thus, disabling movement for a short period of time.
-If you're playing against your friends, be sure NOT to be the one
who pulls the carpet while the genie is dancing as you'll find
that your friends will easily catch up to you as all they have
to do is press A with the GC Controller.
Look up! Skydiving
Objective: Get to the bottom as fast as you can but avoid the
thunderclouds.
Fun Factor: ***
Difficulty: ***
Controls:
-WII: Hold the Wii Remote normally and swinging up and down to
flap your wings.
-GC: Press A to flap your wings.
Problems: None.
Advantage: Neutral.
My Advice:
-Thunderclouds can waste a lot of time especially when you hit
them often. Be sure to avoid as many as you can.
Sink 'em! Pirate Ship
Objective: Sink as many pirate ships as you can.
Fun Factor: ***
Difficulty: ***
Controls:
-WII: Hold the Wii Remote in front of you and tilt the Wii Remote
left, right, up and down to move the cannon and press the A Button
to fire a cannonball.
-GC: Move the Control Stick in the desired direction to move the
cannon. Press the A Button to fire a cannonball.
Problems: Not really.
Advantage: Neutral.
My Advice:
-Pirate ships that are further away will produce more points.
-If you're play with 4 people, try to be player 4 as the pirate
ships will come to you first so you'll get first opportunity at
firing at them.
Reel! Battle Fishing
Objective: Fish for and collect as many fish as you can.
Fun Factor: *
Difficulty: ****
Controls:
-WII: Hold the Wii Remote facing you and swing the Wii Remote
forward to imitate the action of casting a fishing rod. Swing
the Wii Remote back to you to take the rod out of the water.
-GC: Use the A button to cast your rod into the water and the A
button again to take it back out.
Problems: The game is broken for the person wielding the Remote.
Just sending the rod into the water can be a daunting task and
will require multiple tries before you execute it properly.
Advantage: GC Controller as the game appears to be broken for
the Wii Remote.
My Advice:
-Yellow fish are worth the most points.
-Take your rod out of the water once you feel a rumble.
Thrust! Bone Knight
Objective: Defend yourself from the skeletons as they go on an
assault against you.
Fun Factor: *
Difficulty: **
Controls:
-WII: Hold the Wii Remote facing you and hold it in front of your
face to defend against the attacks of the skeletons. Thrust the
Wii Remote forward once they are open to attacks.
-GC: ???
Problems: Nope.
Advantage: ???
My Advice:
-None really.
Cross! Balance Race
Objective: Balance the pot above your head as you reach the goal
but be careful of strong winds!
Fun Factor: ****
Difficulty: ***
Controls:
-WII: ???
-GC: ???
Problems: Nope
Advantage: Wii Remote since you have more control over the pot.
My Advice:
-Go as fast as you can but if you go too fast, you'll lose your
balance.
-Always go in the opposite direction the pot is moving to try to
balance it when it's about to fall off.
-If the pot falls off your head, you'll waste valuable time.
-Be sure to balance the pot as much as possible when strong
winds start to blow.
Put it out! Big Fire
Objective:
Fun Factor: *****
Difficulty: ***
Controls:
-WII: Hold the B Button to let out water to extinguish fire.
Move the Wii Remote in the desired direction to aim for fire
patches.
-GC: Hold the R Button to let out the water to extinguish the
fire. Move the Control Stick to aim for fire patches.
Problems: None.
Advantage: Wii Remote since you can put out more fires more
quickly than you would using the Control Stick with the GC
Controller.
My Advice:
-You don't always have to go for the fire straight in front of
you. You can always try to extinguish the fire in front of your
opponents.
-The boilers at the side wield a lot of points once fire comes
out from them. Be sure not to overlook them.
-The further fire patches are, the more points you'll receive
for putting them out.
Fly! Ptero-Rider
Objective: Use the pterodactyl to gain altitude and fly as far
as you can. The player that flies the furthest is the winner.
Fun Factor: *****
Difficulty: ***
Controls:
-WII: Hold the Wii Remote facing you and tilt the Wii Remote
down to dive towards the water and tilt the Remote up to rise
and gain altitude.
