A. The signs are in Japanese, but when you point towards one of them
subtitles will appear at the bottom of the screen.

======================================================================
 1.3)- HUD
======================================================================

HUD or "head up display" is displayed around the edges of the screen.
It contains your health bar, ammo, weapons, ect. In Red Steel, the HUD
is as follows:

currently selected gun
5-3) Focus Meter- on the right side of the circle. This meter slowly
fills to represent your focus time.
5-4) Grenade count- bottom left side of the circle. Shows how many
grenades you have left.
5-5) Current Weapon- middle left side of the circle. Shows which
weapon (1 or 2) you are currently using

======================================================================
1.4)- Respect Points and Their Uses
======================================================================

Throughout the game, you have numerous opportunities to obtain respect
points.

============== 1.4.1)- Earning Respect Points ========================

Earning respect points is pretty simple.
1) After winning a sword battle, let the enemy live (shake the
nunchuk). This will earn you anywhere from 50 to 500 points.

2) Disarming an enemy (shooting there weapon causing them to drop it),
then telling them to surrender (moving the curser up and down on
screen). You can do this to any enemy, but it is more effective to
disarm the leader of a group (he will have a white circle above his
head) and telling him to surrender. If you do, every enemy in the room
will also surrender, earning you 50 points per person.

3) Completing a level with a good rank. The better the rank, the more
points you get.

The more points you earn, the higher your level will become:
Level --- Respect Points Needed
1 ------- 1,000
2 ------- 2,000
3 ------- 3,000
4 ------- 4,500
5 ------- 5,500
6 ------- 7,000
7 ------- 8,500
8 ------- 10,000
9 ------- 12,000
10 ------ 14,000

================== 1.4.2)- Using Respect Points =====================

You can check how many respect points you have by pressing + and
selecting rank in the menu. The higher your overall level, the more
stuff you will unlock at Harry's Bar and the Dojo. Chart:

Respect Level    Kajima's Shooting Range*   Otori's Sword Training*

* See sections 5)- and 6)- for more info.

======================================================================
 1.5)- Focus Time
======================================================================

Focus Time allows you to temporarily freeze time, making it easier to
disarm an opponent or to take him out in one shot.

You cannot freeze time forever, though. The amount of Focus Time you
have depends on the length of your Focus Meter (bottom right corner of
the screen). Your Focus Meter will grow depending on the amount of
respect points you have:

Level ------- Focus Time Effect
1 ----------- Meter Capacity +10%
2 ----------- Meter Filing Speed +10%
3 ----------- Meter Capacity +10%
4 ----------- Meter Filing Speed +10%
5 ----------- Meter Capacity +10%
6 ----------- Meter Filing Speed +10%
7 ----------- Meter Capacity +10%
8 ----------- Meter Filing Speed +10%
9 ----------- Meter Capacity +10%
10 ---------- Meter Filing Speed +10%

You cannot freeze time if your Focus Meter is empty. To fill the
meter, kill enemies, hit enemies in rapid succession, and/or get a
head shot on an enemy. The fuller the meter, the longer you can freeze
time for (THE METER DOES NOT HAVE TO BE FULL TO FREEZE TIME).

============ 1.5.1)- Obtaining the Focus Time Ability ================

You do not have access to the Focus Time ability until the beginning
of "The Path of the Katana Giri" chapter in story mode. At which point
Kajima will teach it to you, along with a quick tutorial.

============ 1.5.2)- Effects of Freezing Time ========================

To freeze time, hold the A button and quickly push the Wii remote
forward. At this time, your Focus Meter will appear at the top of the
screen and begin to drain; when it runs it, you will be forced out of
focus. To save some time for later, release the A button to willfully
come out of focus.

When in focus time, you cant turn left or right, the enemy you are
aiming for must be in the center of the screen in order to target him.

Your gun will not fire when you pull the trigger; instead it will mark
where the bullet will hit at ("painting" your target). Because of
this, if an enemy is moving, you have to aim ahead of where he is
going or else your bullets will miss.

To disarm and enemy, you have to aim for his rifle. Focusing makes
this easy. When focused, a box will appear around the opponents
weapon. Aim for that box, then exit focus time.

======================================================================
 1.6)- Sword Fights
======================================================================

Sword fights are what separate Red Steel from your normal FPS. When
you approach an enemy that wants to sword fight, you will
automatically put away your gun and draw your sword.

One thing to remember about sword fights is that the movements aren't
1:1. Meaning the sword will not move exactly how you swing the
controller. This make using special moves fairly difficult.

When in a sword fight, your HUD changes to this:

Top left---------------------------------------------------- Top right

OO  --Armor Bar-- 1                        4--Resistance Bar-- OO
OOOO -Health Bar- 2                     3--Enemy's Health Bar--OOOO
 OO                                                             OO
--Sword Integrity-- 5                   6--Enemy's Sword Integrity--

1) Armor Bar- show how much body armor you have left (if any).

2) Health Bar- shows how much health you have left. If this completely
empties, its game over.

3) Enemy's Health Bar- shows how much health your opponent has.

4) Resistance Bar- shows the enemy's resistance. You will not be able
to harm them until you deplete this bar.

5) Sword Integrity- Shows your swords condition. If this is hacked all
the way down, its game over.

6) Enemy's Sword Integrity- shows your enemy's swords condition.

================== 1.6.1)- Rules of a Sword Fight ====================

The rules of the game change when in a sword fight. For one thing,
your health no longer regenerates until after the fight.

Winning:
1) Empty your opponents health bar by hitting them.
2) Destroy your opponents sword by using power moves.

Losing:
1) Your health bar is depleted.
2) Your sword is broken.

Dodging:
To dodge, hold C and press any direction on the joy stick. This is
useful for getting the jump on enemies. If you dodge and attack
swiftly, they wont be able to block your attack.

Blocking:
To block, shake the nunchuk. If you block at just the right time, you
will throw your opponent off guard, allowing you to hit him multiple
times.

Destabilizing (a.k.a. breaking their stance):
Destabilizing is preformed by blocking a strike at the very last
second. If done correctly, the enemy should throw both his hands into
the air and be defenseless for a second. Be careful though, as the
enemy can break your stance as well. You'll know when it happens as
your screen will go all blurry for a second and you wont be able to
move.

Resistance Bar:
a resistance bar will appear when fighting a powerful opponent. When
the bar is full, you cannot harm them. You must first deplete the bar
before you can do any damage. In order to lower the bar, dodge, parry,
and hit his/her sword. The bar will not stay down forever. It will
regenerate after a certain amount of time, so finish the fight
quickly.

Power Attacks:
Sometimes, your opponent will use a power strike. BE CAREFUL! If you
try to block this attack, your sword will take damage. The only way to
defend against one is to dodge it. Note that when an enemy is goes to
use a power strike, their sword will glow pink and they will move very
slowly. This is your signal to move out of the way.

Breaking the enemy's sword:
1) To break their sword, hold Z and perform a power strike. If they
try to block the attack, their sword will take damage.
Power strikes include:

Hammer: hold Z and push the Wii remote and nunchuck down at the same
time.

Little Scorpion: hold Z and swing the Wii remote and nunchuk away from
each other.

2) dodge an opponents attack, then immediately shake the nunchuk.

Respect Points: 0 or more

Checkpoint...

Point at the fish it tells you to.

Checkpoint...
Cutscene...

Follow Miyu. While your at it, this is a good time to get a feel for
the controls. Practice side-stepping and turning.
After walking a little ways a guard stops you...

Cutscene...

Follow the guard into the room. Around the corner and get knocked out.
Walk over to the table, flip it over and grab the pistol (P99)

Walk to the other side of the room and enter the door. Around the
corner and through another door. As soon as you walk in, an enemy will
come through the door ahead. Kill him and grab the ammo on the
counter. Walk around the counter and 2 more enemies will come through
the door. Kill them and proceed through the door they came out of.

