How to Cook?
First of all, before even thinking about cooking, you will obiviously need
a kitchen. It can be bought from Lute the peddler who comes each Holiday.
He can be found either at the Central Plaza, if there's no special event,
or in front of the Church. If you come see him at the Lake Poli on other
days he won't sell you anything. What you want to buy is some furniture
for you house called Handy Kitchen. With this kitchen you will have the
very basic kitchen that can use 2 ingredients at once and will receive
the cooking board. The handy kitchen cost only 800 gold.
If you want more cooking tools to be able to cook more differents stuff,
you will need to buy them from Lute. Each week Lute will sell differents
ustensils, he may for example sell the oven, pot and blender but not the
Steamer and the Frying pan. You simply have to wait till next week for
him to change his selection.
You have the option to buy:
Handy Oven --> Great Oven ---> Royal Oven
Handy Blender --> Great Blender ---> Mystical Blender
Handy Pot --> Great Pot ---> Super Pot
Handy Steamer --> Great Steamer ---> Master Steamer
Handy Frying pan --> Great Frying Pan ---> Legendary Frying Pan
Each first version of the ustensil can cook up to 2 ingredients and always
cost 800 gold. The Great version cost 1 000 gold and can cook up to 4
ingredient, and the best version cost 2 400 gold and can cook 6
ingredients,the maximum in the game.
The cutting board is like the default kitchen,
you can still cook things but you don't need any tools.
For having more than 2 slots for making food you will have to buy
a great kitchen for 4 and the Chef's Kitchen for 6.
The fridge is only a storage for food and serve no other purpose than to
store things the box can't.
Even if you want to own the Great Oven or any better ustensil than Handy,
you have to upgrade your kitchen. Now for a change you actually have to
see someone new, Kross. He will upgrade your kitchen for 10 000 gold
and 120 lumber. All kitchens he propose you serve the same use and none
is better than another, only the look change so feel free to save your
game before upgrading and see all the kitchen to choose the one you
prefer without wasting gold and lumbers. And if you ever feel like changing
you can pay him another 10 000 gold and 120 lumber.
After upgrading your kitchen you can buy from Lute the Great kitchen
for 2 000 gold then the Chef's Kitchen for 8 000. Luckily the kitchen
is the upgrade that has the lowest cost.
!Important note!
If you upgrade your kitchen but never bought the handy
kitchen from lute you will never be able to cook anything. You will only
have room for a bigger kitchen that's all, you still have to buy the
Handy Kitchen.

FAQ
Q. Can my food spoils if I don't put them in the fridge?
A. No; even if you have milk on you for 7 years, it will still be good
as new.
Q. Hey, I'd like my cooking skill at lvl 99 the fastest possible,
is there an easy way?
A. Yes there is and it's from making sashimi! If you buy the book from
Selphy you will have about 30 recipes that only require 1 ingredient
and will range from level 12 to 99. You can easily find fish by
fishing and will have an easy time to raise your cooking.
Q. Can I cook without the recipe book?
A. Even if I recommend having the book and it actually feel nice to know
what you will get you can make all the recipes without ever buying any
books. Meaning that if you use this FAQ for the ingredients you can
never buy a book and know all the stuff! BUT you still need to have
the EXACT or higher level of skill to cook it. Not 20 under.
Q. Can I cook something higher level then the level of cooking I have?
A. As long as it's 20 level higher you can, anything higher then 20 will
be an automatic failure. Unlike Forge or craft you don't get the
ingredients back.

Cooking Books
Most of the cooking books are bought from Selphy, the odd girl whose
hobby is reading books from dawn to night non-stop, with only one
exception; it is the first book you should ever get your hands on when
you try cooking because it holds a lot of lowlevel recipies. Rita will
be the one to hand you this book for free. You'll just have to talk
to her on another day than the one you meet her and after a little
while she will give the book to you.
There will be more books available as you advance in the game and
in the years, even if you have level 1 in cookiing and for example
no Hot Pot Selphy can still sell you the second hot pot book.
Low level is around 1-40, Mid level 30-70, High level 60-99