-GC: Controls just like Air Farce from Mario Party 7. Hold the
Control Stick down to dive closer to the ground and then come
up by holding up on the Control Stick.
Problems: Nope.
Advantage: Neutral.
My Advice:
-If you try to rise at the wrong time, you'll fall in the water.
-A balance of diving and coming up is necessary for you to pull
off a good score.
-Dive far down but not too far that you won't be able to rise.
-Watch out for rock masses that may hinder your performance.
Spin! Propeller Race
Objective: Be the first person to cross the finish line.
Fun Factor: ???
Difficulty: ???
Controls: ???
-WII: ???
-GC: ???
Problems: ???
Advantage: ???
My Advice:
-I've never played the game so I can't really help you here..
Fore! Putt-Putt
Objective: Get as many holes as you can over a two-hole mini-golf
course. >_>
Fun Factor: *
Difficulty: ***
Controls:
-WII: Hold the Wii Remote downwards like a golf club and swing
the Wii Remote from right to left to putt.
-GC: ???
Problems: Wii Remote has difficulty recognizing the movements
apparently and when you try to force it a little, you'll go
flying off course.. What a great game... And here I thought it
would work exactly like Wii Sports.
Advantage: GC Controller.
My Advice:
-The faster the swing, the further you'll go. Be careful of
holes and downhill slopes to judge the swing.
Play! Violin
Objective: Imitate the genie playing the violin in the center to
make music.
Fun Factor: ****
Difficulty: ***
Controls:
-WII: Hold the Wii Remote sideways like a violin and tilt it
left and right in time with the music.
-GC: Move the Control Stick left and right to string the violin
in time with the background music.
Problems: None.
Advantage: Neutral.
My Advice:
-All scores will start at 100 and will slowly decrease as you
get off tune, play the wrong note, or fail to execute proper
input.
-The better your timing and accuracy, the more points you'll get.
Watch out! Trap
Objective: Choose a lock to get closer and closer to finding the
treasure but choose the wrong lock and...
Fun Factor: *** (Can be funny when they're taken away)
Difficulty: *
Controls:
-WII: Choose a lock by using the Control Pad and press A to
confirm your selection. Then, imitate the action of turning a key.
-GC: Choose a lock by moving the Control Stick and pressing the
A Button to confirm your selection.
Problems: None.
Advantage: Neutral.
My Advice:
-No advice really. Pure luck. :P
Fire! Marksman
Objective: Shoot the giant pot as fast as you can once the
curtain is raised.
Fun Factor: ***
Difficulty: **
Controls:
-WII: Hold the Wii Remote downwards and once the curtain is
raised, point the Remote at the screen and press A to fire a shot.
-GC: Move the cursor using the Control Stick and press A to fire
a shot.
Problems: Nope.
Advantage: GC Controller. They can have their cursor on the screen
even before the curtain comes up. :P
My Advice:
-There are only like three to five possible places where the Giant
Pot will be. If it's near the middle, trust me, you'll notice
it clearly. Keep your eyes towards the left and the right of
the screen.
-If you miss a shot, you'll be temporarily stunned and won't be
able to fire again for the remainder of the round.
Hold it! Treasure Haul
Objective: Steal the treasure from the sleeping Kri Ma Djinn
without waking it.
Fun Factor: *
Difficulty: ***
Controls:
-WII: Hold the Wii Remote as normal and move the Remote forward
to steal coins from the Kri Ma Djinn's stash and move the Remote
back to collect coins.
-GC: Hold up on the Control Stick and slowly move down to collect
coins.
Problems:
Advantage: GC Controller. Less coins will fall off when you use
this controller than you would if you used the Wii Remote as it's
more sensitive.
My Advice:
-Go slowly, but not too slow, otherwise, the Kri Ma Djinn will
hear the coins making noise.
-Ignore the computers and don't go as fast as they do. You'll
most likely wake the giant Kri Ma Djinn.
Grab it! Kri ma Djinn
Objective: Use the next to catch as many Kri Ma Djinn as you can.