Follow the hallway to another room where one of Sato's guards has 2
enemies pinned. Kill the enemies and walk up to the guard. Follow the
guard and kill the 2 enemies in this area. At some point during or
after the fight, 2 more enemies will break through the window at the
other side of the room. Kill them and walk through the door beside the
window (show offs).

About half way down the hall is another enemy. This one turns and runs
(I tried to kill him before, but I don't think you can...) follow him
into the next room.

In this room there are 3 enemies at a far distance away. Use the zoom
feature if you like, but in any case take them out. Walk up the stairs
behind them where 2 more enemies await. Kill them and walk through the
black door on the right.

Checkpoint...

Walk down the stairs and take a right at the boxes. Part way down the
side hall is a window. Look through to see 3 enemies in the kitchen.
Pick them off by shooting through the window. Walk back down the hall,
around the corner and through the double doors. As you approach the
door at the end of the kitchen, an enemy comes in wielding an Uzi.
Kill him and take his weapon (even though Uzis are useless and I would
normally advice against it).

Reload the Uzi and pick up all the extra ammo for it in the next room.
Now carefully shoot the propane tanks in the next room (careful not to
get to close). Switch out to your P99 and pick off the 2 guys on the
staircase. Jump over the rubble you created. Shoot the guy on the
staircase below you. Walk up the stairs. After walking up two flights,
you are ambushed by 3 enemies up above and 2 below (they burst through
the door you passed). Take them out in any order and proceed up the
stairs.

Go down the hall at the top and through the "WARNING Authorized
personal only" door. You come into a generator room and start hearing
a lot of gunshots... don't worry, they aren't shooting at you... yet.
Follow the path around and through another door.

Turn to the left and shoot the guy that is threatening Sato (don't
worry, he shoots at you, not him).

Cutscene...

Turn right and go up the ladder. There will now be 2 "snipers"
shooting at you. One on the right (Uzi) and one on the left (shotgun).
Pick them off then jump off the AC unit you are standing on. turn
right. 2 enemies will ambush you (again) 1 Uzi, and 1 shotgun. keep
your distance and pick them off. Walk forward and grab the one guys
shotgun (in exchange for you Uzi). By now there should be 4 more guys
shooting at you. Depending on where you are, it is hard to track them
down, so I cant pinpoint them for you.

After, go around the corner toward where you killed your "shotgun
sniper" 2 more enemies will come out of the door ahead. Kill them (and
pick up the shotgun ammo) and proceed to the door. Wait for Sato to
catch up and open the door for you. Follow Sato to the elevator.

======================================================================
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Samurai Rank
Time: under 20:00
Accuracy: 50% or more
Respect Points: 250 or more

Checkpoint...
Cutscene...

The elevator will start getting shot at. Face the door and crouch
under it.

Sword fight!
The first sword fight of the game. Your options are limited as you
don't have a tanto to block with. Follow the instructions given to win
the fight. 50 points if you spare him.

Follow Sato a few feet down the hall. 2 enemies will come out of a
door on the right. Kill them and move through the door. Use your sword
to clear the wreckage and proceed through the next door.

Sword fight!
Another very easy fight. Follow the instructions. After, hack and
slash to victory. 50 points if you spare him.

Go through the door he came out of. Down the hall, through another
door, left turn, down the hall on the right is another door. Enter and
3 more enemies will be waiting at eh far end of the room. Take them
out and move to where they were. Turn left and 5 more men will attack
from the bar below. Kill them and move through the door they came out
of.

Down the hall, through the door, turn left, enter the door on the
right.

Checkpoint...
Cutscene...

Through the door behind Sato.

Cutscene...

Pick up the body armor on the table. Walk over to the balcony and kill
everyone below until the timer runs out. Its not hard, so no strategy
needed. If you are running low on ammo, go down and pick some up.
About 13 guys will come into the room in that 200 second time limit.
You must prevent them from entering the door that Sato went through.

After, switch out your Uzi for a shotgun if you haven't already. Then
go through the door at the bottom of the stairs. Switch back to the
P99 and enter the door on the left. Walk into the main part of this
room then turn around. Enter the small door.

Take the door on the left to see a guy rush through the door on the
other side of the room. Draw your shotgun and run after him. There are
3 guys wielding shotguns in this room, take them out quickly. Proceed
through the door on the right. Prepare for a shotgun battle royal with
8 enemies in and around the washing machines. Stay on the move and
watch your back.

After, go through the door on the right at the other side of the room.
You will face 6 more enemies all wielding shotguns in this room. Move
through and eliminate them all. Enter the door on the left. Enter the
door on the right. Turn right to find 3 more guys with shotguns. Kill
them and move through the glass door at the end of the hall. Turn
left.

Sword fight!
This fight is suppose to test what you've learned in the previous two
fights... however it does nothing of the sort. Hack and slash your way
through, there is no real need to block or dodge. 50 points if you
spare him.

After, 2 men will come through the door behind your opponent. Kill
them and go through the same door. Walk down the hall

Sword fight!
This one is slightly harder, but nothing special. Hack and slash, with
a few parries every so often will win you the day. 50 points if you
spare him.

Enter the elevator. Switch out to your shotgun.

Checkpoint...

Enter the door at the end of the room.

Cutscene...

You now have 50 seconds to catch up with the cars. I will say this
now, KEEP YOUR SHOTGUN DRAWN AND LOADED AND DON'T STOP FOR ANYTHING.
Another 50 seconds is added for each flight of stairs you go up. Enter
the door on the right. Turn left and enter the door. Up the stairs,
through the door, and turn right. Kill the guy and go through the door
he came from.

Kill the 2 guys on the stairs without pausing, reload while walking,
through the door, turn right, kill the guy at the end of the hall.
Through the door he came from, kill the 2 guys on the stairs, reload
and through the door.

Turn right, kill the 2 guys at the end of the hall, through the door
on the right, kill the 2 guys on the stairs, reload and through the
door at the top.

Turn right and... hey! No guys to kill. Through the door on the right,
up the stairs and... still no guys to kill! Switch out to your P99 and
enter the door at the top of the stairs.

Checkpoint...
Short cutscene...

Now fire wildly at the car.

Cutscene...

Sword fight!
Hack and slash, parry when needed. Still nothing special. 50 points
for sparing him.

Checkpoint...
Cutscene...

Open the door and don't move! Now carefully pick off one of the guys
at the bar. After, 3 more enemies will come after you. Some people
will try to pick you off from the room above, but ignore them and move
behind the bar and through the door.

Switch out to the shotgun and go up the stairs to the left. Its time
for some revenge. Follow the hall around and annihilate the 3 guys in
the hall. To through the door on the right, then the door on the left.
Switch out your P99 for the MP 412 if you feel inclined to do so. Now
grab the key card on the wall and retrace your steps.

There are 3 enemies in the room below and 1 in the hall (who uses a MP
412 and can give you some ammo) which you are in now. Either draw your
shotgun and kill them as you go, or use your pistol and pick them all
off.

In any case, make your way back to the room with guy in the green
suit. Use the key card on the glowing box on the right side of the
room. Enter the door that opens.

You can terrorize the gangster in the hottube if you want. Anyway,
move up the ramp on the far side of the room. And enter the door at
the top. Go right to learn you need another key card. So take the door
on the left.

2 enemies await you in the hallway. Kill them and take the first door
on the right to find.... nothing. Walk through the room and someone
will start shooting you through the glass to the right (perverts
under_under).
Shoot back and jump through the now shattered window.

Pick up the MP 412 ammo if you need it and shoot the glowing box. 2
enemies will enter the room you came from. Kill them and exit the door
to the right.

