I. Introduction & Overview
===========================
Wow! This game is definitely great and is in-depth enough to distract me
away from a Harvest Moon game (one of my passions). You can easily put
100+ hours into it.
It does start off a tad slow and has a few translation errors but definitely
not enough that it stops you from wanting to play. The slower start will not
last long and you will be busy in no time.
If you do get bored at any point you can take off and do optional careers or
side quests. In fact, as the story unfolds it draws you in more and more.
The plot was very well thought out with lots of twists and tons of side
quests resulting in long gameplay and value in re-play.
This game has great depth and tons of items and variations not to mention
the slew of careers you can get and play through.
It even lets you get pets (dogs) and do things like catch weasels in a blue
sand desert. You can also fish, swim, mine, and tons of other things.
While some of the characters are cartoonish, most of the game has a very real
graphic quality especially the scenery. The cartoon and realistic qualities
blend well. In fact, I have seen less real graphics on some pet games. These
pets look like pets.
Your main job results in learning and mastering battling techniques by
yourself and with party members to fight evil rogues. It is not as intense as
Baten Katios but it will keep you busy.
There is just so much to this game that it would take a huge walkthrough/items
list/careers/side quests/etc guide just to tell you all about it. This is
definitely my kind of in-depth game.
It is easy for some, especially reviewers to miss the massive scope of this
game and then give it a much lower score than it actually deserves. The
beginning of the game (few items and getting lost until you learn the maps)
looks a lot different than the middle to end of the game (huge amount of items,
knowledge of how to navigate the many areas, and tons of side quests). Many
people have already commented on the nice battle system as well.
-- But for now, let’s just delve into the aspects of Rogues!
(Note that this is more just a very detailed Rogue List and Rogue Location List
than a how to fight rogues guide.)
Note: I have extensively covered the entire ground surface of every area listed
below making sure to trigger at least 10-20 battles in various areas within
each place listed. This should give an accurate representation of all rogues
available in each area. If you are looking for a certain rogue in a certain
area and it is not appearing then just keep battling in different spots of the
area and it should appear. Note that the places listed below do not entail the
entire areas available in the game but just the areas that will have rogues you
can battle.
Press Ctrl-F to type in anything to search. Enjoy!

Note: Your Partizian friends won’t really help a lot so make sure you are
strong. They open the ring tunnels for you and give you a few points in
what they are high at. You usually get +1 to +3 points for each friend as
you get to them, and if you are lucky, you could get up to +5. These points
add to Opoona, Copoona, and Poleena’s max amounts. So if you got +1 FP then
everyone’s FP maximum amount would go up by 1 point. Also, don’t worry
about your friends. They do not die in the end, lol.

Dark Burrows
--------------------
Note: Dark Burrows is a maze so I have numbered the “tunnels (ring paths)”,
“splits”, and Partizian’s cave path directions (exits). Follow the
directions in the ( ). You choose 7 Partizians - you can choose anyone,
but for this listing I have chosen in order:
Masao, Mussoultus, Mendel, Nikita, Mishell, Ine, Joey
Dark Burrows is also not labeled well so as to get you lost. So every
“place” pops up as “Dark Burrows” and that is why it is listed so many
times. Just realize that every “Dark Burrows” is another separate place
and not a repeat of the same place.
Dark Burrows (B1)
(Orca ride to Orkalphin Coast, Warp to Partizian’s Hideout,
Ring Tunnel 1 -- hole up stairs)
Bloody Angler, Phantom, Solfor, Red Assassin, Vampire
Dark Burrows
(Ring Tunnel 1)
General Bull, Moon Witch, Colonel Crab, Oranyrus, Red Assassin
Dark Burrows
(1st Battle, Masao, Back exit only)
(Back exit -> Ring Tunnel 2)
Flamehead, Shadow of the Sun
Dark Burrows
(Ring Tunnel 2)
Evil Master, Crazy Bottle, Lock On
Dark Burrows
(2nd Battle, Mussoultus, Right & Left exits)
(Right exit curls to Mendel -> Ring Tunnel 3, then Mendel)
(Left exit is dead end path -> Ring Tunnel 4 -- dead end)
Leviathon
Dark Burrows
(Ring Tunnel 3)
Samarai Blade, Red Assassin, Evil Four, Bug Ninja, Crazy Bottle
Dark Burrows
(Ring Tunnel 4 -- dead end)
Red Assassin, Building, Samarai Blade, Ninja Bug, Crazy Bottle
Dark Burrows
(3rd Battle, Mendel, Back & Left exits)
(Back exit leads to Nikita -> Ring Tunnel 5, then Nikita)
(Left exit -> Ring Tunnel 6 -- dead end)
Phenomenom, Transform II, Crazy Bottle
Dark Burrows
(Ring Tunnel 5)
Colonel Crab, Max Kleargen, Mega Puchilla, Dark Moon, Heavy Balloon
Dark Burrows
(Ring Tunnel 6 -- dead end)
Heavy Balloon, Uncle Keyton, Star Human, Building, General Bull
Dark Burrows
(4th Battle, Nikita, Back exit only)
(Back -> Ring Tunnel 7)
Tomas Keyton
Dark Burrows
(Ring Tunnel 7, Right & Left path splits)
Don’t get lost here. When on path looking around, notice that the cave
holes have different colored rings in front of them:
(Nikita’s will look like pulsing blue rings with some pink color
-> takes you back to Nikita)
(Right path split looks like 3 silver rings -> leads to dead end path)
(Left path split looks like bone rings -> leads to Mishell)
Longchin, Disaster, Shadow of the Sun, Mother Oct, Ultimate Golem
Dark Burrows
(Right path split -- 3 silver rings -- dead end)
Mega Puchilla, Vampire, Killer Screen, Star Human, Oranyrus
Dark Burrows
(5th Battle, Mishell, Left path split -- bone rings, Back exit only)
(Back exit -> Ring Tunnel 8)
Salamander
Dark Burrows
(Ring Tunnel 8, Right path split & Forward path split)
Notice again that the cave holes have different colored rings in front
of them:
(Right path split looks like red & green rings -> leads to dead end)
(Forward path looks like pulsing blue rings -> leads to Ine)
Final Four, Mega Puchilla, Longchin, Heavy Balloon
Dark Burrows
(Right path split -- red & green rings -- dead end)
Evil Four, Mother Oct, General Bull, Max Kleargen
Dark Burrows
(6th Battle, Ine, Forward path -- pulsing blue rings, Right exit only)

Oranyrus (a lot of them)
Dark Burrows
(Ring Tunnel 9)
Longchin, Lock On, Crazy Bottle, Red Assassin, Evil Master, Ultimate Golem
Dark Burrows
(7th Battle, Joey, Back exit only)
(Back exit -> Ring Tunnel 10, then final battles at dark bonbon)
Twin Peaks
Dark Burrows
(Ring Tunnel 10)
- No rogues -> leads to Aizel & Babuscha Final Battles
Dark Burrows
(8th Battle -- Aizel & 9th Battle -- Babuscha, Dark Bonbon)
These are rogues that you will fight but will not end up in your rogue list:
Foggy (Aizel), Dark Shell Bonbons & Dark Crystal Glass Bonbon (Babuscha)
To beat Aizel:
- Use the Sonic Attack core (so it won’t get stuck in Foggy).
- Defeat Foggy and then defeat Aizel.
To beat Babuscha:
- Sonic Attack core works well again but try to hit the crystal ball
and dark parts of the shell bonbons.
- Defeating the Dark Crystal Glass Bonbon and the Dark Shell Bonbons
will defeat her.