Fun Factor: *
Difficulty: **
Controls:
-WII: Hold the Wii Remote normally and move the net around in the
direction you want, depending on where you move the Remote.
-GC: Use the Control Stick to move the net around the area.
Problems: Broken for the person using the GC Controller. Catching
the Kri Ma Djinn will be a lot harder than you think.
Advantage: Wii Remote
My Advice:
-In the second round, you'll see that the enemies come out faster.
Note which pots move to anticipate where to move next after you
get one of the Kri Ma Djinn.
-Watch the shadows to anticipate where they will land next.
-If you're after the 1st player, you'll have an advantage as you'll
be able to see where and when the Kri Ma Djinn will appear.

Here's a checklist I made that you can use to keep track of which
Fire Souls you've collected and which ones you have left to locate.
The chart will appear in a later version.
I doubt that this section will list how to find the Fire Souls

12. FAQ
Q: Are you done the game?
A: I rented the game when it came here in Canada for a week
(Feb 27th; week of) and since then, I've never played it again.
So, no I'm not. The Night Palace boss gave me such trouble but
I wish I could play the game again to get way better times and
scores for me to aim at high scores on TSC... Ah well.
Q: Who would you recommend this game to? I'm currently wondering if
I should purchase it.
A: I would only recommend this to the following people: (a) a
HUGE fan of Sonic, (b) someone looking for a fun single-player
game for the Wii. You may or may not find the Multiplayer Games
appealing. It all depends on what your style is, really. I found
most of them to be enjoyable but it's no replacement for
Sonic Shuffle or any other Party game for that matter.
Q: Did you like this game?
A: It's a REALLY good Sonic game. The story ruined everything
and would you believe that the storyline was (basically) the
ONLY reason why I've decided not to buy it... I know... <_<
Q: Can you work on a guide with me?
A: Sure, I'd love to, just email me and let me know the specifics.
I may or may not decide to help depending on what the game is.
Q: Can I work on this guide with you? Pretty please!!!
A: Well, you can certainly contribute comments to my guide to
help me improve it but I'd like to keep this as an individual project.
Sorry, but thanks in advance.
Q: Can you help me with the ____ stage? I'm having trouble!
A: I am trying my best to update the stages and go as much detail
as I can but if you're really stuck, just e-mail me and I'll
see what I can do. But please make the subject "SATSR Walkthrough".
And please don't send me messages I can't even read... >_>
Q: How can I show my appreciation/hate for your guide?
A: Simply by rating it here on GameFAQS so I can know if I'm doing
a good job on this guide.
Q: Apparently, you’re a fan of the Party Game genre. How did you find
the mini-games?
A: Some of them would give Monkey Ball a run for its money but most
were less than okay. Most of them were way too short (case in point,
the Golf game) when they could’ve been so much more. If I had to
rate this mode compared to other Party game modes in other games,
for the sake of comparison, you can see how I found it and my
thoughts about it and other games that had a “Party” mode/element:
- Sonic and the Secret Rings: 7.5/10
- Rayman Raving Rabbids: 10/10
- Sonic Shuffle: 8.5/10
- Mario Party: 7.5/10
- Mario Party 2: 7.5/10
- Mario Party 3: Never tried it I don’t think
- Mario Party 4: 8/10
- Mario Party 5: 8.5/10
- Mario Party 6: 9/10
- Mario Party 7: 9.5/10
- Barnyard: 7.5/10
- Fuzion Frenzy: 7/10
- The Bible Game: 6.5/10
- Madagascar: 7/10
- SpongeBob SquarePants Lights, Camera, Pants: 8.5/10
Q: Your guide's not helpful at all!
A: Well, that's quite a claim. If you have ANY discrepancies, be
sure to email me at the address shown below. I will be glad to
hear you out...just don't be silly about it and keep in mind
the effort that went into the making of this guide.
Q: What's in YOUR Wii Collection?
A: I currently own Monkey Ball, Rayman and Wii Sports. I've rented
quite a few games, though, like Barnyard, Super Paper Mario,
Elebits, SSX Blur, and this. I just don't have the money, that's all.
Q: Quick: Rayman or Monkey Ball?!