Back in the main hall, turn left and enter the door. 2 more enemies
await. Kill them and move through the door on the right. Keep going
until you reach a purple/grey room with a disco ball. Shoot the blue
glass at the other end to find another security room. Kill the guy
inside and hop in. pick up the body armor and shoot the glowing box
again.

Exit the room through the door. Turn right and follow the hall all the
way around and enter the final door on the right. Turn left and enter
the now-unlocked door.

Checkpoint...

Open the door in front of you.

Cutscene...

Now pick off the 3 enemies and proceed up the stairs. Once at the top,
2 more enemies appear through the door that Angel went through. Kill
them and look over the edge. 2 more enemies are now where you first
entered the room. Pick them off.

Enter the door Angel went through. Kill the guy that waits there and
shoot out the glass. Jump through where the glass once was.

Exit the elevator and enter the door on the left. 5 enemies await you.
They wield Type 12s, shotguns, and Uzis. Don't take them lightly! Grab
the body armor on the sofa and kill them quickly. After, switch out
one of you guns for a Type 12 and pick up all the ammo you can.
Another suit of body armor awaits you in the room with a vending
machine. Now move through the door to the left of the vending machine.

3 men will assault you at point plank range with Uzis and a shotgun.
Kill them and move left.

Checkpoint...

Follow the hall until another enemy bursts through a door wielding a
shotgung. Kill him and go through the door he came from. 3 more
enemies will ambush you, all wielding shotguns. Kill them as fast as
possible and inspect the stalls. One of them contains body armor.

Continue down the next hall. Yet another shotgun wielding enemy will
attack from behind the desk on the left. Turn and enter the room. 2
Uzis and 2 shotguns will begin firing at you in this room. Take them
out using whatever you can find as cover. Enter the door opposite the
pool. Follow the hallway.

Checkpoint...

Continue forward.

Short cutscene...

The man you saw is wielding a Type 12 and cannot be killed until you
kill the other 4 shotgun wielding enemies in the room. DO NOT ENTER
THE ROOM! You will be killed in a matter of seconds. Instead, use the
doorway for cover then jump out and fire your shotgun into the room.

If you haven't switched out to the Type 12 yet, do it now. Open the
door to find Angel. Walk up to her for a cutscene and an ambush.

Kill the guy that comes through the door. Chase Angel up the stairs.

Checkpoint...

Enter the two doors. Using the door way for cover, pick off the 3
enemies below with the Type 12. use the stairs through the door and to
the right (ok, you kind of just fall off, but you get the idea).
Approach the car.

Turn right and walk forward.

Sword fight!
Ok, well, he uses a bat, but w/e. This is the first of many sword
fights that have to be beat a special way. He will use power strikes
that you have to dodge and counter. If you try to block, he will
damage your sword and you in one hit. 50 points for sparing.

Now, go through the door he came out of. Follow the hall to the next
door. Enter to hear some "employees" talking. You can stand and listen
if you want, or charge around the curtain and kill them. Either or,
there are 2 of them right around the curtain with 2 more in the next
room. Another 2 will come through the door near the second set. They
all wield shotguns and P99.

Enter the door the reinforcements came through. Grab some ammo if
needed and go up the stairs.

Checkpoint...

Go through the door. There are 7 enemies total. 1 on the ledge with
you, 3 on the ground below, and 3 up on the ledge across the from you.
Use a pistol or (if you still have it) the Type 12 to take them out.

After, jump down below and  "use" the glowing box beneath the crane.
Now turn around and head for the door to the right. 1 more enemy will
appear above you. Take him out. Enter the door and go back up the
stairs. Go through the door (again) and 2 more guys will start
shooting at you. 1 from near the crane, the other from the window to
the right of the first. Pick them off.

Follow the ledge around to the crane and jump on it. carefully walk
across and jump through the window on your right. Follow the hallway
and open the door on the right. Body armor, shotgun and Type 12 ammo
await. These should be your 2 weapons for right now, so stock up.

Exit and enter the red door on the right.

Checkpoint...

Enter the next red door. Run through the next small room. All those
barrels you see are explosive. If one goes off, that whole room will.
At the bottom of the stairs, pick off the guy under the car. 6 more
enemies will now run after you. Use the terrain to your advantage, the
red and yellow barrels, cars, and forklifts are all explosive. If an
enemy hides near one, one shot from the Type 12 will send him flying.

Go up the stairs opposite the ones you came in on. enter the door.
Then the next door. The guy in the shower should surrender. If not,
kill him. grab the key and head back to the explosive room. 4 more
guys will enter the room from the left. Kill them using explosives and
snipes. Enter the hall they came through.

In this room there are 3 men on the ground and 3 on the far side above
you. Again, use explosions and snipes, and don't try to hide behind
anything.... its most likely explosive.

Walk up to what appear to be stairs leading to where the "snipers"
were. It wont let you up. Turn to the right to see two glowing handles
beneath a raised car. "use" both of them to create stairs to get up on
the balcony. Some body armor and MP 412 ammo are in this room. Exit
through the red door.

Checkpoint...

Down the stairs and through the door. Quickly and carefully look
through the window to the left. Pick off that guy. 8 more enemies are
in the room, or will enter the room through the door on the left and
on the far right. Pick them off through the window (using explosives
where necessary) and watch your back; 2 of them may sneak through the
door to your right.

After, exit through the door to your right. Here you will find a lot
of SCAR ammo. I prefer to keep the Type 12, but do as you will.

Go through the door on the far right side to find some armor and more
SCAR ammo. Exit and go through the door strait ahead. Follow the hall
and go through the blue door.

Press the button on the other side of the truck.

Checkpoint...

Jump up on the back of the truck and switch for the SCAR and infinite
ammo. Duck down and prepare to be shot at from all sides. Stay ducked
and shoot at anyone that pops there head up. When the truck stops,
look over the top to see one guy way off in the distance. Kill him.

Now get up and kill the two guys on either side of your truck and the
one way on the other side under his car. Switch back to the Type 12 or
keep the SCAR, its up to you. Anyway, hop off the back of the car and
proceed to the right. Enter the blue door.

Grab the body armor and proceed up the stairs. More SCAR and Uzi ammo,
as well as a switch. Pull the switch and go back down the stairs.

Checkpoint...

Go through the door.

Sword fight!
Extremely easy. Just follow what the message tells you. 50 points for
sparing.

Enter the door he came from, then the door at the end of the hall.

Checkpoint...

Turn right and enter the green door.

Sword fight!
Or... lead pipe fight. Anyway, he uses power strikes, so doge and
attack. Alternately, break his sword by dodging and shaking the
nunchuk. 100 points for sparing.

Enter the blue double door behind him.

Checkpoint...

Enter the red doors. Proceed left and pick up the body armor. Turn
back and follow the path until you are behind the forklift. Look up at
the rafters to spot an enemy. Pick him off then quickly move before
the forklift explodes. Shoot the boxes that block you path. Turn to
find 5 enemies plus 2 up above you. After clearing the floor you are
on, proceed forward and shoot the boxes to the left of the cart.

Walk forward to find yourself in the sights of 4 enemies. Most are
above you and will migrate down the stairs to fight you. The worst
part is they turn the floodlights on above you, so its hard to see
them when they are above you. Your best bet is to quickly move up the
stairs and kill them there.

Once at the top of the stairs, there is a short cutscene followed by 2
more enemies in the skybox where Ryuichi was. Pick them off and
proceed to follow the path to where they were. Walk around the desk
and through the two doors.

Short cutscene and a lot of SCAR ammo are in this room walk toward the
elevater and turn around to find a door.

Checkpoint...

Enter the door ahead. Short cutscene. You now have 140 seconds to win
a sword fight and find the proper door.

Walk to the end of the scaffolding and kill that guy. Walk down and
toward the door that Ryuichi went through.

