Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles
Scoring Guide
This is a scoring guide to help everyone meet their benchmarks in
Resident Evil The Umbrella Chronicles.
This will let you know what you will need in each
level to obtain an “S” an “A” or “B”

Tips on achieving grades.
Clear Time:
Some levels require you to get a quick clear time. The way to do
this is to keep and eye on how many grenades are in your inventory.
The levels with a lot of zombies or monsters would be the best time
to use them, just so you can get through the level faster. You could
also bring a rocket launcher or grenade launcher to do this as well, so you
won’t have to waste your grenades.
Enemy Hits:
Enemy hits, or enemy kills, is how many creatures you manage to kill
while in that level. Some levels will spend a second or two looking into a
room full of zombies or monsters before quickly retreating. This would be
a good time to chuck a grenade into that room, so for those monsters you
won’t be able to shoot will still hit the floor. Once again you could also
use the rocket launcher or grenadelauncher to do this. Also, on Train Derailment
leaches count as kills,so if you grenade them or bring an SMG you’ll find it
easy to rack up the kills.
Critical Hits:
A lot of people seem to have problems with critical hits. First,
what is a critical hit? It’s the weak spot on a creature’s body. Your
crosshair will turn into a red dot letting you know that the creature
will definitely feel the bullet you send their way.Everything has weakspots
in which the red dot will appear, however, only zombies and crimson heads will
count as critical hits in your rating at the end of the level. A tip for getting
critical hits on the walking death is to aim for the tip of the head,
not the head itself. By doing this the red dot will appear more frequently.
If you really are getting stuck bring a magnum with you, this makes
the red dot appear more easily and will only take one shot to put them down.
Objects Destroyed:
This is probably easiest thing to do in the rating system, but you
still might have a problem with some levels. Tip, shoot everything you can!
There are parts on levels where you’ll just be walking without anything to
shoot at, this isn’t true. Anything that has a white crosshairon it is
destructible. This could be anything, lights, pictures, zombies, doors.
Go ahead and explore. You could always chuck a grenade into a room full
of objects to destroy them all.
Files:
I’m not much of finding files, there is an FAQ above this one for that.
remember that once you obtain certainly help your ratings so remember to
get as many files as you can. Also gernades will destroy everything
in a room, discovering hidden files.