A: I'm a big Monkey Ball fan but I've been an even longer Rayman
fan. I'm more devoted to Monkey Ball, so I bought it right away a
month after it came out. I bought Rayman 3-4 months after it came
out I believe. For 4 players, I can't recommend either cause I've
never tried either with more than one Wii-Remote (alternating, yes
but simultaneous, no). If you'll ALWAYS be playing by yourself,
I'd say Rayman. If you'll always have friends to play with and the
Set of Remotes to play with all 4, I'd recommend Monkey Ball, most
likely, although I have no first-hand experience...
Re: Rayman, though, the game is the hardest game to COMPLETELY master
of its genre (or any other game on the Wii for that matter, IMO).
Monkey Ball is VERY good also, it's just that I found more
replay value out of Rayman. If you want a quick rating see below.
Q: What are your opinions on (insert game name here)?
A: You'll know if I ever make an FAQ for one of the games, and
especially for the Wii, it's more than likely I will. But roughly,
for the games I've tried for the Wii:
-Rayman: 9.5/10
-Monkey Ball: 9/10
-Barnyard: 8/10 (One of the best based on an animated movie)
-Elebits: 9/10
-SSX Blur: 9.5/10
-Sonic and the Secret Rings: 8.5/10
-Wii Sports: 8/10
-Super Paper Mario: 7.5/10
(^ Would’ve rated it an 8 if it weren’t for the lack of Value)
-Happy Feet: 6/10
Q: What game are you planning on getting next?
A: Wii Play (I DESPERATELY need another Wii Remote), Elebits then
SSX Blur. I would have already gotten Sonic and the Secret

Rings but after I rented it, I decided not to get it anymore.
And to think I was REALLY hyped up over this game...
Q: Would you ever buy Super Paper Mario?
A: You kidding me? Nah.. I'm not going to waste like 60 bucks (CDN)
on that, considering I was near the end it the only replay value
I could foresee in gaining out of that game would be from the
exciting mini-games, but that won't captivate my interest for
too long... Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the game along the way
and it's definitely a step in the right direction for the series,
but it's just not long enough to capture my prolonged attention
as I'm sure many others will agree.
Q: What Wii games are you tracking that are in development?
A: I'm currently awaiting Mario Party 8 with eager anticipation but
I'm really stoked to finally try DDR for the first time with
Hottest Party. It sounds really cool. I'm also stoked over Mario
and Sonic at the Olympic Games, Animal Crossing, Super Mario
Galaxy and Brain Academy: Wii Degree (never tried as I don't
have a DS so it'll be interesting for me to try it). I may give
NiGHTS for the Wii a try but as I've only played him in Sonic
Riders, I'm not a huge fan... Also, recently, my interest in Mario
Strikers Charged has greatly renewed after watching the video that
showed off the online potential of the game.
Q: Aren't you on TSC?
A: Yep! C'mon over to Sonic Center for Sonic Competition if
you're interested. And, also, I'm currently contemplating adding
SatSR's Party divisions to the site for competition purposes.
Maybe you'll see it up sometime... Or not. <_<
Q: Are you on EliteScores as well?
A: Yep! Recently joined. Currently proud of my Monkey Wars records.
Head on over if you're interested in Monkey Ball or Wii Sports
competition.
Q: Weren't you head of a union over on GS...?
A: Yep... Surprised people still remember. Bet they'll be glad to
know I have so many world records for Sonic Riders now and I am
the current game champion over on TSC.
Q: Weren't you that guy that loves Sonic Shuffle/Blinx?
A: Yes, yes, all me. Still play them regularly. Someday Shuffle
will have a sequel; or at least a new Party Game (not like SATSR:
exclusively Party) would be REALLY nice.
Q: What's your favorite theme song from a game ever, right now?
A: I'd have to say Dreams of an Absolution from Sonic the Hedgehog.
And no, I've never tried the game... it's too bad I can't. Always
wanted to play Wave Ocean. :)
Q: What FAQ's can we look forward to soon?
A: I just did one for Rayman and Barnyard so next up on my list
is Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz.