Sword fight!
REMEMBER YOUR TIME LIMIT! Don't waist time. Take him out as fast as
possible. Use direct attacks and parry only if necessary. He will get
a couple of shots in, but not enough to kill you. 100 points for

You have to wait for the guys to finish talking before you can do
anything. After the one opens the doors, he sees you and runs. Draw
your weapon and jump out of the truck. There are 5 guys scattered
about this room. Kill them (using explosions when appropriate) and
inspect one of the trucks for an MP 412 and a shotgun. Switch out
whatever weapons you have for these and pick up the ammo around the
room.

Jump on the conveyer belt to exit. Carefully use your pistol to pick
off 2 guys in the next room before entering (walk backwards to counter
the conveyer belt). Enter the room and hop off the belt where the
first guy was. Carefully walk around the left side of the box to find
another enemy. Kill him. now again, carefully navigate around the
right side of the room killing the reaming 5 enemies as you make your
way to the skybox.

Up the stairs and into the box. You will find some body armor and Mp
412 ammo. Press the button to the right of the table. Walk out onto
the ledge and pick off the 4 guards that are now in the room. Use the
MP 412's 3x zoom function.  After, walk back down the stairs and hop
on the first eye level conveyer belt you see. It should lead to a door
with a glowing light above it.

Sword fight!
Erm, bat fight. w/e. He is slow and uses power strikes. Hack and
slash, dodge when necessary (though he may not get a swing in). 50

Grab the SCAR if you like and proceed through the doors. Try to pick
off someone before the real battle starts in this room. There are 11
people in this room and 4 forklifts. Make use of the later. stay where
you are and let them come to you. Watch your ammo supply. If you run
out of ammo, switch to whatever weapon happens to be near by. There
aren't really any good places to hide, so good luck.

After, use the elevator on the far side of the room (it will look like
chain mesh with a glowing button beside it near a forklift.)

Switch to your shotgun (if you still have it) as a shotgun guy
assaults you as soon as the elevator stops. Enter the door he came
from.

Checkpoint...

Enter the door. Stop and kill the guy in front of you. Switch out one
of your weapons for the AE Rifle. Practice zooming in then enter
the next door. Down the hall, through the door.

Short cutscene. Stay up on the scaffolding and pick off all 7 guys
below. Walk down the down the two flights of stairs and an enemy with
a shotgun will rush you. Kill him. Now 3 more enemies will be on the
floor below. Pick off the man under the planes rear wing first, he has
a AE Rifle. If he hits you, back off up against the wall behind
you until you health recovers.

Go down even more stairs and turn left. Jump through the window to
claim some body armor, then jump back through and proceed to Miyu.

Cutscene...

Shoot the guy that comes into the room.

Cutscene...

Enter the door to your left. Jump down to find a lot of SCARS. Pick
them up if you want, but I prefer not to. Enter the double doors
behind you.

Checkpoint...

Kill the guy in front of you. Walk up and grab some grenades. Read how
to use them. Practice a couple of times, then move to the steel grate
to your left. Roll a grenade down the hole to kill the enemy, then hop
in.

Walk forward and an enemy with an Uzi will rush you. Continue forward
and 3 more guys will assault you. Keep your distance and either pick
them off, or throw a grenade. Proceed down the winding hall.

Cutscene...

Sword fight!
Three is no easy way to beat this guy. Parrying works better then
dodging, as he doesn't use power strikes, yet you cant knock him off
guard. So parry and attack. 100 points for sparing.

Go through the "door" he come through.

Checkpoint...

Proceed down the winding hall. One enemy with a shotgun will rush you,
while one with a SCAR holds you off. Use everything you have, but
don't walk forward! As soon as you do, another shotgun guy and one
with a MP 412 will appear and rush you. Take the first two out, then
proceed to take on the second two.

Proceed farther down the hall, another SCAR is firing at you. Pick him
off and continue. Another SCAR awaits you around the corner. At this
time, a shotgun guy will come up behind you. Take them both out
quickly, as there is nowhere to hide.

Around the corner and 4 more guys assault you. Take them out with
grenades. Take a right and pick up the body armor then proceed forward
through the door.

Checkpoint...

Open the door and up the ladder. Pick off the sniper above you and
collect the grenades. Round the corner to find more grenades. Look
around the boxes to find two small planes (fyi, the planes are
explosive, so be careful). To the right of those planes way in the
back are 2 more enemies. Pick them off. 2 more guys will come in as
reinforcements and hide behind the same boxes. Two more guys come in
now. Their movement is more irrational, and worse yet they throw
grenades! Blow up the planes at this point just in case. Carefully
find and emanate them both.

Proceed through the door all these people came through.

Checkpoint...

Open the next door.

Cutscene...

Sword fight!
Again, there is no easy win. He doesn't use power strikes, and dodging
doesn't accomplish anything. Parry and strike. 100 points for sparing.

Quickly run to the building he came from. Shoot the planes to make
them blow up, then peak around the corner and shoot the big truck
parked there. There are 3 men at the end of the ally where the truck
is parked. They are up on a fire escape. They wield MP 40s, which are
much deadlier then they look. Carefully go down the ramps and in
between the charred airplanes.  There is ammo and armor there. Now go
behind the second air plane and carefully look over the windshield to
pick them off.

Now move up the ally and shot the barrels so they don't kill you.
When you get to the bottom of the stairs, look up to see a window with
an enemy in it. Pick him off and proceed up the stairs and through the
door.

Checkpoint...

Follow the hall and through the door. Quickly grab the sniper ammo,
turn and crouch between the two tables. Flip them over and use them
for cover. There are 4 enemies shooting at you from the right of the
door. Pick them off starting with guy on the top left, he has a sniper
rifle.

Proceed to the stairs carefully. One of the people below holds a
AE Rifle, and the rest aren't pushovers either. Use your crouching
ability and snip them from your room. There are 4 total. The sniper
hides behind some explosive barrels on the left side of the room.

After, walk down the stairs and enter the 2 doors. Down some more
stairs and through another door.

Checkpoint...

Follow the long hallway until you a ladder. Climb it and...

a sniper in the window that (hopefully) hasn't noticed you yet. Pick
him off. Now 5 enemies will appear below the sniper you just killed.
From you position, you should be able to see their heads, which is all
you need. Careful though, there is also 2 guys off on a dock to your
left.

Remember that first guy you killed? Yeah, he had a AE Rifle. Pick it
up before continuing forward. Walk down the stairs in front of the
forklift. As you are walking past one of the boxes, someone will start
shooting at you from the first crane to your left. Duck behind a box
for cover and pick him off. Around the corner and yet another enemy is
on the very same crane. Same as before, duck and pick.

Up the stairs and press the glowing button. As soon as the crate to in
front/to your right is lifted, an enemy will charge out. Kill him and
around the corner is another enemy behind a box. Follow the hall.

Checkpoint...

Jump up on the boxes and climb the ladder. As soon as you get off the
ladder, shoot one of the exploding barrels below. There are 5 enemies
down there, try to take them all out with explosions. After, one more
enemy comes as reinforcements through one of the locked doors. Kill
him and enter that door. In the is some Type 89 ammo, as well as full
body armor.

Checkpoint...

Open the double doors. Ok, this room is tricky to document. Basically,
there are 2 armed patrols on each floor. Make your way to the top
floor, killing everyone in your way.

Once on the top floor, jump into one of the garbage scoops and ride it
all the way down. Lots of enemies will ambush you on your way down,
just stay ducked and shoot the ones you can. Continue along until you
enter a tunnel and your ride stops. Jump off to the conveyer belt
below.

Checkpoint...

Down the ramp and turn right before you reach the chemical spray.
Shoot the guy in white and pick off the two men that appear in the
room above and in front of you. Activate the switch the white guy was
guarding, then get back on the belt.

This time, turn left before the chemical spray. Shoot the guy in white
and pick off the two men that appear in the room above and in front of
you. Activate the switch the white guy was guarding, then get back on
the belt.

Turn right before you reach the incinerator, there is 1 enemy with a
Type 12 guarding this platform. Quickly kill him and shoot out the
sparking grate behind him. Now crawl through the air duct.

Checkpoint...

Follow it all the way to the end, then fall out. The large door in
front of you will shut and there is an enemy with a Type 12 waiting to
the left. Kill him, grab some grenades and enter the door.

This Room is hard! To start, pick off the guy in white way on the
other side of the room as soon as you enter. There are roughly 12
enemies all wielding Type 12's and Colt .45's while running around
explosive pipes. You figure it out.

After, enter the now open double doors opposite the way you came.

Checkpoint...

Enter the double doors. The keycard is behind the desk to your left.
Grab it and prepare to be ambushed by 4 men wielding MP 412s. kill
them using the lockers for cover and enter the door they came from.

Left, right, up the stairs and through the green doors. Use the
keycard to open the door. This guy has some common sense and
surrenders. Pull the lever on the right.

Checkpoint...

Ok, enter the large creaky (a sign of things to come) doors that open.
All these pipes are explosive! Be careful and don't use them for
cover! Pick off somebody before they know you're there... don't really
care who. 8 enemies will now attack you. 2 on the same level as you, 5
on the level above and in front of you, and 1 above and behind you.
Try to take them all out from a distance (still got that AE Rifle,
right?). With that out of the way, proceed forward and to the right
until you come to some stairs. Pick up the body armor under them and
walk up.

Walk forward and to the left. Now look towards the door you came from.
See that pipe spanning the gap? Yeah, I think you know where this is
going... find where it starts and carefully walk across. 2 enemies on
the other side will ambush you about half way across. Don't worry,
they are bad shots. Keep your cool, and pick them off (focus time
helps).

Congrats, you now have 50 seconds to exit this area. Get off the pipe
and turn right. Pull the lever and go through the door. Follow the
scaffolding and...

Checkpoint...

You now have 300 seconds (not sure how that works, but I'm not

Now climb the ladder behind him. Walk along the pipe to the right and
jump in the elevator. Use the lever to make it move. Hope you didn't
waste to much time on the sword fight, cus you still got a ways to go.
Don't bother trying to shoot anyone on your way up, btw.

When the elevator stops, shoot the 2 enemies (again, they are poor
shots) and jump in the hole in the pipe on the left.

Checkpoint...

Shoot out the screen in front of you. Run forward ignoring everyone
that's shooting at you. When you reach the fan...

Short cutscene...

You are now out side after a completely realistic focused explosion
that totally wouldn't have killed you under_under

*cough* anyway, follow the wooden planks around.

Checkpoint...

Go into the room to the right of the forklift. Turn left to find some
Colt .45s. Now turn and shoot out the chains on the suspended ships
(aim for the glowing circles). Use them to jump across the water. Up
the stairs and to the right to find body armor, an Uzi, and some
grenades. Through the door ahead on the left. Follow the hall around.

Checkpoint...
Cutscene...

Shoot the 4 enemies that assault you (they're not that hard). Follow
the road until it splits, take a left and turn left to find a ladder.
Climb it and jump off the other side of the crate. Up the stairs.

Cutscene...

Turn left, onto the boat and up the ladder. 3 men are waiting for you
and your wondrous ability to freeze time. Go down the stairs behind
them to find 2 more enemies waiting. Continue to the right between the
boxes. 1 enemy lies at the end of the path. Around the corner and yet
3 more enemies await you (your ninja abilities really draws in a crowd
huh?). go through the passage behind them.

Checkpoint...

Continue around the forklift. Ryuichi and 2 of his body guards will
start firing at you from the platform above. First, take out his
guards (I don't remember telling you to drop that AE Rifle :P).
Now for the boss. Hit him with one round from a sniper and he will
retreat up the stairs. You now have 40 seconds to catch him. Follow
him by jumping on the boxes to reach the platform, then running up the
stairs.

Sword fight!
Remember, he wiped the floor with you back in the US... time to repay
the favor. There really isn't one move that will win you the day. He
is fast, so stay on your toes. He will use a mix of power and regular
attacks. Parrying does nothing. Damage his sword when you can, and
attack him when you can. That Hammer is a bit to slow, and rarely
connects.  Keep at it and eventually you will lower one of his bars to
zero. 750 points for sparing (not that you have a choice).

Checkpoint...

Back in Harry's Bar. Go back up to Harry's office (via elevator).

Cutscene...

Back down to the bar. Ok, you can do the next 4 missions in any order
you want. I've just listed them in the order the game puts them.
First, though, I would recommend going down to the shooting range to
get some firepower, then to the Dojo to learn some new moves (if you
can, see the sections below).

Checkpoint...

To take the Fish market mission, talk to the guy on the left side of
the bar.

Checkpoint...

Walk up to the bar.

Cutscene...

3 enemies wielding Uzis will assault you. Use the bar for cover if you
feel the need. Duck under the partition to your left and continue
through the kitchen. Enter the grey door near the wine. 1 enemy will
assault you with a shotgun on your right. Kill him and press the
button.

Checkpoint...

A white van (or should I say APC) pulls up. 3 enemies will rush you
with shotguns. You can use the boxes for cover. Around the corner to
find 5 more people looking to kill you. 2 of them jump in the flatbed
truck on the right. Shoot the truck a few times and watch the
fireworks. The other 3 are pretty easy. As you walk forward, 2 more
guys will round the corner ahead. Kill them quickly, as they are at
close range. As you round the corner, yet 2 more enemies will attack
with shotguns at point blank range.

Keep an eye on the window to the right. As you walk past, 1 enemy with
a shotgun will start firing at you. Kill him, but DO NOT GO IN THE
ROOM! It looks like a good vantage point for the next room, but its
not as enemies will sneak up and enter through the door behind you.
Instead, pick all 9 enemies off from the main hallway. Now enter the
small room to claim your body armor and Type 12. Walk to the other
side of the big room and hop up on the ledge. Approach the door.

Sword fight!
He is very fast. He will break your stance if you attack to much.
Blocking will buy you some time, but wont really do anything. You cant
damage his sword either. Instead, use the Hammer to bring him down
quickly. 100 points for sparing.

Go through the door he came out of. Up the stairs.

Checkpoint...

2 men with Uzis will attack from the right. The only thing to use as
cover is the door way. After, jump out one of the windows. If you are
feeling brave, go get that body armor on the left. If not, shoot out
the next window and jump in the room.

Sword fight!
This guy is actually easier then the one you faced earlier. His health
goes down very slow, and you cant break his sword using normal means.
Instead, use the hammer to break his sword in about 5 hits. 300 points
for the win.

Checkpoint...

Follow Fugu.

Cutscene...
Checkpoint...

Follow the path around until you come to a bunch of boxes. Turn left
ahead and prepare for several waves of enemies. First wave: 4 men.
Take them out from where you are using the boxes for cover. Second
wave: 3 men. Advance slightly and use the pillars for cover. Third
wave: 3 enemies: advance a little more, but don't be afraid to fall
back if needed. Final wave: 2 enemies will appear as you approach the
steps. Kill them using the forklift as an explosive and move up the
stairs. Follow the open doors until...

Cutscene...

Don't waist your bullets trying to escape.

Cutscene...
Checkpoint...

Turn to your left and flip the desk. Duck down into the sewer. Follow
the path to a ladder. Climb up and jump down. Grab the colt .45 and
shoot the lock on the door.

Checkpoint...

Go up the stairs. From this vantage point, aim for the man with the
white circle above his head and force him to surrender. Use the
"doorway" for cover if necessary. 2 more enemies will come through the
door way on your right. Kill them using the tables for cover. Enter
the door they came through.

Careful! 2 enemies on your right will attack at close range with
shotguns and grenades. Make them surrender to claim some body armor.
Go through the door behind them.

Checkpoint...

Down the stairs. One guard will come strolling up unaware of you. You
got one chance to take him out before he alerts everyone else. In any
case, walk left and take out the 3 enemies that attack. Round the
corner and take out 3 more enemies. One of them uses grenades, so stay
alert. 7 more enemies await around the corner. Again, 1 of them will
use grenades. After, duck in the room to your left and grab some body
armor.

Continue along the road and turn right. Enter the double doors.

Checkpoint...

Another set of double doors and there are 3 enemies hiding behind
fish. Kill them and proceed forward to trigger 3 reinforcements to
enter from the left. Kill them and proceed up the stairs. Around the
hall and through the door.

Fire a warning shot to make them all run for cover, then shoot the
generators they hid behind to make them explode. Enter the door on the
left and pull the handle. Back track through the hall.

Checkpoint...

3 enemies will, again, be hiding behind raw fish. Make their leader
(on the right side) surrender and continue (note: he will drop a key
card that you can use back in the computer room to get some body armor
if you feel inclined to do so).

Go all the way back till your on the road again. Turn right and press
the button.

Checkpoint...

Open the door to see 9 of enemies scatter. Stay sharp and hunt them
down. 1 more enemy will appear on the scaffolding above and in front
of you during the fight. Enter the door that was below said sniper.

You now have a sword like thing.

Sword fight!
He uses power strikes. Dodge and attack. His health will go down very
slowly, but you cant break his sword so deal with it. 200 points for
sparing.

Enter the door behind him.

Checkpoint...

Enter the next door and follow the hall.

Sword fight!
He uses power strikes for the fist part of the battle, and his sword
breaks easier then his health. Dodge and break. Once his (or his
sword) is weakened, he will switch to normal attacks. A couple of
hammers should finish him off. 100 points for sparing.

Boy, this looks familiar. under_under
6 enemies will attack. A leader is somewhere in the back, but he is a
pain to get to, so don't worry about it. use pillars and explosives to
win. Up the stairs and into the ship.

Checkpoint...

There are many enemies inside the honeycomb called a ship. I cannot
give you exact directions or locations, as the enemies will move
about. Watch you back, look for buttons, and find the boss.

Cutscene...
Checkpoint...

Forward, around the corner, and into the door by the janitor.

Checkpoint...

There are 4 people in this room. 1 behind the counter, 2 right in
front of you, and 1 down a small passage to the right. After, 6 more
enemies will come after you from the room behind the curtains. Go in
and use the slots for cover. At some point, the leader will come
through the door in the back left. Kill him or make him surrender.
Either or, you get a key card. Go through the door he came from. There
is 1 person in this room off to the right. Kill him and use the
elevator to the left.

Checkpoint...

Down the hall, through the door, then through the curtains that look
like a door. 3 enemies will attack from behind tables. Try to make
their leader surrender to earn some body armor. As you approach the
doors in the back, someone will run by and shoot through them. They
wont hit you, so continue through the door and up the ladder.

Checkpoint...

Sword fight!
He uses power strikes for the first part of the battle. Doge and break
his sword. When his sword is just one hit away from breaking, he will
begin using swift strikes. Use the hammer or little scorpion. He will
try to block it eventually, and his sword will break. 200 points for
wining.

Checkpoint...
Cutscene...

Think he is a nutcase yet? No? oh, you will. Very soon.
Ok, turn right and use the vending machine. Shoot out one of the
windows and jump through. Turn right and go through a hidden passage
behind the snow blower. Follow the hall until you reach a bunch of
boxes. Get as far away as you can and shot the bunny barrel on the
left. Best make note of what happens. Continue down the hall.

Cutscene...

You now have sword. Enter the door behind the bunny.

Checkpoint...

Turn left and jump through the hole in the wall. A lot of enemies will
now be shooting at you. Use the boxes for cover and shoot the glowing
bunny bombs. This should kill most, if not all of them. Now go to the
right and climb up the stairs (collect the Colt .45 ammo on your way).
There is body armor and more ammo up here. Jump down and go all the
way down the large slop, collecting ammo as you go.

Follow the boxes around to the left and go through a hole near some
destroyed metal. Back in here lies a shotgun. Pick it up and walk to
the white van outside the hole. Turn and look for a green arrow on the
wall. Just below it is another bunny bomb. Shoot it to cause a chain
reaction. Follow the boxes right to find another hole and a door. down
the hall.

Checkpoint...

Take a left and go up the ladder. Don't worry about the bunny bomb,
it's a fake. Turn right and go up the next ladder past the bomb. Turn
around and jump in the elevator. Follow the hall to a creepy security
room and infinite Colt .45 ammo. Turn and exit to see the vending
machine move. Enter the door it reveals.

Checkpoint...

Ok, 3 enemies will attack in this red-lit room. Use the boxes you fell
on for cover. Note that the enemies wear the same cloths as the
dolls... creepy yes, but perfect camouflage. When being shot at, use
your focus time to see there guns. After, go through the curtains and
under the green arrow.

Insane yet? Good. If not, you will be soon. NOTE the enemies this room
wear black with a white mask. This makes them almost impossible to
see. Use your focus time when needed and aim for the mask. Turn right
from the bunny, then left, then another left. HOLD IT! see those 2
white things on each side? Those are enemies. Try to pick them off
before they run, if not they will take cover behind the boxes in the
back. You can use the door way for cover. There are 4 total.

Go past the first set of boxes and turn right. Down the green lit hall
and turn left. 3 more enemies await you. After, go towards the windows
and turn left. Past the spider web and up the ladder.

And let there be light! Throw the switch and grab the body armor.
Through the door behind you. Again, all these bunnies are fake. Enter
the door at the end of the hall. Take 2 right turns and enter the
elevator.

Checkpoint...

And we're back. go outside the boxes and make a dash for the crates
stacked up on the right. Quickly disband with the 2 men. They wield
snipers. Grab the snipers and use the boxes for cover.

Careful! There are 4 snipers at the top of the ridge. 1 on the far
right peaking around the corner, 1 on the left between some boxes, 2
just above the last one. Remember, 2 shots from a AE Rifle and you're
toast. Whenever you get hit, duck behind a box and wait for your
health to recover.

As up approach the slop, bunny bomb will start falling and exploding
all over the slop. There are 2 ways to get up:

1) stay to the far right. Don't move over, not even and inch.
2) On the left side of the slope is an escalator that's moving
downward and wont let you walk up. However, if you face the escalator
and push the joy stick all the way forward then press the jump button
with perfect timing (as soon as your feet touch the ground, jump up
again), you can slowly hop up the escalator, thus bypassing the deadly
bunnies.

Either or, go up the stairs on the left side. Enter the door with the
green arrow. Follow the hall to the right to find some grenades and a
shotgun (which I wouldn't recommend using). Exit and go back to where
the body armor and 2 sniper where.

Checkpoint...

Jump in one of the lifts as it stops near you. Get off when it stops
and up the stairs. Quickly draw your sniper and hid behind the vending
machine. Aim for the balcony in front and slightly to your left. Shoot
the people that run across. If you miss, they will rush you from the
hall in front of you. 10 enemies total.

After, walk up the hall and to the right. Stand in the middle of the
green arrows.

Sword fight!
He is no threat at all. Just use the standing scorpion twice and he
goes down. 150 points for sparing.

If you are injured, don't move! Wait for you health to come back, then
continue to where the first guy came from.

Sword fight!
He uses power strikes, which makes him even easier then the first.
Kill him and be on your way. 150 points for sparing.

Continue down the hall on the right and through the door.

Checkpoint...

Draw something and zoom in down the hall. See that dinosaur head?
Shoot it. It's a person. Follow the hall and go through the door on
the right. Grab the body armor and ammo if you want. Turn around and
go through the open door.

Checkpoint...

8 enemies are in this room. They will sneak up on you from both sides.
No easy win here. Stay sharp and shoot anything that moves. After,
jump the two walls and enter the igloo to find the key. Jump back over
the first wall and enter the door on the right.

Crazy yet? Excellent. Get in the cart thing and prepare for a wild
ride.

Checkpoint...

The cart will ride along the track. Keep an eye out for the glowing
bunny bombs. Shoot them before you run into them. Their numbers and
positions are random, so good luck.

When the cart stops you are almost at the end of this nightmare. Walk
down the hall and jump over the boxes. Turn right and walk through the
door.

Checkpoint...

In this room, there are 2 enemies in dinosaur costumes. Be careful not
to break the eggs. If you hit an egg 2 times it will burst, revealing
ammo, body armor, or another enemy. Be careful to only shoot the eggs
one at a time as not to overwhelm yourself. One of the eggs contains
the key. Which one is random, so you will have to shoot them all to
find it.

Use the key to enter the door. Follow the hall around. Open the door
the green arrow points to.

Checkpoint...

When you walk forwards into the circle, you will be drawn into 2
consecutive sword fights. Your health will not replenish between them,
so finish them as fast as possible.

Sword fight!
The first one uses power strikes. His health goes down quickly, so use
the standing scorpion to finish this fight. 150 points for sparing.

Sword fight!
He is fast, and will dodge most everything you use; including the
hammer. He uses regular attacks, and parrying them does nothing. Dodge
and attack using the standing scorpion for best results.

Walk through the door behind them.

Another easy opponent. Use the standing scorpion and don't even worry

Checkpoint...

Follow the hall. 6 enemies in the next room. Use the first desk for
cover and watch your sides, they will try to flank you. Making the
leader surrender doesn't do anything. After, find the leader and pick
up the key card where he lay. Go up the stairs on the left where all
the guys came from. Follow the hall around.

Checkpoint...

Enter the double doors. There are 4 men on the scaffolding with you
and 5 enemies below. Kill them all from you vantage point using the
floor sweeper for cover. After, use the key card on the door behind
the desk on the floor below.

Checkpoint...

There are 3 enemies in this room right off. Find the leader (he is
usually on the right) and make him surrender. 2 enemies will come as
reinforcements from the door on the left. Kill them and proceed
through the door.

Checkpoint...

Sword fight!
He will use power strikes for the first part of the battle. Dodge and
use the standing scorpion. After his health hits the half way point,
he will switch to regular attacks. Don't attack him directly or he
will break your stance. Instead, parry and break his stance. 100

right. Enter the hall on the left.

Checkpoint...

This room is empty. Walk towards the door on the right. An enemy will
appear and take cover behind the window in front of you. Finish him

sparing.

Cutscene...

Alright, move behind the desk and use it for cover. There are a lot of
weapons laying around the desk (I don't want to know why...). Use them
if you need ammo. 11 enemies will come from the scaffolding around the
room. Pick them off so they don't kill the old guy. After you kill all
of them, walk around to the front of the desk and talk to the old guy.

Cutscene...

Now use the door to the right.

Checkpoint...

You now have 230 seconds to exit the building. That is plenty of time.
As you round the corner, look out across the garden and take out the 3
snipers. Now look into the garden and kill the 5 men that come into
it. After, walk out and through the door they came out of.

Checkpoint...

No more timer. Follow the hall into the once empty room. There is 2
enemies on the scaffolding above, and 2 behind the window on your
level. You should be able to take them out in one focus time. After,
enter the door on the left side of the room and ride the elevator
down.

Follow the eerily quiet hall all the way back to the main room.

Walk forward and take a right. Take another right at the big gate and

Checkpoint...

Walk through the narrow passage. From here, snipe the 3 enemies below.
Jump down and 2 more enemies will come (one from each side of the
house). Take them out quickly, as there is nothing to use a cover.

Sword fight!
This is a very hard fight. There is no easy win. He parries every

few lucky hits. After a couple of hits, he will throw in some power
strikes every so often. This is your chance. Continue to dodge and
wait for a power strike. 200 points for sparing.

Proceed through the door he came from.

Checkpoint...

As soon as you take the corner, you are assaulted by 5 enemies as
close range. A car will drive up and crash into some boxes. Watch to
the right of the car to see the leader go running by. Focus time and
make him surrender. If you fail, this will be a very hard battle with
little cover.

Walk right and proceed down the ally.

Checkpoint...

Walk through the door in the metal to the right. Shoot both the
enemies there. Use the box they where looking at for cover as you kill
the other 2 enemies (one on the scaffolding and one in the mist
ahead). After, begin jumping hurdles to where the bottom enemy was.
After you jump the first, 2 more enemies will come and fire from the
scaffolding. Take them out quickly and continue. After the next
hurdle, yet 2 more enemies will appear on the scaffolding. Finnish
them and climb the ladder after the last hurdle.

the wood for cover and take them out. Follow the right side to find a
small passage. Jump off the edge of the passage and enter the well lit
double doors.

Walk up to the girls in the chair.

Cutscene...

find. Use whatever you can find for cover. After, walk up the right
side walk and enter the door at the end. walk to the right and press
the button beside the sliding door.

Checkpoint...

As you approach the white car, 2 enemies will attack. Kill them
quickly. When you take the corner beware! This hall has shops on
either side with ambushes waiting, as well as several enemies that
come head on down the street. There is no set order to the attacks, so
be careful. There are 10 total.

After the fighting scavenge the shops for weapons and body armor. Now
follow the road to the end and enter the door way. Shoot the propane
tanks and enter the hole they open.

Turn and enter the red double doors for a some grenades and a Type 89
hidden behind the desk. Exit and enter the security room to grab the
body armor. Exit the security room and turn left. Down the stairs and
focus time all 3 enemies down there. After, 8 more will come as
reinforcements. Use the door way for cover and pick them all off.
Careful, as one of them will  throw grenades. Once everyone else is
dead, a glass elevator will come down in the back of the room carrying
an enemy. He wont move, so snipe him and ride in the elevator.

tree. The other 4 will do the same. After, carefully approach the
house. You will be shot at by 2 snipers. Look up and use focus time to

you. The only way to break his sword is by using the Hammer or Little
scorpion.

Enjoy your ending!

======================================================================
=========================== 4)- Tips/Hints ===========================
======================================================================
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

1) STAY BEHIND COVER! I cannot stress this enough. Red Steel is not a
run-into-the-middle-of-the-room-while-surrounded-and-duel-wielding-
machine-guns game. If don't make ample use of cover, you will die.
Period.

2) Reload often. When not in danger, check both of your weapons to
make sure they are reloaded. When in a fire fight, reload as soon as
you get a chance. If you wait for it to reload automatically, it might
be at a very... inconvenient time.

3) The most abundant weapon isn't always the best choice. Sure, having
a weapon that has an ample supply of ammo is nice, but its often not a
very good weapon (Uzi). Use whatever weapons you want, but
choose wisely.

4) Take out snipers first. If you are in a room and know that someone
has a AE Rifle, aim for him first. He is the most deadly, as you
cant hear his shots, and it only takes two hits to kill you. Everyone
else may be noisy and put a lot of bullets into the air, but they
probably wont hit you, nor will they do as much damage.

======================================================================
4.1)- Explosives and how to use them
======================================================================

This section is simple: I'm going to teach you how to blow stuff up
that's not you :)

I'm often called the "explosives expert" by my friends (when it comes
to games), so lets see if that cares into this game....

Two things, listen close:

THE NUMBER ONE RULE OF EXPLOSIVES: EXPLOSIONS KNOW NO FRIEND OR FOE!
You are not immune to explosions, so make sure you are in a safe
  place before setting one off.

THE MOTTO OF EXPLOSIVES: ONE SHOT, 10 KILLS!
Explosives are what's called a "mass effect" weapon. Mass effect
refers to the "splash damage" that occurs form the fire ball and
shrapnel that come flying off the exploded object, damaging and
potentially killing anything within a wide area.

Explosives in Red Steel include:
- Cars and other vehicles
- Special Barrels
- Grenades

Cars and barrels (the latter often red or yellow) will explode with a
few shots for a rifle, while grenades have to be thrown.

=== Fireball time! ===

With that out of the way, here's some effective strategies:

1) Explosives are mass effect weapons, so use them to take out several
enemies at once. Do this by aiming for the explosive rather then
  the person.

2) Grenades can the thrown around corners by angling them properly. It
takes time to master, and you will lose many lives, but the end
result is worth it. being able to shoot around corners is a great
asset, especially in multiplayer battles as grenades are silent and
  almost impossible to detect.

3) When in multiplayer mode, hide on the other side of a door and wait
for it to open. When it does, throw a grenade just past the door.
Your opponent will walk right into it :)

4) Count the timer. Practice throwing grenades until you know exactly
how long it takes them to explode after throwing. If you get really
good, you can arc the grenade into the air high enough so that it
will actually explode in mid-air and cause damage to an
  unsuspecting sniper.

=== Safety Time! ===

There are very few places in Red Steel when explosive are actually
useful, especially since throwing grenades is such a pain. But
learning how to avoid explosions can save your life many times over.

1) When in a fire fight, NEVER hide behind an explosive object. EVER.

2) When in a seemingly empty room, stand back and destroy everything
explosive. You don't want to be walking along only to find a
suicidal enemy with bad aim hiding behind a car.

3) If someone throws a grenade at you, DON'T RUN AWAY! Charge the
person who threw it. It will not only catch them off guard, but
will keep you from getting hit by the grenade as well. This is
because a very newbie mistake made by most people is they aim at
the person when throwing a grenade. Unlike a rifle however,
grenades bounce then they hit. This means the grenade is likely to
go behind you, so if you run away you will actually be running
  toward the grenade.

4) when facing someone that likes to use grenades, be careful when
opening doors. Open a door, step through, then run back through and
see if something explodes on the other side. I know I love setting
  up ambushes like that :)

======================================================================
 4.2)- Infinite Respect Points Cheat
=====================================================================

you can increase your respect level to maximum by training at the
dojo, and using the hammer or little scorpion move repeatedly.  Though
the fight ends after a certain number of hits / respect gained, you
can just re-initiate.  Its really cheating in a way, but its there for
those that want to have all the kata's and weapons available for all
the missions.

======================================================================
===================== 5)- Kajima's Shooting Range ====================
======================================================================
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Kajima's shooting range is located behind the secret door in Harry's
bar beside the bar. You come to Harry's Bar before and after every
mission after the mission "Broken Wing." While you are there, go down
to the shooting range to pick up the weapons you will use during the
next mission.

Kajima's shooting range has almost every weapon in the game up for
grabs... but you have to prove you are worthy of them first. How?
Respect points. You have to have a certain amount of respect points
before you unlock the gun in question. Chart:

Respect points      Weapon
__________________________________________
|    P99 is unlocked from the start      |
|------------|---------------------------|
|    1,000   |        Colt .45           |

===================== 6)- Otori's Sword Training =====================
======================================================================
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Otori's sword training takes place in the Dojo you visit at the
beginning of "Interlude." Like Harry's Bar, you can return to the Dojo
before and after every mission after the mission "Broken Wing" except
you don't start here. You must exit Harry's Bar to return to the Dojo.

Follow the path across the bridge and through the 2 sets of doors.
Walk up and talk to Mariko (the girl). If you have the necessary
respect points, she will teach you a new Kata. Chart:

Respect Points    Technique

She doesn't just let you leave though. Before you can use the Kata,
you must prove you are capable of performing it. She will make use the
new Kata on her multiple times.

If you succeed, you will then be able to perform the Kata in any sword
fight.

==================== 8)- Frequently Asked Questions ==================
======================================================================
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

8.1)- How do I save?

You don't. It's done automatically at the end of every level. You
cannot restart from a checkpoint. Checkpoints are only used if you die
in-level.

8.2)- Help! My curser is jumping everywhere!

1) make sure your sensor bar is positioned properly.
2) make sure nothing is glaring off of the sensor bar.
3) you will probably have to mess with the sensitivity settings in the
Wii's main menu and the games menu to fix this. Red Steel wasn't
programmed very well, as a result things like this happen
occasionally.

8.3)- It wont let me talk to the Sanro Kai!

This can be tricky sometimes. Try walking up to them at weird angles,
or squeezing in-between furniture.

8.4)- I beat the game, but didn't get 100% completion.

In order to get 100% completion, you have to beat all levels with the
rank of "samurai" meaning you have to get all A's on your report card
on every level.

8.5)- Ok, how do I get all A's?

I listed the requirements at the beginning of each level. They may not
be perfect, but I am working on getting the exact requirements.
Basically, you have to beat the level as fast as possible, with as
many head shots as possible, while earning as many respect points as
possible.

8.6)- I cant unlock the 2 of the 3 multiplayer modes!

No. No you cant because its not an unlockable. You must have at least
3 players to access team deathmatch (second block) and at least 4
player for Killer Rules (third block). If you don't, you cannot select
or play these modes.

8.7)- Replay a Level Glitch?

This supposed "glitch" prevents you from going into replay a level
mode and obtaining a higher rank. Instead, you have to play story mode
all over again to get Samurai ranks on the missions you missed to
obtain 105% completion. I, personally, do not believe this is a glitch
at all.

============================ 9)- Trivia ==============================
======================================================================
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

1) the word "Gaijin"  means "foreigner".

2) you never see yourself nor do you have a single line in the entire
game.

3) there are actually several legends that say ninjas can freeze time.

4) in the mission Tetsuo's Games, you can hear the famous
Rayman: Raving Rabbits scream in the security room after the elevator
before you turn the power back on.

5) despite being called "RED Steel" there is no blood in the game. Or
at least not any human blood. In the mission "Fish Market" if you
shoot the hanging fish blood will fly everywhere.

====================== 11)- Version History ==========================
======================================================================
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

--------------------------
Version 0.5 02/15/07

Not done with story mode yet. However, most everything else is
finished except Multiplayer mode; which is kind of at the bottom of my
list right now.

-----------------------
Version 0.6 02/16/07

Fixed a few things, added a few things (sections 5)- and 6)-). Also
finished the "interlude" mission.

-------------------------
Version 0.7 02/19/07

Been a while. Finished the fish market mission, fixed up the sword
moves/guns charts, added a few more guns to section 5)-, and fixed up
the weapons section (though its still not finished).

--------------------------
Version 0.8 02/20/07

So close. Weapons section is finished, as is Kajima's shooting range.
Just 2 more levels and multiplayer mode to document and its done.

-------------------------
Version 1.0 02/21/07

Multiplayer mode finished. Story mode finished. *throws wild party*
Man did that take forever. Red Steel is only like a 10-15 hour game.
There may be a few minor updates in the future, but for the most part
its done.

-------------------------
Version 1.2 03/01/07

Added some descriptions and size to multiplayer levels and updated
some info in the Samurai Rank requirements.

------------------------
Version 1.5 07/24/07

Some general editing, and some reader-submitted stuff including an
explosive section and infinite respect points cheat :)
